This van was in seemingly excellent condition for it's age.  I purchased it from a dealer who also works for a Mercedes dealership in the Youngstown area--it was a trade-in on a Mercedes Benz.  The previous owners took excellent care of it...other than sun fade on the paint and a scratch here and there, it looked great for being a 2000.  I paid a full $4100 out the door for it in late September 2012 after having a mechanical engineer look it over.  In December 2012, the brakes went out and it was a rusted brake line which he replaced.  He wiggled the suspension parts around and said it was tight.  His concern was that the steering was a little loose at center, but I'd been told by friends that that is typical on the old Dodges and figured the steering box just needed tightened.  Otherwise, it drove GREAT!  In February 2012 the steering wheel was off center as if you didn't align it when doing tie rod ends.  The steering gradually got looser and less stable.  Figured it needed tie rod ends--that's what the slight wandering felt like.  These are the only warnings I really got that anything was wrong.  Upon parking in a small hardware store parking lot that was lacking in space and required quite a few turns back and forth to get situated and parked properly in a tight space (April 2012), the steering became completely independent of turning the wheel.  Had it towed, and was shocked to hear that the frame actually broke because there are so many of these vans still on the road out there and their reviews are pretty good.  In disbelief, I looked at it with my own eyes and it is the case.  Rusted and broken. The spare tire is missing on this but the jack is still in its holder. The van does have a perfect small bulls-eye chip on the passenger side windshield (no spreading whatsoever) from my bf following a semi a little too close, but this auction does include the repair kit from NAPA to fill it.

This van's interior and engine were as perfect as could get and everything works on it.  It only has 52,000 miles on it.  Interior is very very clean...was spotless when I purchased it, and the seats are super plush and cozy.  The back seat folds down into a super comfy plush bed!  Said I would never own a van, but after driving this even my daughters fell in love with the "BIG GREEN VAN"...with the roominess and the ride.   When I took it to work, since I wasn't allowed to sit at my desk to read on my lunch break, I would go out to the back seat of the van and read the Bible!  It just floated along on the highway and ran perfect.

MORE PICTURES TO FOLLOW--HOPEFULLY A PHOTOBUCKET SLIDE SHOW--I RAN OUT OF TIME TONIGHT UPLOADING THEM!  IF NOT POSTED YET, MESSAGE ME ON EBAY WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND I WILL SEND YOU MANY MORE!!!

Hopefully someone can get use out of this or part out interiors and pieces with one they have.  I didn't look into getting the frame fixed as it probably isn't feasible or practical for me financially to have it done by a mechanic or frame shop.  (I currently have a rust free Celica and am spoiled by the gas mileage with it!  This auction is only for the van.)  Clean carfax--email me and I should be able to scan it to you.  Clear title.  My loss is your gain!

I reserve the right to end this auction early as this vehicle is for sale locally as well and will go to the first person who gives me cash in hand.  No warranties express or implied.  It is 13 years old.  Van is currently located at K G's Auto Repair in Norwalk, OH and will obviously needed to be transported/flat-bedded--it is not drivable in its present condition.  Please look at the pictures closely to see the condition of the van.  Check my feedback and bid with confidence!

Dodge Scat Packages add Mopar performance upgrades in three stages

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Dodge has revealed what it calls Scat Package Stage Kits that enhance the performance of the Charger and the Challenger equipped with the 5.7-liter V8, and the Dart equipped with the turbocharged 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine. The Scat Packs use Mopar performance parts that also can be bought separately. Most of the upgrades increase engine output, but Dodge somehow manages to not specifically mention the power gains associated with each Scat Pack.
The three Scat Packs offered for the V8-powered cars focus on higher power ratings, and each stage comes complete with a unique engine-management calibration to optimize output. Stage one comes with a cold-air intake and a cat-back exhaust; stage two adds a performance camshaft; and stage three really gives you the goods, adding ported polished cylinder heads and performance headers.
For the Dart, the Scat Packs focus on engine, transmission, chassis and brake upgrades. Stage one will net you a cold-air intake, a short-throw shifter and slotted rotors with performance brake pads; stage two adds a cat-back exhaust system and an engine-management calibration to increase output by taking advantage of premium-octane gasoline; and stage three adds 13-inch vented brake discs up front clamped by four-piston calipers, suspension with adjustable springs and struts and performance front and rear antiroll bars.

2013 Dodge Durango R/T

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Not too long ago, Chevrolet got itself into some trouble by throwing the SS badge on just about everything it produced, so I've always been a little hesitant about the seemingly excessive use of the R/T nameplate on Dodge vehicles. For the 2013 model year, every model in Dodge's lineup has an R/T trim level from Dart all the way up to the Durango. Although the R/T name used to signified models made for road and track, I doubt anyone would be delusional enough to assume the Durango - and some of the other models wearing this badge - are suited for any sort of track duty.
Still, when this 2013 Dodge Durango R/T rolled up for me to drive for the week, I couldn't help but take in its big, mean and imposing stance. Sure, if I had my choice of buying any of the Dodge R/T products, the Charger and Challenger would be my top picks for sure, but it's easy to say that the Durango would be a close third - far above the R/T versions of the Avenger, Journey and Grand Caravan.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat #0001 raises $825,000 for charity

Sun, 28 Sep 2014

$60,000 doesn't strike us as a lot to pay for a muscle car with 707 horsepower on tap. $825,000... now that's a different story. But, according to the official SRT blog, that's how much one generous and eager buyer paid for the privilege of getting his (or her) hands on the very first new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Decked out in Stryker Red paint that's usually reserved for the Viper, the supercharged Challenger bearing the VIN 0001 went up for auction at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino in Las Vegas on Saturday under the auspices of Barrett-Jackson. By the time bidding ended, the gavel dropped at $825,000 - nearly 14 times the sticker price - 100 percent of which will benefit Opportunity Vehicle, a charity that aids the intellectually handicapped in the Las Vegas Area.
