1975 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4. This car was part of my late Father's small Classic Car Collection. He bought it in 1999 and had the motor rebuild, then maybe put 1000 miles on it before he passed. This car basically sat in the garage for the last 11 years before I decided to breath life back into it about a year and half ago. I just put fresh new timing belts and tensioners on last week along with syncing the 4 Weber carb's! 2 weeks ago I put new spark plugs! Last month I put a new rack and pinion in! Last year I put a new cap, rotor, MSD wires and MSD coil. New K&N air filter and oil filter. New rebuild water pump, thermostat, fresh coolant, all new heater hose and all new water line couplings with HP silicone hose. New tires and brake pads. New Pioneer am fm cd stereo with Iphone Ipod hook up along with 2 new speakers. All new light bulbs and headlights and upgraded to HID lighting! I also upgraded the cooling fans with modern more efficient Spal HP fans. The original engine block is punched out to 3.2 liters with a Ferrari 328 crank and 1mm over JE forged pistons. The engine does not leak, has 85LBS of oil pressure at start up, runs at 195 degrees all day long and runs excellent! This built engine has more power than any other stock 308 out there. At least that's what every Ferrari owner who has ridden in it tells me. The JE forged racing pistons make a bit of noise at start up but fades when it reaches operating temp. The powerful engine runs smooth strong and sings the sweetest song as it climbs the RPM range. You will not be disappointed, especially if you have test driven another 308 GT4. As you can see in the pics the rear qtr panels have been flared in steel and looks fantastic! No other GT4 in the world looks like it. 16X10 HRE wheels fill the wells in the rear and 16X8 in front. The body is in great shape never been in an accident. But, it does have 3 small spots of cancer down by 3 of the wheel well openings. My Dad had the front half of the car painted do to some damage to the hood and has since faded a shade off. The paint job still shines well, but does show signs of age and ware such as chips, scratch's, cracks and. Interior is in great shape with no rips, tears, or water damage. Seats are Recaro. The Odometer has not worked since we owned it. Actual mileage is unknown? I estimate I have put a total of 5000 miles on the engine and chassis since 1999. The Speedometer does work however! A/C pump is missing so ac is not working. This car is great to get in to the Ferrari seen on a budget or to run around in until your ready to do a paint job. The car is a blast to drive and gets tons of attention! My reserve is set very modest! You will not get into a Ferrari any cheaper than this! Winning bidder will also get a few extra parts for the car. I have the original front seats and a small box of odds and ends

I would prefer that all serious buyers call with any questions as I would like to make this sale a little more personal 714-333-7236. The car means a lot to me and I would like to see it go to a good home. Title is clean and in my name and registration is current. I have to ask that any bidder with less than 3 feedbacks contact me first before bidding. Payment will be a 500.00 paypal payment within 24 hours of auctions end and the balance in the form of Cashier's Check from your bank or Cash. If you can't meet these terms I ask you not to bid. Thanks and good luck!

It looks like I forgot to set a reserve! Oops. I guess this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION! Bid to own, you won't be disappointed!  Good luck Ferrari Fans!

This a U.S. version series 1 car build in Jun of 1975 serial # 11058. The serial # is high up there and this car may quite be thee last series 1 car ever build!

Race Recap: 2013 Malaysian Grand Prix is a fool in the rain

Mon, 25 Mar 2013

Humidity, hunger and heartbreak were the takeaways from the Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix. A proper track with a wider variety of straights and corners than the street circuit in Australia, the second race of the season was expected to be a better test of the performance of the 11 teams on the grid. It was also supposed to be a more accurate test of the Pirelli tires, the bits of rubber at the four corners of the car still at the top of the performance agenda for all the top teams except for McLaren, which even larger issues with its new car to deal with.
Then it rained. Then it rained some more. Then it rained so hard just before the race that numerous drivers slid off the track on the parade lap. Then came the race, and then came the figurative tears and ones of the crocodile variety as well.

Race Recap: Brazil ends the 2013 F1 season with whimpers, bangs [spoilers]

Mon, 25 Nov 2013

When the grid lined up at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in Brazil there were just 71 laps, almost 306 kilometers, until the end of the 2013 season. Sometimes the circuit in Interlagos is deciding a Championship winner or showcasing new talent, and sometimes it's merely deciding a winner. This year was the latter.
2013 World Champion Sebastian Vettel in the first Infiniti Red Bull Racing lined up in front of Nico Rosberg in the first Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Fernando Alonso in the first Ferrari, Mark Webber in the second Red Bull and his final Formula One race, Lewis Hamilton in the second Mercedes, Romain Grosjean in the Lotus, Daniel Ricciardo in the first Toro Rosso and his final race for the team before moving to Red Bull, his teammate Jean-Éric Vergne, Felipe Massa in the second Ferrari and Nico Hülkenberg in the Sauber.
There were numerous theories about what surprises might occur, with race day being the first dry running of the weekend and rain predicted to fall at some point during the running. The first surprise came when the lights went out and Vettel, the consummate starter, got beat to the first corner.

Ferrari reopens wind tunnel after 18-month refurb

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Ferrari is not a company used to being behind the curve, but if you've been wondering how the Scuderia has lost so much territory on the Formula One circuit to a relative newcomer like Red Bull, part of the answer could come down to its wind tunnel.
Seriously, the wind tunnel? Yes, the wind tunnel. Aerodynamics play an increasingly vital role in F1 racing, and while Red Bull has one of the best in the business, Ferrari's hasn't been running right for some time now.
A year and a half ago Ferrari shut down the galleria del vento at its headquarters in Maranello, citing problems with "correlation" - that is, a major discrepancy between the results it got in the wind tunnel, in CFD computations and on the racetrack. Having narrowed the problem down, the Scuderia embarked upon a major overhaul. It's been using Toyota's facility in Cologne, Germany, in the meantime, but as team principal Stefano Domenicali put it, not having your own wind tunnel on premises "is like playing basketball with one hand behind your back." Now the renovations reportedly complete, however, and Ferrari will begin using its wind tunnel again next month.
