If you have any questions feel free to email me at: hollishansard@juno.com . Ferrari F355 Spider, 1996, original owner, 7001 miles.
I have either owned or driven many more contemporary 8 cylinder Ferraris, the F355 is still the purest
of the breed. It’s the last of the cars that was designed around the engine, the way Enzo intended rather than
around the driver (and no, it won’t carry a golf bag). The engine of the F355 is by far the best sounding of the
8 cylinder cars. With its lower displacement, high revving engine, it’s the one that has that primal shriek most
reminiscent of a Formula 1 car of its era.
This car is a manual 6-speed version. “Classic” Ferraris should not have paddle shifters, they have a slotted
aluminum shift gate that clanks when you change gears. That sound is half of the fun of driving a Ferrari. The
leather is as clean, supple and new smelling as it was the day it left the dealership. Every time I get into this
car I still get that “it’s my first drive” feel, most of that due to the familiar aroma in the cockpit. The
nose has a few small chips in the gel coat, otherwise the paint is flawless. All books, manuals, tools and
purchase papers are included in the sale.
This is a low mileage example, but the car has never been a trailer queen or garage fixture. It gets out 1-2 times
per month, at least around the neighborhood weather permitting, and for other events when they are appropriate.
Recent maintenance includes the 15k major belt service less than 500 miles ago. The Ron Tonkin Service department
in Portland Oregon (America’s oldest Ferrari dealer) mentioned that this was the nicest 355 they could remember
having serviced on. Except for the occasional warning light, this car has performed flawlessly and has been
essentially trouble free.

How this Ferrari 250 GTE became Rome's most famous police car

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

We're used to seeing fancy cars gifted to or bought by certain international police forces today, but the story of this 1962 Ferrari 250 GTE goes well beyond a gift. Because Rome's anti-organized-crime unit, Squadra Mobile, was doing a terrific job in the early '60s, the Italian president asked what they wanted as a token of appreciation. The answer, meant as a joke, was "A Ferrari." The president, in all seriousness, got them two.
One was almost immediately destroyed during testing, the other remains in the care of Alberto Capelli today, whose father began attending military and government auctions just after World War II. Petrolicious visited Capelli to hear the 51-year-old tale of the most precious cop car you're going to see for a while, and it involves outlaws, a French gangster in a Citroën, a policeman who was offered a spot on the Ferrari factory team by Enzo himself, and more. It's a fantastic yarn, and you can watch the whole story below.

Ferrari makes its return to Need For Speed: Rivals in a big way

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

With all the excitement over Forza Motorsport 5 and Gran Turismo 6, it's easy to forget that there's another racing game from an even older franchise coming out. The latest Need For Speed installment, Rivals, is set to hit stores November 15 (this Friday) for the Playstation 4, November 19 for PS3 and XBox 360, and November 22 for the XBox One. As part of the run up to the launch, we have a great look at all the new Ferrari content for the new title, which marks only the second time the Italian marque has been in an NFS game.
The last time we saw a prancing horse in Need For Speed was 2009's Shift, when we got ten models as part of a paid, downloadable pack. In anticipation of Ferrari's return to the series, we've got a gallery of images of some of the featured models, like the F12 Berlinetta (which we've shown you before), the FF, the Enzo, the 599 GTO and both the 458 Italia and Spider. All of which are bound to make for phenomenal tools for escaping the virtual cops.
We'll have a more extensive look at Need For Speed: Rivals in the near future, but until then, have a look at the game's Ferrari content up top.

Former Dolphin Richie Incognito takes a bat to his own Ferrari [w/video]

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

Richie Incognito, the former Miami Dolphin's offensive lineman, reportedly vandalized his own new Ferrari FF with a baseball bat on Wednesday, in a story that is just the latest bizarre event to befall the professional football player.
Initial reports indicated that Incognito's car was vandalized and, weirdly, covered in t-shirts bearing the player's name. Following those reports, though, Incognito then told police that he attacked the black FF, although we're still unsure as of why.
Incognito has been in the news of late, following reports from the Miami Dolphins regarding his hazing of teammate Jonathan Martin. As for the Ferrari, damage seems rather light considering it was attacked with a bat by a 320-pound NFL offensive lineman. There are some dings and dents in the hood, and there's a piece of bat lodged in the grille, but beyond that, it looks like this FF will live to drive another day. Scroll below to watch a brief video report on the supercar beatdown.
