I am selling a 1967 Ford Bronco that I purchased 6 yrs ago with the purpose of restoring and no longer have the time for a project.  I got it from Florida and am pretty sure it was in Arizona before that, so it is a good start for a project or ready for backroad cruising as is.  It  has had the rear wheel wells cut for larger tires at some point.  It has as very solid frame under it and the main body tub is in good shape.  The only rust I find on the underside is on the drivers floor pan there is two small rust holes as you will see in the pics.  As for the exterior sheet metal the grill, hood, and top are rust free and only have a few dents from normal wear and tear over the years.  The back/bottom of both front fenders are rusty,  the outer rocker panel have some small holes in them from rust,  the bottom of the tailgate has some small rust holes as well. I have tried my best to get good pics of the rusty spots but if there is a different pic feel free to let me know.  Someone in the past has attempted to fix the passenger side qaurter panel and done a sub par job so it will need repaired if it was being restored.  As for the drivetrain it is an original 289 3 speed.  At some point the shifter has been moved from the column to the floor but I have the parts to put it back on the column that will go with it.  When I got it I put a new set of 4:10 gears in the rear axle to make it easier to drive with the larger tires and I didnt not change the front because I have an axle out of a 75 I was going to swap in for the disc brakes therefore the front driveshaft is not in it.  The extra axle comes with it and just needs to put back together with new parts (bearings, ball joints, etc.).  I drive this truck in the summer locally and it has been stored inside since I've owned it.   I ve tried to list everything I can think of but I m sure I have forgot a thing or two so feel free to ask any questions you may have.  This Bronco is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.  This Bronco also comes as is with no warranty.  The buyer is responsible for pickup of the vehicle unless arrangements have been made with me prior to end of auction.  I would be willing to haul it a reasonable distance for the cost of my fuel for anyone who is Interested.  I will ship the vehicle at the buyers expense only if arrangements are made with me prior to auctions end.  There will be a deposit due of $500 within 24 hrs of auctions end with the remainder due within 7 days.  The deposit is due no matter but if the buyer would like to pay the remainder at the time of pickup thats fine as long as arrangements have been made with me prior to auctions end.  Thanks

2015 Ford Transit

Wed, 11 Jun 2014

As a segment, fullsize vans are stealth-fighter invisible on most consumers' radar. Visit a dealership for any of the four brands that offer them and you'll be lucky to find even one on display. These are commercial vehicles primarily, even more so than pickup trucks. Vans are the shuttles for plumbers, caterers, carpenters, concrete layers, masons, electricians, florists and flooring, and a huge part of this country's productivity is accomplished using them. At the moment, Ford is the 800-pound gorilla in that room - fully 41 percent of commercial vehicles wear a Blue Oval. So when Ford announced three years ago it would be ditching its commercial bread-and-butter E-Series, it meant the Transit that would be replacing the Econoline had huge, 53-year-old shoes to fill.
We were still a bit nostalgic about Econoline vans going away until going directly from the Transit first drive in Kansas City to an E-350 airport shuttle. Climb up through the Econoline's tiny double doors and bang your head on the opening, crouch all the way to your seat then enjoy a loud, rattle-prone, creaky, harsh ride on beam-hard seats while struggling to see out the low windows. This is an experience nearly every traveler has had. By comparison, the Transits we'd just spent two days with were every bit of the four decades better they needed to be. It cannot be understated just how much better the Transit is in every single way. The load floor is barely more than knee high. There's a huge side door, and hitting your head on a door opening is nearly impossible. Stand up all the way if you're under six-foot, six-inches - no more half-hunching down the aisle. There are windows actually designed to be looked out of. The ride is buttery smooth, no booming vibration from un-restrained metal panels and no squeaks. Conversations can be held at normal levels rather than yelling over the roar of an ancient V8. The seats are comfortable. The AC is cold. There are cupholders.
Enough anecdote-laying, what's in a Transit? We're talking about a very fullsized unibody van that's enjoyed a 49-year history in Ye Olde Europe. This latest iteration is part of the "One Ford" initiative, so it was designed as a global offering from the get-go, eschewing the body-on-frame construction the E-Series has used since 1975. Instead, the Transit integrates a rigid ladder frame into an overall frame construction made of high-strength cold-rolled and boron steel. The suspension is a simple but well-tuned Macpherson strut array up front with a rear solid axle and leaf springs.

Ford looks back on 50 years of the Mustang in Detroit

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Ford has something special sitting in its booth here at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. In fact, it brought two special somethings in the form of the Ford Mustang 1 Concept that first saw the light of day in 1962 and the very first production Mustang that rolled off the production line in 1964.
These classic creations are sharing floor space with the brand-new 2014 Mustang in honor of the pony car's 50th Anniversary. Since Ford's latest 'Stang already made its auto show debut (at a number of locations, including Los Angeles), we think it's pretty cool that the Blue Oval did something special for its home-town show.
Check out both the Mustang 1 Concept and first production 1964.5 Mustang above and below.

Ford Focus RS ready to make our hot hatch dreams real

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

Ford's current hot hatch siblings the Fiesta ST and Focus ST are already two pretty great entries into the segment, but there's always a desire for a little more. Thankfully, it looks like the Blue Oval is ready to satiate that need because it's continuing to test the even more powerful Focus RS around Europe. According to our spy shooters, these shots come from near the Nürburgring.
As with previous photos, Ford engineers continue to heavily camouflage the front end of the RS prototypes, but there's a big difference here. Unlike earlier ones, this example appears to have a closer-to-production-ready front bumper rather than just a horizontal strip for the license plate. That may point to development getting somewhat closer to wrapping up. Although, this one lacks the larger rear wing from prior testers, and the exhaust also appears to be a work in progress with the rear diffuser covered in mesh in these latest shots.
The RS is rumored to be using the 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder from the 2015 Mustang, but power is reportedly turned up from 310 horsepower in the 'Stang to somewhere between 325 hp and 350 hp for the Focus. Routing all that just through the front wheels could be a recipe for serious torque steer, and all-wheel drive is potentially being used for better traction.
