1973 Bronco with a Harley Davidson theme....

This Bronco has just had a facelift within the past year.  As you can see, it is a rust free solid Bronco that I purchased from its second owner who had the Bronco in Texas for over 25 years.  He bought it from his neighbor, the original owner, who sold it when he needed some money in the early '80's.  The Bronco had only 24K on this original motor when I purchased it from the second owner.

Being an avid biker myself, I changed the theme of this fun truck to please the Harley Davidson side of me. I have retuned and conducted a facelift on this truck to please most that see it.  It is really sharp and runs like a champ.  This engine is the original 302 cubic inch motor with a little over 26K on it now.  It has loads of power!  I have only maintained it and cleaned it up with new points, plugs and wires, new valve covers, and changed out the 2bbl to a 4bbl carburetor, and new air cleaner.  It starts like a jewel without problems and has absolutely no leaks anywhere underneath it.  I can't tell you enough how fun it is to take the top off and drive this powerful little truck!  It steers on a dime with power steering that is very reactive.

I have the swing lever mount (painted up) for back spare tire to use as originally designed.  New power brake system (works great).

One year old paint job (3 part DuPont system with two final coats on it)

HD logo seats with Marine/Boat grade material for no worries weather conditions.

36 inch tires with aluminum polished wheels and new fender flares on the body

New roll bar for the off-roading look and feel

Turned out duel exhaust for great sound and rumble

2 and 1/2 inch lift kit for more 4x4 clearance

New professionally installed Marine grade CD/Radio with IPOD capabilities of programming

Also, three Marine grade box speakers for no worry weather conditions.

New one year old vinyl canopy sport top cover for nice weather driving like a jeep that will keep the direct sun off you and the passenger

I hate to get rid of it and really am truly sad that I am selling it, but have way too many toys now and need to sell a few off to please my wife.

I will be happy to answer questions to only serious bidders.  You can contact me at 217-325-3210 or on my cell @ 618-593-5129

Buyer will be responsible for pick up or delivery within a week of final sale. Seller reserves the right to end auction early as the vehicle is also for sale locally.

Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."

Ford rethinking vehicle launch strategy

Tue, 07 May 2013

With a new boss at the helm, Ford is looking at new ways to improve its vehicle launches in North America to prevent recent issues that have popped up with models like the Lincoln MKZ, Ford Escape and Ford Fusion. Speaking with Automotive News, Ford's new president of the Americas, Joe Hinrichs, revealed a few ways the automaker plans to avoid early build issues such as the engine fires on certain 2013 Escape and Fusion models and months-long delays for customers to receive their MKZs.
It sounds like the root of the problems may have been Ford's relationship with suppliers compounded by the fact that the product surge came on the heels of the recent industry-crippling recession, and in the AN article, Hinrichs says improvements are being made to reduce problems during the launch of new or redesigned models. Three such improvements that were implemented during the first quarter of this year including more rigorous quality comparisons, better use of computer technology to catch major problems sooner and hiring engineers to work closer with suppliers.

2015 Ford F-150 to get 2.7-liter EcoBoost?

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

As we prepare for the arrival of the all-new, next-generation Ford F-150, rumors about the new truck are picking up steam. Naturally, many of said rumors aren't just related to the way the truck will look (it's expected to take design cues from the Atlas concept shown above), they're tied to what's going to motivate the Blue Oval mainstay, with Ford's EcoBoost range likely to play an increasingly key role. While we're still expecting the current 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 to retain its position as a premium alternative to Ford's naturally aspirated V6 and V8, a Canadian automotive news site is proposing that the Dearborn automaker is also preparing a new, more fuel-efficient downsized EcoBoost option.
Autos.ca is reporting that a new, 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 could find its way into the lighter, aluminum-intensive truck. The new engine supposedly makes use of asymmetrical turbos to generate 320 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque - substantially more impressive numbers than the current 3.7-liter base engine's 302 ponies and 278 lb-ft - while offering improved fuel economy and emissions. The new 2.7 EcoBoost (internally dubbed "Nano") isn't expected to supplant the naturally aspirated V6 as the F-150's base engine, it's expected to slot in above directly it.
Naturally, we're prescribing more than a few grains of salt to go with these rumors, at least until Ford debuts the next F-150 at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, a reveal we'll be covering in a mere two weeks.
