1990 Ferrari 348 Ts Targa Red/tan -- No Reserve on 2040-cars

Year:1990 Mileage:43100 Color:
Location:

1990 Ferrari 348TS TARGA Red/Tan

Item Condition: Good condition although needs engine and transmission

This auction is for my complete 1990 Ferrari 348 TS minus the engine and transmission.  This car can be used as a project car or for parts.  I have owned the car for over four years and the mileage displayed is 43K.

Chassis/Suspension:  Chassis #ZFFFG36A6L0087125.  It brakes and steers good.  The car is equipped with relatively new WP Ferrari Challenge shocks and springs.

Exterior:  The body is straight and the exterior red paint is in above average condition which still shines nice.  No known accidents or body repairs.  It has OEM glass with no rock chips.  The Targa top also seals well.

Interior:  The carpets are in good condition.  The tan leather seats have the usual wear and scuff marks.  This car is also fitted with 355 door panels that are in good condition other than scuff marks.  It has non-OEM window switches.  Passenger side electronic shoulder belt mechanism doesn’t move.

Powertrain:  The engine, engine harness/electronics, transmission and clutch were professionally removed and are missing.  I have sourced a reasonably priced transmission and clutch that is in excellent condition.  The car does have the rear drive axles and wheel hubs, as well as the OEM muffler with exhaust tips.

Electrical:  There is no engine harness/electronics included with this vehicle.  The chassis harness is included and the headlight and tail lights work as does the windshield wipers, and power windows.

Missing Items:  Engine, engine harness/electronics, transmission, clutch, rear plastic inner wheel wells, front trunk carpet insert, HVAC climate control display unit, rear center brake light, side Pininfarina emblems, and one wheel lug bolt.  There may be one or two other smaller items missing, although I’m not sure what they would be.

I have done my best to describe the car and any item that is missing.  There is no warranty expressed or implied with the car.   The car is sold as is and is available for local inspection.  In line with normal ebay practices, please ask all questions and complete all inspections prior to the auction ending.  Highest bidder must complete sale.  If you don’t agree to these terms please don’t bid on my car.

Bidders with less than 12 feed backs must contact me prior to bidding or their bids will be cancelled.  A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours after the end of a successful listing.

Pranked angry Ferrari owner says urine trouble now, man!

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

A good rule to live by is that you should never mess with another man's car, but Roman Atwood learned that you probably shouldn't even pretend with another man's ride... especially when it's a Ferrari 360 Modena. The internet prankster was trying to perform a little handicap parking spot justice by acting as if he were urinating on an Italian supercar that he felt was illegally parked.
Needless to say, the owner of the car was not amused by Atwood's antics, proceeding to shove him, shout obscenities and even yell, "I could buy your whole family." Both men seem like real class acts. Check out the prank-gone-wrong below.

Berger and Vettel swap F1 cars old and new at the Red Bull Ring

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

This weekend the Formula One circus heads to Spielberg. No, not the Hollywood director, but the town in Austria that's home to the Österreichring. Subsequently known as the A1-Ring, these days it's called the Red Bull Ring, which makes this weekend's revived Austrian Grand Prix something of a home race for the defending champion Red Bull Racing team. But long before that it was the home race of the sixteen F1 drivers that call Austria their home - not the least of them Gerhard Berger.
The only Austrian driver to have won a grand prix (ten of them, all told) but not a championship, Berger was a fixture of F1 racing in the 1980s and 90s, spending much of his career driving for Ferrari. He later ran Scuderia Toro Rosso for three seasons, during which time Sebastian Vettel won his first (and still the team's only) grand prix. So with the Austrian Grand Prix back on the calendar for this weekend, the two highly accomplished drivers headed to the Red Bull Ring for a little juxtaposition.
Gerhard rolled in with the Ferrari F1/87-88C in which he won the 1988 Italian Grand Prix at Monza (which was, incidentally, the same race that Vettel won for STR twenty years later under Ferrari power), and Seb in his championship-winning RB8. Then they switched off, giving the four-time world champion his first chance to drive a grand prix racer with three pedals. If you can't believe that, it's also (as far as we can tell) the first time, despite years of neck-and-neck competition and retention of some of the best drivers on the grid, that a Red Bull or Toro Rosso driver has driven a Ferrari F1 car, and vice versa. See how it went down in the video below.

Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
