Fast440 is pleased to offer this Low Mileage 1987 Ferrari Testarossa. Owner lost interest several years ago and the car has been storage until just recently. Major service performed 2500 miles ago including Clutch replacement, and no records other than the service stubs stamped found in the Owner's Manual. Possible for the next owner to establish a Service History on the car by contacting these repair outfits. Books and Manuals and complete Tool Kits go with the car. Fuel system has been flushed, Fuel Filters replaced, and the Brake System flushed and serviced as well, and along with Coolant and Motor Oil. This is as far as we are willing to go with our limited Ferrari repair resources. Car stumbles at cold start, and seems to have full power at warm up. Oil Pressure is where is should be, and the car does not overheat. Ferrarichat.com mentions several probable issues that do not involve major engine internals. A/C needs serviced, and other minor and typical Testarrosa issues exist.

The Vehicle Exterior shows minor Hail damage and a couple of scrapes. $2200.00 and one Week to bring it back to excellent according to the Body Man I use for high end jobs. Interior looks great, add some fancy Floor Mats and you are done !

Quickly appreciating Super Car investment potential right here, and priced to move. If you know how to handle the improvement of one of these cars and you have the right resources, you have found the ideal o
pportunity.

Please call us immediately with any questions or concerns.

Thank you, Fast440.com/Brent.

1955 Belgian GP movie tells the story of Spa

Sun, 25 Aug 2013

With the Belgian Formula One Grand Prix happening this weekend, Shell reminded a few guests what the Spa-Francorchamps track and Belgian countryside were like in 1955. That year the petroleum company made a 30-minute movie about the grand prix - this is back when the track was called the Francorchamps National Circuit, near the town of Spa, and a list of its important corners didn't include a mention of Eau Rouge - where it was doing the same thing it still does today: working on fuels and lubricants via its technical partnership with Ferrari.
To create the mood, journalists were invited to a vintage cinema where they mingled with Ferrari F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa and other extras in period fifties gear, and watched a screening of 1955 Belgian Grand Prix. You can scroll down for a screening of your own, as well as the press release, minus the petits-fours and pinups.

Ferrari threatening to fine journalists $69,000 for breaking LaFerrari embargo?

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

In automotive journalism, we deal with embargoes on a regular basis. For the uninitiated, these are agreements between publications like Autoblog and manufacturers. While news embargoes (where pubs are provided with information and images and agree to hold until a predetermined date) are fairly common, today, we're focusing on drive embargoes. These are what we generally end up signing when we attend a vehicle launch. Generally, these are in the media's best interest. As drive programs are spread out over a week or two with multiple different "waves" of media, drive embargoes put the biggest and smallest publications on level footing when it comes to publishing reviews.
According to a report from Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe, Ferrari has taken its drive embargo for the LaFerrari hypercar a bit too far. See, initial reviews from the few publications that attended the drive event for the hybrid-powered monster can hit the newsstand or internet on April 30. Originally, syndicated stories - those sold by freelancers or publications to other outlets - couldn't be published until May 12. These syndicated reviews are big money for larger magazines and, in the case of freelance journalists, are a primary source of revenue. Inexplicably, though, Ferrari has pushed the syndication embargo back to May 26, which is bad news for everyone involved (aside from Ferrari).
This could have been nothing more than an annoyance. The stories would still get sold (although it might be for a bit less coin, considering the initial reviews will be nearly a month old) and you'll still be bombarded by reviews of the LaFerrari not once, but twice, just as Ferrari planned.

LaFerrari XX prototype pushed so hard that its suspension fails

Sun, 13 Jul 2014

Ferrari has a real challenge on its hands. It made the new LaFerrari hybrid hypercar so extreme already that it left little room to crank it up to 11 and turn it into an XX development prototype like it did with the Enzo and the 599 before it. So it's really going to have to push the envelop to take it that extra step.
That's what it has apparently set out to do with this LaFerrari prototype at Monza, where the Prancing Horse marque was spotted preparing the upcoming LaFerrari XX. In fact, testers ran the prototype so hard that they broke the car's right rear suspension. Which is bound to happen, we guess, when you try to find that extra bit of performance in a vehicle that's already one of the most capable ever devised, but only goes to show how much deeper Ferrari will have to dig to find that even sharper edge.
Either that or Ferrari's working on some sort of four-wheel steering system with automatic camber adjustment... See for yourself in the video below.
