Head Turning 1965 Dodge A100 Pickup 273 4bbl V8 with a Torqueflight Automatic Transmission.  The interior is all custom with the doghouse, seats, door panels, ceiling and back side panels are all covered in black and gray heavy duty fabrics and the floor has dark gray carpet.  The steering wheel is a new Grant Challenger piece.  Music is provided by an Alpine AM/FM CD player with 50 watts per channel.  Side and back windows are tinted.  On the outside the whole truck is pained a hot red with custom flames painted on both sides.  The front of the truck and rear tailgate are painted in red transitioning to orange then transitioning to yellow.  There are a few paint chips.  The back bed is covered with a black toneau cover, a few of the snaps have come off.   This truck really shows well and turns heads everywhere it is driven.  The 273 V8 4 bbl motor has headers and dual exhaust that has a great sound but not real loud.  The tires are new BF Goodrich T/A Radials with P235/60R15s on front and P255/60R15s on rear mounted on Center Line wheels, new DISC brakes on all 4 wheels (this thing stops on a dime and beats the heck out of the old crappy drum brakes) with a functioning emergency brake, new windshield gasket, rebuilt heater box, new king pins and a rebuilt steering box.

Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.

While these are some of our favorites, Mopar is bringing plenty to SEMA, so let us know your top choices in the comments section.

NHTSA investigating Ram 1500 models for rear differential failure

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and its Ram brand following a number of reports regarding the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. According to 15 consumer complaints, the trucks' rear differential locked up while in other cases, the driveshaft separated at its connection to the diff.
Nearly half of the reports claim the truck was traveling at or above 50 miles per hour, while two consumers reported that the diff lockup/driveshaft separation sent their pickups into a spin. Most troubling, though, is that consumers reported little to no sound indicating there was a problem with their truck.
We reached out to Ram for additional information, such as how many vehicles may be affected or what equipment might be fitted that could cause the issue. Unfortunately, the company wasn't willing to elaborate on specifics.
