Rosso Corsa with tan interior, custom mats.  Car is in excellent condition a runs great. 39,500 miles. I purchased it in September of 2010 with 34,033 miles.  Has some wear on the driver seat bolster which is common.  No sticky parts.  E brake handle is the only part that was not redone.  Carfax shows two accidents. I am the fifth owner.  One was a minor rear impact involved with a parked car.  Other accident was not on the report when I bought the car. I ran another Carfax on it when I was thinking of selling it last year and noticed there was a second accident on it from 2005. It was reported to Carfax on 7/17/12!  Definitely cannot rely on Carfax for accurate information.  No details about it so I'm assuming it had to have been minor and there is no evidence of an impact anywhere.  PPI showed no evidence of an impact other than rear bumper.  I had it repaired and repainted correctly and now it is perfect. I have a copy of the Carfax dated 10.13/12 that I can fax if needed.  I also had the front bumper and side skirts redone as well.  Front bumper had some scratches underneath which is another common thing with these cars due to the clearance being so low.  I also had skid plates installed.  Side skirts has some rock chips around wheel wells so I had those redone.  Overall the paint is in excellent shape.  There is a clear bra over the hood/fender area.  I installed expensive aftermarket "Yoshi" shields on the sides.  Michelin Pilot SS tires were installed @ 37,864 miles so they are like new.  Clutch was done @ 35,728 miles.  Throw out bearing was also replaced with a superior Hill Engineering part. CV boots, motor mounts and all new rear bushings where installed. Dash was recovered in original black leather.  New - F1/clutch sensor.  360 pump upgrade, Seat potentiometers, Tubi headers. Rebuilt rear shocks.  New battery. Alpine stereo with CD and iPod hook up. Billet aluminum passenger footrest and dead pedal. Annual service just completed.  I have shown the car in many shows and I took either 1st or 2nd place.  Trophies included in sale.  I have the complete toolkit with tire inflator and all manuals in the original leather pouch. I only have the red master fob and one key.  Last major was done in July 2010.  Ferrari recommends doing the major every three years which no one does.  Most people do their majors every four years and sometimes five.  If I were keeping it I would do the major next summer.  The convertible top is original and needs to be replaced.  There are two rips on either side of the top.  One about three inches and the other about two inches.  They have been stitched up as I was going to replace the top this year.  New tops can be purchased on eBay for $800.  Only other thing is the operation of the convertible top.  It goes down fine but when going up it needs a slight push right behind the driver seat so the fork engages the cam that pushes that side up.  Hard to explain but was never a big deal to me.  It just has to be realigned and I was going to do that when the top was being replaced.  There is a thread on Ferrari Chat explaining how to do this.  Recently had a shifting issue where car was going into neutral for reasons unknown.  Ferrari of Long Island said my TCU accumulator bottle had a leak and needed to be replaced.  I ordered a new 360 bottle and retrofit kit (an OEM 355 accumulator bottle is not available from Ferrari).  It was installed and of course didn't solve the issue.  I wasn't at all happy as you can imagine so I got Ferrari North America involved.  They then found the culprit was the intermittent trunk switch failed and needed to be replaced. This lets the ECU know that the trunk is secured correctly.  A relatively cheap fix that was overlooked.  All is perfect now.
I put in over $20k in upgrades/repairs with receipts to back it up.  I also have service records from 9500 miles
I love this car and it pains me to sell it. There is simply no sound like that of a Ferrari and especially the 355.  Lots of TLC put into it.  I just feel it's time to move on to a newer model like a 360 or an F430.  I am being as honest as possible here and if there is anything I missed or if there are any questions, please feel free to ask.  I feel the price is very fair for the work performed and what it needs.

On Aug-02-13 at 16:30:08 PDT, seller added the following information:

Forgot to add that I also had good used, low mileage radiators put in with all new SRI silicone radiator hoses installed at 38,490 miles.

Race Recap: For the 2013 Monaco Grand Prix, NASCAR comes to the principality

Tue, 28 May 2013

Lots of contact, debris cautions, trips into the wall, full-course yellows and a red flag - these are the kinds of racing terms you unbox when you want to have a conversation about NASCAR... or the Formula One grand prix of Monaco. In this case we're not talking about the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte, we're talking about 78 laps in the South of France that even featured a fallen camera cable just like that stock-car race.
This year, Mercedes-AMG Petronas drivers treated their chassis' like busses instead of F1 cars, Romain Grosjean treated his Lotus like a battering ram, Sergio Perez kept sticking his McLaren's nose in places and eventually got it smacked, and maybe the size of the drivers' mirrors should be changed instead of the tires as there were almost as many firsts as there were crashes. Plenty of F1 fans wish Monaco were removed from the calendar, yet even though it doesn't specialize in traditional thrills, that doesn't mean nothing happens during the parade through - and into - the barriers.

Race Recap: 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans defines 'endurance'

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

Commenting on the rush of events that rocked beginning and end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Paul Truswell of Radio Le Mans said "the race is about the ability to endure, not just the ability of drivers to do what they do for a long time." The entire race machine, all the way down to the pit boards and radios, has to survive the stress and abuse of the entire day. This was the race to prove those words.
There were two Toyotas, two Porsches and three Audis, five of the seven led the race at some point, six of the seven ran in the top three. Toyota will be hugely disappointed that it didn't win when its car and drivers were so, so strong, but they gave Audi the kind of scare we haven't seen since the best of Peugeot's days, and Toyota did a better job of it even in the loss. Porsche blew away everyone's expectations, falling 3.5 hours short of a fairy tale ending that would have made Disney cry.
But Le Mans doesn't really do fairy tales. Well, not that fairy tale. Audi's Twitter handle during the event was #welcomechallenges. As usual, Le Mans answered for the entire field.

Montezemolo steps down, Marchionne steps up as chairman of Ferrari

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

If the history of an automaker is divided up by the mandate of its leadership, then this is surely the end of an era for Ferrari. After repeatedly locking horns with Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne over a variety of issues, longtime Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo has announced his resignation.
Montezemolo has a long history with both Fiat and Ferrari. He started his career at the former before moving over to the latter in 1973 (only a few years Fiat took over half of Ferrari), starting out as Enzo Ferrari's assistant. He was appointed head of the Scuderia the following year, driving the team to success and subsequently taking over all of the Fiat group's racing activities. After the Prancing Horse marque struggled in the wake of its founder's death in 1988, Montezemolo was appointed to take it over in '91 and has been at the helm ever since.
Following Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli's passing in 2003, both Montezemolo and Marchionne were named to the Fiat board. A year later, after the passing of Gianni's younger brother Umberto, Montezemolo was named chairman of the Fiat Group (to be succeeded six years later by Agnelli heir John Elkann) and Marchionne its chief executive.
