2003 Ford Thunderbird Convertible/hardtop-white-torch Red-black Conv & Interior on 2040-cars
Hockessin, Delaware, United States
SINCE MY WIFE AND I RECENTLY RETIRED WE MADE THE DECISION TO SELL THE T-BIRD. WE HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME PRACTICAL FOR LONG TRIPS AND NO LONGER SPORTY! AS YOU MAY TELL, I DON'T WANT TO SELL THE CAR. THE CAR AND COLOR COMBINATION HAVE A LOT OF EYE APPEAL AND WE CERTAINLY ENJOYED OWNING IT. WE ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS, PURCHASED 1/13/2004 FROM GARNET FORD IN CHADS FORD, PA. THE CAR WAS SERVICED BY SHERIDAN FORD AND HOCKESSIN GOODYEAR. THE "BIRD" HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND LAST YEAR WE HAD AN ISSUE WITH ONE OF THE COIL PACKS. INSTEAD OF THE SINGLE REPLACEMENT WE REPLACED ALL 8 AND RECENTLY HAD A NEW BATTERY INSTALLED. MILEAGE IS LOW, 46K AND A PORTABLE ROOF HARDTOP HOLDER IS INCLUDED ALONG WITH A BOOT. WE HOPE YOU WILL STOP OVER FOR INSPECTION AND A TEST DRIVE. WE ASK FOR A $500 DOWNPAYMENT AND FINAL PAYMENT BALANCE WITHIN A WEEK. YOU WILL LOVE THIS CAR!!!

Watch live as Mark Fields is officially named Ford's next CEO
Thu, 01 May 2014We've heard rumblings of a changing of the guard at Ford, and this live stream from The Blue Oval itself is set to confirm the rumors: Alan Mulally will be succeeded by the automaker's current Chief Operating Officer, Mark Fields.
Mulally, who is 68 years old, has served at the head of Ford for eight years, and his official retirement date will be July 1st, 2014. Fields, who is 53 this year, has been with Ford for 25 years and has been groomed to take the helm from Mulally for the last several of those years.
There's an official press release that you can read, but if you're more of a visual person, you're welcome to watch the live video feed of the announcement down below.
Ford Mustang GT350 seen and heard in motion for the first time
Fri, 27 Sep 2013We just recently saw our first spy shots of the next-gen hi-po Ford Mustang slated to replace the Shelby GT500, but now we're getting our first look - and listen - of prototypes captured on video. Mustang6g.com has the video (along with some different spy shots), which show that, if nothing else, SVT knows how to tune an exhaust system. The :50 mark is a good example of this, but fast-forward to around 2:00 where the driver revs the engine and really gets on the throttle hard taking off from a stop.
There's still no definitive evidence that the next-gen SVT Mustang - said to be called GT350 - will be naturally aspirated, but it sounds just as menacing as the current Shelby GT500. While the video posted below exhibits the sort of quality that is to be expected from someone driving while trying to film someone who is attempting to elude being filmed, it's still exciting to see and hear this new Mustang in motion.
2014 Roush Stage 3 Mustang
Fri, 26 Jul 2013Up until now, it's been some years since I managed to get behind the wheel of the hot Mustangs tuned by the folks at Roush Performance. My memories of those vehicles are fond, as the Roush up-fits usually make for better-driving examples of the iconic Ford pony, with better-tuned suspensions, excellent short-shift kits and, of course, huge additions of power. The wake-your-neighbors aural characteristics of these cars have been nothing short of outstanding, too.
But in the years since my last experience with the Roush formula, Ford's own development team has churned out some pretty potent 'Stangs. We currently live in a world where the Blue Oval will sell you a Mustang with 662 horsepower from the factory, and the recently departed Boss 302 remains one of the best Mustangs - and best sports coupes - the Autoblog crew has ever driven.
So with great-driving and hugely powerful Mustangs coming straight off the line at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant, does the Roush package still offer that extra special something to make it stand out? I spent a week with a Stage 3 coupe to find out.
