1973 Dodge D100 club cab, it has 1 ton springs in the back along with a set of helpers above those. The truck runs and drive but could use a set of tires. I installed a new water pump and rebuilt the carb. The radiator has JB weld on it but holds water. The wood bed is new but needs a finish coat or leave as is. It has turbo style mufflers with trumpet style exhaust tips. The front floor boards are rusted out, but have sheet metal riveted to them, there is minor rust in the corner of the drivers door. The truck seems to have had the passenger front fender replaced some time in its history. I have not registered or insured this vehicle and it is sold as is and is the buyers responsibility to transport. It has a 4 inch crack in the windshield. All the windows are there and roll up and down. The buddy seats are still there and look good. The driver and passenger seats have seen better days. The engine bay is clean for being an old truck and seems to have been taken care of in its day. It has a new Battery. The rear end has been replaced. It has a heavy duty rear bumper. The front bumper has surface rust and a crack in the drivers side. The power steering works perfectly. Mechanically the truck sounds good, just needs some TLC and some elbow grease. Chrysler recalling over 280k minivans because airbags may deploy on wrong side
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Chrysler has issued a recall for some 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesman vans built between May 10, 2012 and June 7, 2013. These vehicles may have a software error that would cause the wrong side (opposite side) airbags to deploy in a crash. With this defect, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbag to deploy, etc.
The recall affects 281,500 vehicles in total: 224k in the US, 49,300 in Canada, 2,900 in Mexico and 5,300 in other locations. Chrysler will notify owners of effected vehicles, and reflash the offending occupant restraint control module to resolve the issue. Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill
Wed, 10 Sep 2014According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.
Dodge Scat Packages add Mopar performance upgrades in three stages
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Dodge has revealed what it calls Scat Package Stage Kits that enhance the performance of the Charger and the Challenger equipped with the 5.7-liter V8, and the Dart equipped with the turbocharged 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine. The Scat Packs use Mopar performance parts that also can be bought separately. Most of the upgrades increase engine output, but Dodge somehow manages to not specifically mention the power gains associated with each Scat Pack.
The three Scat Packs offered for the V8-powered cars focus on higher power ratings, and each stage comes complete with a unique engine-management calibration to optimize output. Stage one comes with a cold-air intake and a cat-back exhaust; stage two adds a performance camshaft; and stage three really gives you the goods, adding ported polished cylinder heads and performance headers.
For the Dart, the Scat Packs focus on engine, transmission, chassis and brake upgrades. Stage one will net you a cold-air intake, a short-throw shifter and slotted rotors with performance brake pads; stage two adds a cat-back exhaust system and an engine-management calibration to increase output by taking advantage of premium-octane gasoline; and stage three adds 13-inch vented brake discs up front clamped by four-piston calipers, suspension with adjustable springs and struts and performance front and rear antiroll bars.
