2001 Viper GTS with 30,000 miles.   This is a very nice looking sexy exotic car.  The wheels, body and interior are in very nice conditon.  Everybody who sits in it says the same thing (the interior looks new) and it does.  The body is clean and shiny with no dents, or stars, very clean and nice.  Wheels are clean and not full of curb marks.  Front tires are new, rear have about 10,000 left in them.  Engine is clean and tight.  Oil pressure cold is 60+ at idle, hot is 40+ at idle.  Oil pressure hot at 1500 RPM is 50+ lbs.  The engine is in great condition.  The car has Borla three inch exhaust.  Air conditioning is very good,  At over 110 degrees here it always keeps the car cold.  The car never over heats even in 115 degrees when idling.  Clutch is very firm and in great shape.  It steers and tracks like a dream.  It is nice riding for a Viper.  Electric windows work well and has moderate tint on back and side windows.  Brakes are awsome.  All gauges work perfect.  Everything in the is good.  The front end hit a guard rail and the front facia was replaced.  All paint and body work looks great.  It draws people where ever you go.  Because this car is considered a rebuilt title, I am making someone a very good deal.  Nice Viper for a very good price.  If you always wanted a Viper, now is the time.  You could drive it a year and them sell it for what you bought it for.  Do it.  (Also, I am taking best offers).  If you have questions, call me at 623-355-9348 or email me through ebay.

Note:  For fun I put it on a dyno (6-26-14).  It produced 471 HP altitude factored.  The car was rich at full throttle and the tuner said for $350 he could tune it and get at least 30 HP for around 500 at the crank.  So if 470 isn't enough, there are 30 more for $350.

Dodge gives 2015 Viper slight power increase, new GT model

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

With its troubling sales figures, the newly rechristened SRT Dodge Viper needs to come out swinging for 2015. To do that, Dodge has made a number of tweaks and changes that will hopefully carry the V10-powered sports car into more successful days.
First up for 2015 is a new GT model, which aims to marry the reasonable price of the base car with the adjustable suspension and trick stability control program of the GTS model. The GT also sports a cabin that's covered in Alcantara suede and Nappa leather as standard.
Also new for 2015 is the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition, which expands on last year's Viper TA by adding new aerodynamic bits and bobs, including a larger rear wing, which ups downforce at 150 miles per hour from 278 pounds to 400 pounds.

2015 Dodge Charger darts into NY traffic

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Meet the refreshed 2015 Dodge Charger; notice anything different? You would have to be pretty farsighted to miss the sedan's new Dart-like nose, and it's likely going to be quite polarizing to the car's fans. Gone are the previous furrowed, aggressive headlights in favor of a wider, friendlier look.
While the more rounded headlights and narrower grille are going to be the first thing most people notice, Dodge claims its designers have made changes to nearly every panel on the Charger. The hood dips down deeper at the front, and the doors show off a more angled version of the car's shoulder blister. LED running lights and taillights are standard on all models, and SXT and RT trims get LED foglights. Even though the front might not be as intimidating, Dodge has hung onto the sedan's muscular stance with angular contours making up the rest of the redesign.
Under the hood is the same engine range you've come to know over recent years. Both the 5.7-liter V8 and the 3.6-liter V6 return for 2015, with the Hemi making 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque, and the standard Pentestar outputting 292 hp and 260 lb-ft. All models are now equipped with Chrysler's TorqueFlight eight-speed automatic as standard. Fuel economy for V8 Chargers is predicted at 16 miles per gallon city and 25 mpg highway, compared to 15 mpg / 25 mpg last year with a five-speed automatic. All models also come with electric power steering, and the axles are cast from aluminum to save weight.

Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.
