Up for sale is my 2004 Dodge Viper.  I purchased this car new and have been the only owner.  As you can tell from the photos, it is in excellent shape and I have babied it since my adoption.  It has always been garaged.  As for some specifics, I have never raced this car and have driven it as gently as posssible.  It has had no major repairs and most is factory original.  As for the few item exceptions, the CD player/radio is not original, the factory one jammed and it was replaced about 4 years ago with the upgrade seen in the photos.  There are no dents, major scuffs or scratches and the body s near mint.  The interior is like new.  On the passenger side rims, there are some minor scratches, barely visible, when I got too close to a curb once.  Also, the passenger window switch acts up, sometimes it will stick and sometime it works normally.  The clutch was replaced 3 years ago as well as the tires a few years back.  The battery is a few months old.  I am selling this car only because I have a 3 car garage and have recently purchased a Masarati and need the space.  It runs and works like a dream and you will not be disappointed in your purchase.  For serious bidders, I can send additional photos if desired.   I also can video it running, starting up and driving if needed.  Included are all original manuals which I recieved when new.  Winner to send immediate $500 deposit by paypal, additional funds in Certified Bank Cashier's Check only and are to be received no later than 96 hours after winning bid.  Winner can choose to pick up locally from Cullman Alabama 35055 or can arrange for shipping to your home at your arrangement and cost.  I know I will miss by baby but as they say, "all good things must come to an end."  I can text additional photos if you so desire, serious inquiries to 256-665-2585. Thank you for looking

Chrysler slows minivan production, hasn't built VW Routan this year

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Chrysler has slowed production of its Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans this week, Automotive News reports. The Windsor, Ontario plant will cut its three shifts from eight hours each to four hours each in an effort "to align production with market demand," a Chrysler spokesperson told AN. Chrysler also builds the closely related Routan minivan for Volkswagen at its Ontario facility, but has not built a single example thus far in 2013.
Sales of Chrysler's minivans fell 15 percent for the first two months of 2013, and a large part of that has to do with the 26-percent drop of the Grand Caravan alone (the T&C was only down by one percent). According to Automotive News data, as of March 1, Chrysler had an unsold inventory of 24,713 Town and Country models and 18,547 Grand Caravans - a 69- and 43-day supply, respectively.
"No sense running full speed now, then have a lot of vehicles sitting around a few months down the line," Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson told AN. Full production is expected to resume again on March 18.

Chrysler killing off the 200 Convertible, Dodge Avenger

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

When Chrysler rolled out the first-generation 200 to replace the Sebring range in 2010, it included replacements for both the sedan and the convertible. The Sebring Coupe, however, was left out of the mix. And now that the second-generation Chrysler 200 is descending upon us, Auburn Hills is paring things down even further. But this time, it's the convertible that reportedly isn't making the cut. Shame, too, since the rendering above shows what could have been quite an attractive droptop.
As our compatriots at Edmunds point out, sales of the convertible model accounted for less than five percent of overall Chrysler 200 sales, and at those numbers, the considerable cost of engineering a new drop-top couldn't be justified. With the Toyota Camry Solara and Volkswagen Eos also gone from the market (well, the VW isn't gone quite yet), the discontinuation of the Chrysler 200 Convertible leaves the affordable convertible segment largely to the sportier likes of the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro and smaller European offerings like the Mini Cooper and VW Beetle.
The Chrysler 200 Convertible isn't the only derivative being left behind with the new model: so too is the Dodge Avenger. That will leave a glaring hole in the Dodge lineup, with nothing to bridge the gap between the compact Dart and the larger Charger. Whether the Dodge brand has any plans to replace the Avenger with another model, not to be based on the 200, remains to be seen.

Mopar maneuvers into SEMA with a multitude of modified models

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

As the aftermarket and performance arm of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Mopar has a duty to extract everything from the company's models that it can, and there's no better place to show all of its work off than the annual SEMA Show.
Dodge really gets in on the act this year with several customs to show off different parts of the brand's performance heritage. Perhaps the most interesting among them is the track-prepped Viper ACR Concept (pictured above). It wears a custom body kit to produce even more downforce, thanks in no small part to a monstrous wing at the back. To shed weight, most of the interior is stripped out, as well. Next up, the Challenger T/A Concept takes inspiration from '70s Trans-Am racing in a livery of Sublime Green and matte black paint. The center scoop in the hood keeps the 6.4-liter V8 fed with cool air, and the special's 20-by-9.5-inch matte black wheels keep it planted in the corners.
Also getting the once-over from Mopar is the Charger R/T. It wears the division's body kit, and under the hood, a cold-air intake keeps the 5.7-liter V8 breathing. The suspension is retooled to hold the road better with a coil-over kit, upgraded sway bars and strut tower braces for the front and rear. The company is also showing off a snazzy blue Charger with a mean look. The final Dodge getting work from Mopar is the Dart R/T Concept with bright, O-So-Orange paint and a matte black hood with a scoop hooked directly to the air intake. The performance-oriented design is finished off with a coil-over suspension and big brake kit, as well.
