Up for sale is out tried and true 1970 Dodge Power Wagon short box.  These trucks are hard to find in any condition and this one has lived in Oregon it's whole life!  I hate to sell it however we are moving and need to lighten the load.  To begin with I want to make it very clear to potential buyers that the winch, winch bumper, and all associated electrical stuff will be removed from this vehicle when the auction is over.  It will be in running driving condition with the stock steel bumper shown in the pictures.  If you really were interested in the winch/bumper let me know however it is NOT included in this auction.

Anyhow, on to the parcticulars:

Engine:

-318 cubic inch, tired but still runs and starts fine
-670cfm Holley Truck Avender Carb for your offroad pleasure
-Aluminum Holley intake manifold
-Nice dual exhaust replaced about 4 years ago

Trans:

-NP-435 with LOW first, goes into third a little stiff but works well otherwise
-Fluid changed last fall

Driveline:

-Front drive shaft replaced (new, not rebuilt)
-Trans to T-case drive shaft replaced (new, not rebuilt)
-Transfer case works in all positions including 4-wheel LOW
-Front diff is a Dana 44 with 4.09 gears and an open carrier
-Rear diff is a Chrysler 8.75" with 4.10 gear and an open carrier

Brakes:

-The brakes have been services with new shoes, lines, hoses and wheels cylinders as need
-The master cylinder was also replaced

Electrical System/Accessories:

-Wiper Motor Works
-Heater controls are free and the fan works great
-New heater core installed in 2010
-Speedometer, oil pressure, and temp gauge all function.  As far as their accuracy I can't say.
-Fuel gauge inop.  It tested good on the bench so maybe the float in the tank sunk.  I can include a yard stick for checking fuel level if needed.

Interior:

-Seat upholstery needs some help but it still conmfy
-NICE door panels and arm rests
-NICE uncracked dash pad
-NICE sun visors although one needs a little re-stitching

Mopar '13 Dart is a bruiser of a compact

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

For the fourth year in a row, Mopar is offering a limited-production car decked with a plenty of add-ons and a unique look. This year's black-and-blue car is the Mopar '13 Dart, which was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show with the now-signature paint scheme. Like previous Mopar models, only 500 of the '13 Darts will be built. Past models include the Mopar '10 Challenger, Mopar '11 Charger and the Mopar '12 300.
The all-black Dart gets a brightly contrasting, offset blue stripe running the full length of the car, and other styling mods like the aero-tuned body kit, gloss black grille, wheels and mirror caps. Curiously, Mopar chose to stick with the Dart's standard headlights rather than the darker, smoked lights. The interior gets a similar black-and-blue treatment, but this unique cabin features a blue leather driver's seat to go along with the black leather seating for the rest of the passengers.
More than just a styling package, the Mopar '13 Dart also gets some performance and handling goodies to complement the Dart's turbocharged 1.4-liter engine, such as upgraded brakes with slotted rotors, a lowered suspension, retuned electric power steering and a "sport-tuned" exhaust system.

2014 Challenger R/T Shaker, Mopar '14 Challenger bring back iconic hood

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Enamored of the Dodge Challenger but wish you could get one with a shaker hood? We've got good news, because Dodge and Mopar have teamed up to bring it back.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker packs the same 5.7-liter Hemi V8 as the standard Challenger R/T, but upgrades the business end with a through-the-hood exposed cold-air intake system. The retro hood scoop protrudes from the center of the hood in satin black (matching the decklid spoiler) to feed the Hemi and shakes with the engine just like the original from 1970. The Shaker model also comes with a Super Track Pak that adds a new steering rack, brake linings, shocks and 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car rubber. You can also shut off the stability management system completely in this car. A series of interior and exterior trim enhancements round out the look. The whole package adds $2,500 to the price of a Challenger R/T Classic for an all-in MSRP of $36,995.
In case that's not enough, Dodge is also offering a limited-edition Mopar Challenger that follows the 2010 Mopar Challenger, 2011 Mopar Charger, 2012 Mopar 300 and 2013 Mopar Dart. Limited to just 100 examples, the 2014 Mopar Challenger gets the same Shaker hood intake, unique graphics and wheels, an enhanced interior and a long list of optional extras from the Mopar parts catalog. Dodge isn't saying just yet how much the Mopar Challenger will cost, but you can bet it will command a considerable premium for the exclusivity alone.

Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
