Im selling my 2012 Abarth 500.

I purchased this car from an insurance auction with very light damage to the front of the car. (before picture included).   I purchased all parts from the dealer and they were all bolt on replacement parts, there was no mechanical or structural damage.  It was only cosmetic damage as you see in the pictures.   I repaired the car and was ready to inspect it here in Georgia, but Georgia does not except a KENTUCKY SALVAGE TITLE.   Apparently not all states except Kentucky titles.  This is the reason for me selling this beautiful and unique car.   My dream was to have the car as my daily driver to work and a gas saver.  I have a lot invested in the car theres no point for me finishing the car if i cant keep it here in Georgia, so I decided to offer it for sale here..

The only thing left to do on the car is have it painted.  I have the couple parts that are to be put on the front bumper after the paint job is completed.  Professional paint job should be no more then $500-750.  The parts are really small to paint and the paint is easy to match up.  Depends on the shop they might even put the car back together for that amount.

I replaced Hood, bumper, both headlights, radiator support and radiator.  Driver airbag and dash panel airbag.  I had the airbags checked and reset at the local dealer.  The tip of the driver fender was bent and i had body filler put on it.  It needs to be sanded and finished i will have that complete before the end of auction.

Car has 1,018 miles on it, it drives very smooth and straight.

It should still have factory warranty on it but I didn't check.  selling as is and where is.   I can help with the shipping, I have my own trailer I can deliver it on.

I will be glad to answer any questions.  thanks.

Fiat to replace Punto with five-door 500

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

While American drivers may know Fiat principally (if not exclusively) for the 500, overseas the Italian marque offers a much broader range of products. But the Cinquecento has developed into a vastly more successful product than the rest of its lineup, so the Italian automaker has been rapidly replacing its slow-selling models by expanding the 500 family.
The original 500 hatchback has since been joined by the 500C convertible and larger 500L - not to mention the 500L Living seven-seater, 500e electric hatchback and numerous Abarth models. And soon, the Sedici is expected to be replaced by a new 500X. But that's not the end of it.
A new report from Auto Express indicates that Fiat is preparing to replace the slow-selling and rapidly aging Punto with a new five-door version of the 500. The model could adapt the current Punto's platform rather than stretching the 500's, but would carry the same retro styling as the rest of the Cinquecento range, slotting in between the three-door hatch and the larger 500L. Of course, the Punto was never offered Stateside, but as part of the 500 family, it figures to stand a better chance.

Marchionne to take his sweater and go home after 2018

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

The end is in sight for Fiat Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne, who confirmed in an interview with Bloomberg that once FCA's sweeping five-year plan is completed, he'd be stepping down from his post to "undoubtedly" do something else that didn't involve turning around global corporations. That would mean he should finish up after 2018 if all goes according to plan.
"It's as important to walk away from the table as it is to sit down," Marchionne told Bloomberg.
Marchionne has been at Fiat since June of 2004 and is one of the chief architects behind the Italian company's acquisition of Chrysler. Despite his successes, he does sound quite ready to move beyond the auto industry, rhetorically asking his Bloomberg interviewers if there "are other things I like to do apart from this?"

How Fiat explains its disastrous J.D. Power quality scores

Wed, 02 Jul 2014

Back in the '60s and '70s, Fiat didn't exactly have an enviable reputation for quality. Of course, lack of quality and a tarnished brand reputation eventually saw the Italian automaker flee the market, only to return with the 500 and the larger 500L in the last few years. However, if J.D. Power's Initial Quality Survey for 2014 is to be believed, modern Fiat products haven't improved quite as much as we might have hoped. Fiat thinks that there is a very simple explanation for its poor performance on the annual list, though.
J.D. Power's IQS looks at flaws among autos in the first 90 days that customers own their new vehicles. In 2014, Fiat wasn't only dead last, it was at the back of the pack by a significant margin. The company's cars tallied 206 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) compared to a national average of 116 PP100. Even Jeep, the survey's second-to-last finisher, had 146 PP100. Fiat's performance was pitiful.
However, it can all be explained, at least according to US Fiat boss, Jason Stoicevich, who spoke with Ward's Auto. He qualifies the results by stating that the survey came at a particularly bad time for the brand. It produced very few 2014 500 models to allow extra time to introduce the updated 2015 version. That meant that about 91 percent of its vehicles surveyed were examples of the 500L, "which is a new car where there are always quirks to work through," said Stoicevich to Ward's. With only one model providing data, it skewed the results. Of course, that's all well and good, but it suggests that the larger 500L is even more problematic than the overall brand's 206 problems per 100 vehicles.
