2010 Ferrari California Just listed for your bidding pleasure is this absolutely perfect 2010 Ferrari California. In addition to the standard features this Ferrari comes with the 458 wheel package. Beautiful Nuovo Grigio Ingrid Metalic (Charcoal) exterior has been meticuously maintained. With only 12,734 miles, this California is in like new condition. Serious inquiries only please and good luck. 2010 Ferrari California Overview The Ferrari California is an all-new convertible grand tourer with a retractable hard-top. It represents several firsts for Ferrari: first front engined Ferrari with a V8, first to feature a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, first with a folding metal roof, first with multi-link rear suspension, and the first with direct injection. This Italian exotic is available as a 4-seat convertible with a power folding hard top. The standard 453-horsepower 4.3-liter V8 engine sends power through 7-speed dual clutch transmission with F1-style steering column-mounted shift paddles that allow for extremely quick gear changes. Brembo brakes featuring carbon-ceramic material discs are standard. Optional magnetic fluid-filled shock absorbers react instantly to road conditions and driver inputs. A switch on the steering wheel, called a manettino, integrates suspension, traction control, stability control and shifter systems and allows the driver to choose the optimum setting for current conditions. The standard CD/MP3/DVD stereo features a 30-gigabyte hard drive, navigaton system, and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. Options include carbon fiber interior trim, reverse camera, and front and rear parking sensors. The Ferrari California is all-new for 2010. PERFORMANCE: *4.3 Liter V8 *453 Horsepower *7750 Horsepower RPM *357 lb-ft Torque *5000 Torque RPM INTERIOR: *54" Front Shoulder Room *12.00 Cubic Feet Luggage Storage *Standard Seating for 4 FUEL: *20.6 Gallon Fuel Tank *13 MPG City/19 MPG Hwy Motor Trend Magazine Says: filled with firsts for Ferrari: the first front-engine V-8, the first use of direct injection, the first seven-speed transmission, the first true launch-control system, the first retractable hardtop, and the first stacked exhaust. But fear not, all these firsts have not changed the purity of Ferrari; they've just expanded its range. There have been front-engine sixes and 12s, but this is the first front-engine eight and with it Ferrari has managed to make the entry-level California a true supercar in every sense of the word. The direct injection helps improve mileage and decrease emissions but because the California is heavier than the F430 it shares its engine architecture with, the tuning is optimized to boost torque by 14 lb-ft at the expense of 29 horsepower, for a total of 454 hp and 357 lb-ft.The Getrag dual-clutch seven-speed automated manual gearbox is nothing short of absolute perfection, worlds better than the old single-clutch F1 automated manual found in most current Ferraris. The speed in which shifts are made has always been a bragging point for the Italians, and the nanoseconds have slowly diminished over the years to the point where they are now basically immeasurable. In addition, the neck-snapping caused by the old F1 gearbox is gone. All you're left with is a constant acceleration accompanied by a sweet-sounding bark between shifts.Other Ferraris have had "launch-control" systems, but those were nothing more than a way to quickly smoke away a few hundred dollars' worth of tire. The California has a true launch-control system. So how does it work? Turn the CST traction control off, foot on brake, launch button pressed, wait for the beep, and then mat the gas. When the revs hit around 3000 rpm, lift off the brake. All you need do now is just hang on and keep the car pointed straight. The California's new transmission, set up in launch mode, auto upshifts for you until you run out of gears. So what does she run? We got 3.5 seconds to 60, while the quarter mile ticked away in 11.9 seconds at 117.4 mph. That's damned impressive for a car weighing 3916 pounds with only 454 horsepower.

As is the specs weren't enough, Ferrari is helping us get ready for the reveal of the 458 Speciale at the Frankfurt Motor Show with a short teaser video. You won't get much in the way of a full-body modeling session, naturally, but there are plenty of close-ups of its intakes, scoops, vanes, seriously racy bucket seats and lots and lots of carbon fiber. And showing how omnipresent on-camera surveillance can sometimes be a good thing, the harder 458 has already been caught being tinkered with in digital photos taken at Maranello. For the moving pictures, however, there's that video below.

You've no doubt perused the big news coming out of Fiat-Chrysler's headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI today. But at the end of the brand discussions, Sergio Marchionne spoke briefly about an incredibly important, low-volume part of the Fiat-Chrysler empire: Ferrari. "You do need one of these cars in your driveway," Marchionne joked. And while other brand heads today lined out detailed plans for future product, Sergio's words about Ferrari's next five years were very simple, and very vague. Marchionne confirmed that Ferrari will launch a new car every year between now and 2018. The cars will have a four-year lifecycle, after which, "M" versions will be produced, with a separate four-year cadence. No specific models were mentioned during Marchionne's presentation.

Vmax200 in in England organizes events where those who care to show up with a supercar can run them down the two-mile runway at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground. Evo attended the latest event, bringing an impressively green Lamborghini Aventador to test its girth and gaping vents against other precious metals like the McLaren P1 and F1, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Enzo, a Porsche Carrera GT and enough 911 Turbos to start a dealership. Speaking of those Porsches, nine of the top ten slots in the top speed competition are claimed by modified 911 Turbos. A monochrome Swede ruled them all, though, a black-and-white Koenigsegg CCX setting fire to the speed trap run after run, hitting 211 miles per hour at its quickest. It was followed by, surprise, a 911 GT2 modified by 9E that did 210 mph. You can watch the EVO video below, GT Spirit has a bigger breakdown of the day, and we've included another vid showing the tandem launch of the CCX and McLaren F1.
