1995 dodge ram 2500 cummins 5.9 diesel 260,100 miles 12 valve cummins Automatic transmission 4x4, at 230,000 miles transmission overhaul with SunCoast clutches and Dave Goerend triple disk converter and valve body , (transmission wasn't bad upon overhaul just overdrive slipped. ) shifts and functions very well . Converted to dually Steel wheels with chrome simulators 3:55 gear ratio 6 wild country lt235/85r16 tires new at 250,000 miles Manual door locks and windows Tilt wheel ,cruise control Gray cloth interior, fair condition, cleans up nice, no rips or tears. A/c works, gets cool but could use recharge. Truck has been sitting since October because I don't drive it in the winter. It was a Florida truck until 2010, and parked every winter since then. Re-painted in 2012 due to common paint peel and fade. No rust repairs or bondo needed. Truck is rust free except for driver side door jam has surface rust from boot wear in and out of truck. Engine is stock other than #5 fuel plate. Timing is set at 16 degrees advanced. Maintained with Scheaffers oil and cummins fleet guard filters. BHAF " Big Honkin' Air Filter" 5 inch exhaust system 6 inch tip Starts in any weather . Moritz bed new in 2012 with gooseneck hitch , with 7flat pin trailer connector, LED lights. Hero gets his truck back better than new thanks to community support [w/video]
Sun, 29 Jun 2014You ever hear a story and start cringing before you hear the end because you know how it's going to turn out? That could very well have been the case with the story from a few weeks ago in West Valley City, Utah, where a 14-year-old kid stole his grandfather's Hyundai Veloster and took it for a joyride - through a park full of children. But instead it turned into a heart-warming tale of heroism and a community banding together to do what's right... and then some.
Bryson Rowley was that hero who identified the danger and, rather than sit idly by and watch the joyrider potentially run over a child, got into his truck and drove it into the menacing runaway hatchback. The collision caused some $7,500 to his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, but instead of getting stuck with the bill - one which his insurance may very well have refused to pay since the crash was, technically speaking, intentional - his community pitched in a helping hand.
Bryan Ellison, who owns West Valley Carstar with his brother, saw the news on television and wanted to help. So he brought Rowley a rental car, picked up his truck and brought it back to his auto repair shop. People from around the community donated parts, and when all was said and done, some $15,000 of work and upgrades were performed on the Ram that was returned to an overwhelmed Bryson Rowley better than new. Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

I just sold a car. Nothing new. Millions do it every day. But my car was a 1995 Dodge Viper, so maybe it was a bit more unique since just 12,000 were built. And like others selling a car that's been a part of the family for close to 20 years, this was a confluence of emotions for me. I was sad to see it go, but happy to have the cash and one less big, shiny, under-utilized object in my life.
