The Auto Check show no accidents and the condition report backs that up and with no visible signs of any damamge. It show what would be normal road chips from driving on the front, but has be touched up. The only thing I can see that had had paint work is the small front spoiled shows to be repaired and refinished in June of 1997 and refinished again in Sept. 1999. The clock works, but doesn't keep proper time. This is the only know things about this car I know as far as normal wear and tear."

I am offering for sale an immaculate 1993 Ferrari 348TB Series Speciale, number 42 of 100.  I honestly looked for over two years for a 348 before finding this SS. The vehicle is red with black interior. The Series Speciale has the front spoiler, the redesigned front grill with the chrome prancing horse, and the Testarossa like slats covering the tail lights were removed from this veicle. This vehicle has the leather covered Kevlar sports seat. Some came with the standard seats if the customer specified that. Pirelli P-Zero tires came on this model from the factory, and the tires have been replaced with the same Pirelli P-Zero type tires. The rear track on the SS was widened by 50mm. The SS had a new free flow exhaust system which was quoted to increase the factory HP rating from 300 to 312. The owner of the vehicle in March of 1998 had a factory challenge exhaust put on the SS and had the shocks revalved and the fabrication of upper spring perches/damper modification performed. This was done at Lake Forest Sportscars, LTD, a Ferrari dealer. I have the ticket on this and it was $4,357.41. This is the only modifications on the SS. I have all records from the time the SS was new. The SS runs and drives perfect. The last belt change shows Sept. 2002 at 21,801 miles. So by Ferrari standards, is due a belt change. That is why the SS is started out at $32,000.00, so the price would still be lower than the SS is worth when the service is done. From my research, it is a $3500.00 to $4000.00 service. The SS was evaluated in March of 2008 prior to me purchasing it. It is an excellent evaluation and was done at 24,913 miles. It is a very thorough and complete inspection from all aspects. I can provide copies of the service history and the evaluation SS if you are an interested buyer. The SS had 24,012 on the speedometer when I purchased it. It now has 26,709. I am only selling it because I always concerned about something happening to it while I have it out. It being so rare, it is common sense that the value and greatness of the car would deminish if it ever got into some sort of adverse event. So I am going to move up to a Ferrari that  I can drive and enjoy.  Now I did forget to take pictures of the hood compartment open. I does have the tool kit and is immculate under the hood. I will make pictures if you are an intersted buyer. I have all the owners manuals and two factory keys. I have a few more pictures I can send if you are interested in purchasing. Also I have a front copy of the Ohio title dated 06-04-2007 at which time the SS was purchased for $60,100. I have made every effort to present informationthat is accurate. However it is info provided by the VIN decoding or other sources and should be only used as a guide and vehicle is so, as is with no warranty provided by me. It will be up to the buyer to inspect the vehicle before purchasing. I can provide a full Auto Check showing no accidents reported. This listing is also a legal and binding contract and should be taken as such if you bid. So if you bid, be financially able to purchase this vehicle. If interested, you may contact me through my email and leave a number and I will call back ASAP. GoTnVols@gmail.com  And my name is Mike. Thanks for looking!

Ferrari releases teaser video for 458 Speciale

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

As is the specs weren't enough, Ferrari is helping us get ready for the reveal of the 458 Speciale at the Frankfurt Motor Show with a short teaser video. You won't get much in the way of a full-body modeling session, naturally, but there are plenty of close-ups of its intakes, scoops, vanes, seriously racy bucket seats and lots and lots of carbon fiber.
And showing how omnipresent on-camera surveillance can sometimes be a good thing, the harder 458 has already been caught being tinkered with in digital photos taken at Maranello. For the moving pictures, however, there's that video below.

LaFerrari XX prototype pushed so hard that its suspension fails

Sun, 13 Jul 2014

Ferrari has a real challenge on its hands. It made the new LaFerrari hybrid hypercar so extreme already that it left little room to crank it up to 11 and turn it into an XX development prototype like it did with the Enzo and the 599 before it. So it's really going to have to push the envelop to take it that extra step.
That's what it has apparently set out to do with this LaFerrari prototype at Monza, where the Prancing Horse marque was spotted preparing the upcoming LaFerrari XX. In fact, testers ran the prototype so hard that they broke the car's right rear suspension. Which is bound to happen, we guess, when you try to find that extra bit of performance in a vehicle that's already one of the most capable ever devised, but only goes to show how much deeper Ferrari will have to dig to find that even sharper edge.
Either that or Ferrari's working on some sort of four-wheel steering system with automatic camber adjustment... See for yourself in the video below.

James Glickenhaus teases sleek SCG 003 supercar

Thu, 19 Dec 2013

He may not have known it at the time, but James Glickenhaus started a small revolution when he commissioned Pininfarina to turn his Ferrari Enzo into a tribute to the legendary 330 P3/4. The P4/5 is what resulted, and Ferrari gave its blessing for it to wear the Prancing Horse emblem - something it hadn't done for a coachbuilt custom in decades. A slew of rebodied Ferraris followed, prompting the factory to launch its own coachbuilding division. But Jim wasn't out of the picture.
The former Hollywood filmmaker and investment banker followed up with the P4/5 Competition based on the 430 Scuderia, and started Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus to race it. Now SCG is returning with a new project, and has released this teaser video (which you can view in the embedded Facebook post below) to keep us on our toes.
From the few glimpses the video provides of a rendering, it's hard to tell much, but from what we can see, it looks pretty slick. Just what sort of technical details will form the underpinnings remains to be seen, but we're looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
