Up for sale is a 1955 Dodge 1/2 ton shortbed pickup.  Dodge made quite a few variations on this theme in the 50's, this is the low side bed with the small back window.  This truck has a 108" wheelbase, and was a V8 truck but someone took the engine out long before I bought it.  The transmission is still there, but the engine is gone.  This truck is just about as rust free as is possible to get- I have gone over it pretty well and I have found no rust through anywhere.  This is a very solid truck and would make a great project.  All the glass is good with the exception of the drivers door, that glass is gone.  The steering is very tight, both bumpers are bent in but repairable.  The bed is a little rough, but again is very usable.  Overall a very very solid, rust free truck that has great potential, a super short wheelbase, and is different than everyone's Chevy or Ford

I prefer phone calls to anything else if you have questions.  I can store the truck for you for a while if that's important, but you'll need to arrange things with me if it's going to be more than a few weeks.  I do not have a title for this truck, but will provide a notarized bill of sale with purchase.  Getting a title in Colorado is not terribly difficult, call to discuss details if that's important to you.  Again, I do NOT have a title at present, there is just no way to list it that way in Ebay's dropdown menu.

Thanks to a helpful ebayer who pointed out that I had forgotten to add the telephone number I asked folks to call-
(303) 681-7770 .  I have also added several pictures of the passenger side of the truck.

Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.

Indications of 825 hp and emissions issues for Hellcat called 'speculation' by Chrysler

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is probably one of the hottest cars of the moment mostly because of its insane, 707-horsepower supercharged V8. However, there are conflicting reports coming out that the powerplant might be having problems with its emissions compliance and may be capable of even more power.
Jalopnik says that an unnamed source within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles told it that the Hellcat was having problems meeting emissions standards at its 707-horsepower tune. The person claimed that the automaker has been testing the V8 with different types of sensors, possibly to make it a bit cleaner in the future. Autoblog spoke to SRT spokesperson Dan Reid, and he said about the claimed poor emissions, "It's totally speculation."
The source also claimed that the Hellcat had been dynoed at a monumental 825 horsepower, internally. Based on the other rumor, though, it's hard to imagine the engine being emissions compliant like that. Autoblog also asked Reid about this speculation about more power and was told, "They are totally speculating about that."

2013 Dodge Dart GT

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

My younger brother bought a Dodge Dart earlier this summer. It's a basic SXT, in Maximum Steel Metallic, with the 2.0-liter engine, a six-speed automatic transmission and not a whole lot else. Unfortunately, at the time, the Dart was one of the few cars in the compact class I'd never driven. I didn't know a lot about it, and therefore, didn't have a lot to say when he bought it. I think the words "based on an Alfa," popped out when I first saw it.
As it turns out, he's grown quite fond of the dark gray sedan, so it was with some degree of enthusiasm that I paid him a visit in this bright-orange Dart GT. I was excited to see what it was about the Dart that he enjoyed so much, despite my tester featuring a different engine, transmission and a lot more tech. After a week with the car, though, I must say: I don't quite see what all the fuss is about.
