Please Note: The Vehicle Report shows and accident--This truck was never in an accident, Never. I was pulling my boat--got cut off and the trailer clip fender clipped a fire hydrant--No Damage to Truck. Slightly bent trailer fender, that's it. I'm insured with USAA and I'll see if I can get some documentation or get the report straight. First vehicle I've sold on Ebay so I'm not sure if I could have checked that prior to listing or not--just noticed in ad after listing.
This is my personal truck. I bought the truck new in December of 2007. I could have purchased the 6.7L Cummins, but decided that this proven workhorse was the superior truck. The 5.9L doesn't have all the new emission equipment and therefore not all the associated problems and repair costs. I'm a 51 year old male--the trucks never been used for towing with the exception of towing my ski boat to the ramp a mile away several times a year. The truck is far more truck than I need or use, that's why it only has 39,000 miles on it. Actual mileage is under 39,000 by several hundred miles, but I do drive it occasionally. As far as I know there is nothing wrong with the truck--I had a recent Maryland Inspection and it passed without issue. If I keep the truck I'll buy another warranty. I had the 5 year 100,000 mile warranty but that ended last December. I have a friend with the same truck and transmission with almost 500K and he's never replaced the transmission--and he tow's a large camper. The truck is loaded with all options (as far as I know) with the exception of the Navigation and Sunroof. The truck is damn near spotless with the exception of a few nicks on the rockers from rocks--nothing out of the ordinary. I have all the factory parts with the exception of the exhaust--I might have the muffler. The truck has never been chipped or dogged--that said when I put the 35 Toyo's on my mileage dropped 14-19 mpg vs 17-23 mpg so I put on a Mileage Module which is included with the truck (I took it off, didn't do much). My speedometer was fast by about 5mph so I purchased a Smarty Junior so I could change to the correct tire size. I've never needed additional power--the truck will pull stumps--enough said. But if you need to dial up for towing the Smarty Junior is probably the safest and best way to do that. The truck has never had any engine oil other than Synthetic. I recently changed the transmission fluid, and front and rear differential fluid and replaced with Amsoil Synthetic fluid(s). I added an AFE Rear Diff Guard and Mag Tech Trans Pan to make fluid changes simple--not because I'm a hot-dog. If you want to hot-dog and abuse the truck please feel free to buy it. I'm selling the truck because I have too many vehicles and I'm tired of paying insurance on something that sits in the driveway. I have one new Toyo 35 on a spare. The tires might have another 10K in them--I don't know but you only need three (about $900-$1000). The factory Michelin's are in excellent shape with about 15K I think. They look almost new (they're on the Chrome Clad Aluminum Wheels). The only issue with the truck that bothers me is that the leather wrapped steering wheel had a knick from my wedding ring. I put a cover on it and the cover lefts some marks in it. I just put new covers on it.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat #0001 raises $825,000 for charity
Sun, 28 Sep 2014$60,000 doesn't strike us as a lot to pay for a muscle car with 707 horsepower on tap. $825,000... now that's a different story. But, according to the official SRT blog, that's how much one generous and eager buyer paid for the privilege of getting his (or her) hands on the very first new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Decked out in Stryker Red paint that's usually reserved for the Viper, the supercharged Challenger bearing the VIN 0001 went up for auction at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino in Las Vegas on Saturday under the auspices of Barrett-Jackson. By the time bidding ended, the gavel dropped at $825,000 - nearly 14 times the sticker price - 100 percent of which will benefit Opportunity Vehicle, a charity that aids the intellectually handicapped in the Las Vegas Area.
Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome
Tue, 24 Dec 2013Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...
Chrysler slows minivan production, hasn't built VW Routan this year
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Chrysler has slowed production of its Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans this week, Automotive News reports. The Windsor, Ontario plant will cut its three shifts from eight hours each to four hours each in an effort "to align production with market demand," a Chrysler spokesperson told AN. Chrysler also builds the closely related Routan minivan for Volkswagen at its Ontario facility, but has not built a single example thus far in 2013.
Sales of Chrysler's minivans fell 15 percent for the first two months of 2013, and a large part of that has to do with the 26-percent drop of the Grand Caravan alone (the T&C was only down by one percent). According to Automotive News data, as of March 1, Chrysler had an unsold inventory of 24,713 Town and Country models and 18,547 Grand Caravans - a 69- and 43-day supply, respectively.
"No sense running full speed now, then have a lot of vehicles sitting around a few months down the line," Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson told AN. Full production is expected to resume again on March 18.
