Message me at : marnasgasm@asia.com Up for auction is a 2007 Dodge Sprinter that has been in my family since almostnew. We bought it in 2007 from the Dodge Dealership with like 900miles on it. Webought to be used for a moving company for my brother which ended up not workingout. I got it from him in 2009 and I used it for a daily driver for the last 8years. The last year or so it started to loose power when going up hill. I havelearned that if I switch the gears manually that it kicks the power up a bit. Iknow longer drive it so I want to sell it.This can still be driven every day theway it is now. It gets up to at least 70mph. It will go up hill and down. Wehave no real sprinter mechanics in my area so I do not want to deal with theproblem. It also has a tire and brake sensor needing to be replace which isabout $75 at the tire shop (it just doesn't bother me) all this does istells you if your tire pressure is low and the brake sensor came on a while agobut has not made driving or stopping any different. I know its not the best wayto think but it doesn't bother me. The van stops just like has always done.I realize that this van will need some money put into it to make it function theway it is supposed to so this is why the starting price will reflect this. Iwould say $1000 would fix everything. Thats just a guess I really have no clue, but I use the van daily and go almost every were in it so I cant imagine its tobad. The van has a scratch on the side and a sun blister of some sort on theleft fender all shown it the photos. It does have normal wear and tear it'snot a perfect car, but over all I think its pretty nice for a cargo van. Thepaint shines and Im sure there is a little dent here and their but nothingmajor. The chrome trim on the hood is loose and two tires need to be replaced. Ihave a local shop that has two good used ones for $79 per tire if you want I cantake care of that for the

Dodge Viper to out-Hell the Hellcat with supercharged V10?

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

The Viper wouldn't be the Viper if it wasn't the most powerful model under the Chrysler umbrella. But with the arrival of the Hellcat engine in the Dodge Charger and Challenger, the Viper has fallen behind in the bragging rights department: where the new supercharged V8 produces 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated V10 offers "only" 640 hp and 600 lb-ft - gargantuan output figures by almost any other standard, but crucially behind on the SRT power scale. Conner Avenue is going to have to do something about that.
Although the Hellcat's engine reportedly won't fit under the Viper's hood, SRT is now rumored to have another trick up its sleeve: supercharge the existing V10. According to the Pentastar performance enthusiasts at allpar.com, Chrysler has already taken delivery of the first such prototype engines so that it can begin the process of fitting it into an upgraded Viper.
The spooled ten-pot is tipped to produce around 800 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. More than that and the Viper's drivetrain, chassis and bodywork would have to be substantially reworked. Though beefier transmissions are available, fitting them would reportedly set off a domino-game of changes required to handle the added torque. Which may be something Chrysler would be prepared to do for the next-generation model, but in the meantime, 800 hp could prove enough to put the Viper back atop the Mopar performance ladder where it belongs, and give it an edge against the new Corvette Z06 to rekindle sales.

Aficionauto drives Vin Diesel's fast and furious 1970 Dodge Charger

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

The Aficionauto host Christopher Rutkowski has a real passion for original and replica cars from movies and television, whether they are from James Bond, Jurassic Park, or incredibly obscure Japanese shows. However, he might have outdone himself this time because he hopped into one of the biggest automotive stars of contemporary cinema. This 1970 Dodge Charger appeared in Fast & Furious and came back in Fast Five, where Paul Walker actually drove it. The menacing, black muscle car will make its return to the franchise in the seventh film, too.
The Fast and Furious Charger is a real beast no matter how you look at it. The interior is nothing more than two seats and a roll cage, and as the video shows, this thing vibrates constantly like a coiled mass of muscle ready to strike. The camera can barely stay in place most of the time. Also, Dom's Dodge is more than happy to do a smoky burnout and leave the driver partially deaf afterward from its wonderful, ear-splitting engine roar.
The Aficionauto also interviews the man who controls the keys to this beast. Bob Hartwig was once an F-15 pilot, but he also loved Hollywood vehicles. Now, he's a partner at Picture Car Warehouse, a company with about 850 cars that supplies vehicles to film studios. This Charger definitely seems to be Hartwig's favorite in the collection, as it should be.

Chrysler investing $20M in Toledo plant to support 9-speed auto production

Sun, 28 Apr 2013

In 2011, Chrysler announced a $72-million investment in its Toledo Machining Plant to modernize production of the eight- and nine-speed torque-converters for automatic transmissions made there. That upgrade work won't be finished until Q3 of this year, but Chrysler has already announced a further $19.6-million investment to increase production capacity for the nine-speeders.
The extra units will be necessary because the nine-speed transmission they'll be mated to is going into three popular models: it will debut on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, then go into the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart. The company predicted that this year alone it would sell 200,000 units equipped with the nine-speed tranny, and it is spending some $374 million in addition to the investment in Toledo to upgrade production capacity for it.
The work attached to this new investment won't begin until Q3 of 2014, and it will be finished by the end of that year. There's a press release below with all the details.
