This 458 Italia is absolutely amazing!! I am the SECOND owner. I purchased the vehicle in January 2013 from Ferrari of Seattle. The car was on consignment there and was sold from Ferrari of Seattle to the original owner. When I purchased the vehicle, it had just under 2000 miles. Since that time, I have put approximately 10,500 miles on it for a total of 12,500 miles. The car has had ZERO damage or paint repair work. It has been under warranty for its ENTIRE life. It is serviced several times per year at Boardwalk Ferrari of Dallas. It get the necessary fluid and other necessary services. I purchased the EXTENDED FULL FACTORY warranty on 03/15/2014 for approximately 12,000.00. This extended the COMPLETE FACTORY WARRANTY until March of 2016, so the owner still has nearly 1.5 years of complete warranty with NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. The only expense a new owner would need to worry about would be oil/fluid changes, tire changes and the car payment. Everything else is under warranty so you have to worry about ZERO expense until March of 2016. I also believe that the warranty is extendable at that time if the owner wants to purchase the warranty again. The car has been absolutely amazing for me. It has NEVER been on a race track, it is simply a weekend fun car for me. I am simply selling the car because I do not get the chance to drive it much anymore and it feels like a waste sitting in my garage. This is the 3rd Ferrari I have had it and it by far the best. It is an amazing turnkey vehicle that anyone would be very happy with! This car has not been worked on or serviced by ANYONE since it has been in my possession EXCEPT Boardwalk Ferrari of Dallas. It is also my understanding that the previous and original owner only had Ferrari of Seattle work on the car. It is a 100% great car in EVERY way. There are NO issues with the car. The paint is perfect, the interior is perfect. Everything is amazing AND the car is under FULL WARRANTY. This car is fare to find with all of these upgraded options AND under warranty. Vehicle comes with battery charger, car cover, both keys, all manuals, etc. Just like you bought it new, except at a much better price! Notable Factory Options: - Bianco Avus (white) exterior - Nero (black) interior - Carbon Fiber driving zone (paddle shifters, steering wheel, gauge cluster, center console) - Racing Carbon Fiber Seats (black with white stitching) - Factory upgraded JBL stereo system - Black painted roof - Front lifter system - Gunmetal Grey Sport Wheels - Tire Pressure Monitoring - Rear parking sensors - Satellite Radio, iPod & USB connections - Homelink - White Rev Counter Aftermarket Add-ons / Changes: - COMPLETE entire front end of vehicle clear bra - Electronically controlled exhaust valve switch (installed by Ferrari of Seattle) - Custom Escort 9500 ci (installed in Bellevue, WA by previous owner) - Red Brake Calipers (done by Ferrari of Seattle) - Smoked exterior side markers and tail lights (done by Ferrari of Seattle) - Painted 'eyebrows' white to match car (this is the piece over the window on both the driver and passenger windows, done by Ferrari of Seattle) - Painted 'wings' in front air dam white (done by Ferrari of Seattle) - Painted exhaust tips black to match rear of vehicle (done by Ferrari of Seattle) - Painted Ferrari emblem on rear of car black to match rear of vehicle (done by Ferrari of Seattle) - Black wrapped side trim (under the doors on both sides of the car) (done by Ferrari of Seattle) - Custom black floor mats with white trim and white Ferrari logo - Tinted front windows Tires are less than 6 months old and have 80% or more tread on them. Race Recap: Singapore Grand Prix is about a safety car and submission

Mon, 23 Sep 2013

The Singapore Formula One Grand Prix is the Monaco GP of the Orient - a weekend known more for its glamour and time-slot than on-track action, with a temporary circuit that punishes every mistake, usually terminally.
Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas got the best of Free Practice 1, opening the curtain on a possible resurgence of Silver Arrows performance. By the time qualifying was done, though, it was his teammate Nico Rosberg who lined up second on the grid, followed by Romain Grosjean with a beautiful performance in the Lotus, Mark Webber in the Infiniti Red Bull, and Hamilton all the way back in fifth. Behind them were Felipe Massa outqualifying Ferrari teammate Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button getting the McLaren into eighth, Daniel Ricciardo with another good Q3 effort to get into ninth, and the shocker of Esteban Gutiérrez getting his Sauber into the top ten for the first time this year.
At the front of the pack was Sebastian Vettel. Again. But he was only ahead of Rosberg by a single tenth of a second...

$11.55 million 1964 Ferrari 250 LM highlights RM Auctions' first night in Monterey

Sat, 16 Aug 2014

Some of the biggest auto auctions of the year are held during the weekend of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Millionaires gather in hopes of outbidding their contemporaries for incredibly rare cars. As Bonhams' record sale on Thursday of a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO for $38 million showed, these days the world's most expensive vehicles are found at auctions, often with a prancing horse on the nose.
RM Auctions' Friday sale reinforced this even more when a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM topped the evening by bringing in $11.55 million, after the 10 percent commission. It wasn't the only million-dollar vehicle of the event, though. A 1965 Ford GT40 Roadster Prototype garnered $6.93 million, and a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 brought $1.705 million. Even a classic 1948 Tucker 48 had a final price of $1.57 million.
Surprisingly, some rather new cars actually brought in quite big money, too. A 2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Vitesse Le Ciel Californien sold for $2.42 million, and a 2006 Ford GT with just 13 miles sold for $407,000.

LaFerrari gets shakedown from Fernando Alonso

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Fernando Alonso is quite cool behind the wheel, as evidenced by an earlier video where he gave a full interview while actively hooning a Ferrari F12 around the Nürburgring. So when you see the Spaniard somber-faced and sweating while hustling a Ferrari LaFerrari around the Scuderia's Fiorano test track, you know the new hypercar is pretty demanding.
Alonso doesn't give commentary on this one (except to the engineers at the end), but he does wrestle the 949-horsepower hybrid around the track. It does look like a handful. Take a look below for the full video.
