1977 Ferrari 308 Gtb on 2040-cars

Year:1977 Mileage:64938
Location:

Lake Bluff, Illinois, United States

Lake Bluff, Illinois, United States

Up for sale is a very rare Ferrari 308 gtb Koenig. I have recently had the car tuned up. I also replaced the water pump and fuel pump (plus a ton of other things). The car is running great. The Koenig kit on these cars is very rare and collectable. It offers the opportunity for larger tires and improved aerodynamics. I did not bother with the stereo. I wanted to use it for racing. The problem is when I bought it I was tall now I am also fat. This is not the best combination for a car like this.

This is a carbureted engine. It is mostly fiberglass due to the Koenig modifications. This is a very unique car. I have maybe seen 3 pictures of Koenig’s in my lifetime.

Known problems:

A few nicks and scrapes.

Radio not hooked up. (The entire system is there)

There is a surface dent.

Car repainted.

One of the tires does not match.

Car is designed for long track racing.

Possibilities:

Get a matching tire and race it.

Get the stereo hooked up and you have a great day today car.

Location:

The car is located north of Chicago Illinois. It has obviously never been in the snow. I can arrange for shipping anywhere in the world.

Ferrari Driver Academy heads to Florida for the winter

Sat, 30 Nov 2013

Retirees and Girls Gone Wild camera crews aren't the only ones who go to Florida for the winter. So is a contingent of aspiring formula racing drivers taking part in the new Florida Winter Series being set up by the Ferrari Driver Academy.
The program is being set up in response to a lack of suitable weather at circuits in Europe, which would otherwise keep rising stars in formula racing from honing their skills during the off-season. Toyota runs an off-season series in New Zealand, but Ferrari is heading to the most southern of these United States to give its prodigies some much-needed track time.
Set up as more of a training program than a competitive championship, the FDA Florida Winter Series is based around a field of 15 aspiring drivers piloting the Formula Abarth-spec Tatuus FA010B, with a 195-horsepower engine furnished by Fiat Powertrain Technologies and an engineer for every three cars in the series.

Fiat Dino does a sexy Ferrari impression

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

In the modern industry, there's a clear distinction between Ferrari and its parent company, Fiat. Confusing the two is virtually impossible, although that wasn't always so. In the 1960s, the line between Fiat and Ferrari was still there, but it wasn't nearly so well defined, thanks to the addition of the Dino line.
And while we could essentially write a dissertation on Ferrari, Dino and Fiat, let's just say that it wasn't at all difficult to find a Dino-badged car that could still set your hair on fire. One such car from those halcyon days of Italian automotive production is the 1968 Fiat Dino Spyder, shown in the latest video from Petrolicious.
Now, this isn't the exotic, mid-engined Dino. Rather, this is a sporty, but humble, Fiat-badged convertible, that's a bit lesser known. Still, it's a truly gorgeous car, and this example, owned by Danny Soukup, is a prime specimen of that rare 1960s Italian car. Scroll down for the latest video from Petrolicious.

Pininfarina Sergio gets its glass on for production [UPDATE]

Thu, 04 Sep 2014

UPDATE: We've received confirmation from Ferrari on certain details of the Sergio's production, and have updated the text below accordingly.
It's been nearly a year and a half since Pininfarina unveiled the Sergio at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and now Ferrari is putting it into production - albeit with a few modifications.
