1941 DODGE FLAT FENDER MILITARY TRUCK WITH DUAL REAR WHEELS
WAS ORIGINALLY A 201 FLATHEAD 6 CYLINDER WITH A 4 SPEED TRANS AND SINGLE SPEED TRANFER CASE. NEEDS RESTORATION. WAS A RUNNING AND DRIVING TRUCK 2 YEARS AGO. VERY SOLID CAB ONLY HAS A COUPLE OF SMALL FLOOR HOLES AND REAR CAB TO FLOOR SEAM NEEDS SOME LIGHT RUST REPAIR. THE FRAME HAS BEEN HEAVILY (NOT FROM RUST ...JUST USAGE) PLATED. ALSO THE DOORS NEED SOME REPAIR ON THE INSIDE UNDERNEATH AS WELL AS WHERE THE MIRRORS MOUNT (SOMEONE WELDED ON PLATES TO INSTALL THE MIRRORS!!) CURRENTLY THE BED AND TAILGATE ARE OFF, BUT STILL INCLUDED. THE ENGINE IS GONE BUT THE REST OF THE DRIVELINE IS STILL THERE AND IN GOOD SHAPE. TRANSMISSION HAS THE AUXILLARY PTO DRIVE FOR A WINCH OR OTHER PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. (I HAVE AN ORIGINAL BRADEN PTO DRIVEN WINCH AVAILABLE SEPARATELY FOR $500) HAS A TRANSFERABLE NEW YORK REGISTRATION (NEW YORK IS A NON TITLE STATE) WHICH THE DMV RECOGNIZES AND WILL PRODUCE A TITLE WHEN TRANSFERRED. 2014 Dodge Durango bows with eight-speed auto, updated looks [w/video]
Thu, 28 Mar 2013Dodge has significantly updated its full-size Durango for the 2014 model year, giving the seven-passenger hauler a fresh look and a well-rounded boost of competitive features as it enters its fourth year in the showroom.
Cosmetically, it is hard to miss the revised front end with projector-beam headlamps and LED daytime running lamps, "floating" crosshair grille, a taller front bumper and a new lower fascia. The rear end of the facelifted Durango has been redesigned with the automaker's now-signature LED "racetrack" taillamps and resculpted rear fascia. All of the wheels are new too, with 18- and 20-inch options for each trim level with a variety of factory finishes.
Inside the cabin, buyers can select the automaker's latest Uconnect infotainment system with a full suite of infotainment features and connectivity accessed through an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Other optional goodies include a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seating and a Blu-Ray player capable of running unique programs on the twin individual rear monitors.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns
Thu, 16 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.
Chrysler recalls AWD 300, Charger, Ram 1500 over ZF transmission
Tue, 24 Dec 2013What do the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Ram 1500 all have in common? Yes, they're all Chrysler products, and two of them are based on the same platform. And we're sure you could find more similarities between them all, but the common trait we're looking at here is that, while they all come standard in rear-drive form, they're also available with all-wheel drive. And it's the transmission in those models that's the subject of the latest recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The output shaft on the eight-speed automatic transmission supplied by ZF to Chrysler for the AWD versions of the 300, Charger and Ram 1500 is apparently prone to fracture. That in the end could leave the vehicle without power and could, according to the NHTSA investigation, increase the chance of a crash. The vehicle could also roll away if even if left in Park without the handbrake applied.
That's why Chrysler is calling in 4,194 examples of those three models from the 2013 model year. Dealers will be responsible for inspecting the transmissions and, where necessary, replace the entire unit. See the full recall notice below for all the details.
