LAST YEAR OF THE SMALL BRONCO!!!! HAS CLEAN AND CLEAR SC TITLE.....3 OWNER TRUCK..... KIND OF A RARE TRUCK...HAS HAD ALOT OF WORK DONE TO IT AND STILL NEEDS A LITTLE BIT TO BE SHOW QUALITY!!! THIS BRONCO CAME FACTORY WITH:
-302 V8
-C4 AUTOMATIC
-DISC BRAKES
-HALF CAB
-ORANGE PAINT SCHEME
THE ENGINE HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A LATER MODEL 302 WITH SERPENTINE SETUP AND STILL HAS A/C COMPRESSOR. RUNS GREAT!!! THE C4 AUTOMATIC PULLS AND SHIFTS FINE.....HAS A NEW DACCO 1800 STALL CONVERTER...DIDNT WANT TO GO TO BIG SO IT WOULDNT AFFECT DRIVEABILITY. 4X4 WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!! HAVE PUT NEW BRAKES ON THE FRONT AND REAR. NEW MASTER CYLINDER AND WHEEL CYLINDERS ON REAR.
THE FRONT END IS A DANA 44 AND REAR END IS 9 INCH FORD. NOT SURE OF THE GEAR RATIOS BUT THE TRUCK PULLS THE 35 INCH MICKEY THOMPSON A/T GOOD!!!
THE INTERIOR IS ALMOST FINISHED....FLOOR PANS HAVE NEW METAL AND HAVE BEEN RHINO LINED TO PROTECT AGAINTS DIRT AND DEBRIS. I BOUGHT BLACK CARPET TO PUT DOWN WITH INSULATION...IT IS VERY QUIET INSIDE!!! THE BLACK LEATHER SEATS ALSO SET IT OFF....GIVES IT A SUPER CLEAN LOOK!!! THE DASH PAD IS IN GREAT SHAPE... THE DASH IS STILL WHITE BECAUSE I WAS PLANNING ON PAINTING IT TO MATCH THE TRUCK. WASNT SURE WHAT COLOR TO GO WITH SO I DIDNT PAINT IT YET. I HAVE ALL THE DOOR PULLS NEW, I HAVE ALL LATCHES, AND WINDOW CRANKS! ALL WINDOWS WORK SO THATS NOT AN ISSUE EITHER!!!
THE BODYWORK HAS BEEN STARTED!! LIKE I STATED BEFORE IM NO PROFESSIONAL BUT IT DOES LOOK GOOD IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF. THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS BEEN PAINTED CANDY APPLE RED. I WANTED TO SEE HOW IT LOOKED. I DO HAVE ALL THE PAINT TO PAINT IT CANDY APPLE RED AND IT GOES WITH THE TRUCK! I HAVE STARTED ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOING BODY WORK BUT HAVE LOST INTEREST IN THE TRUCK. STILL HAVE THE STOCK HOOD. THE ONLY PROBLEMS WITH RUST ARE IN THE REAR FLOORPAN OR THE BED AS I CALL IT. AND THE DRIVER DOOR BOTTOM. WINDSHIELD COWL AND DOOR JAMS WERE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE!!! I HAVE NEW PAINTABLE BLACK FENDER FLARES TO GO BACK ON THE TRUCK! I HAVE ALL THE LENS COVERS FOR ALL LIGHTS AND HEADLIGHT TRIM RINGS AND ALL IN A BOX. I REMOVED THEM TO START THE BODY WORK....ALL IN GREAT SHAPE...
I THINK I HAVE LISTED THIS TRUCK AS HONEST AS I POSSIBLY CAN. THERE IS NO RESERVE AND I CAN SHIP FOR 2.00 A LOADED MILE FOR 200 MILES. ANYTHING ELSE IS ON U TO ARRANGE SHIPPING. IF YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE ANYMORE QUESTIONS THEN FEEL FREE TO ASK. I WILL ANSWER THE BEST OF MY ABILITY. THIS IS A PROJECT...IT DOES RUN AND DRIVE BUT IT DOES REQUIRE SOME WORK! YOU ARE NOT GETTING A SHOW TRUCK LOL!!! IT IS A GREAT START I HAVE JUST LOST INTEREST. HAVE TOO MANY IRONS IN THE FIRE IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN! PLEASE CALL OR TEXT IF U HAVE QUESTIONS. Did a US automaker blow the whistle on Hyundai, Kia fuel economy issue?
Mon, 17 Dec 2012In all of the most hotly contested mainstream segments of the motoring universe, the difference of one mile per gallon averaged on a widow sticker can mean the difference between a sale and a walk-off - to say nothing of two or three mpg. So, when Hyundai and Kia were forced to reveal that many of their 40-mpg ratings were actually 38s and 37s, well, it made for big news.
It also, conceivably, made for a competitive disadvantage immediately, when the Korean automakers' products were being shopped versus the guys down the block. And it's that disadvantage that makes a recent story from Automotive News so juicy.
AN is reporting that Margo Oge, former head of the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Transportation and Air Quality, got a tip in 2010 that Hyundai/Kia were "cheating" to get its impressive fuel economy numbers. The tip, said Oge (who retired from the EPA this past September), came from a senior vice president from a domestic automaker. The source was credible enough for Oge to launch an audit of the Hyundai figures, which ultimately lead to the debacle that we reported on a few months ago, and that the Korean company has been trying to bounce back from ever since.
Watch this awesome R/C car chase scene made with cardboard and glue
Fri, 22 Feb 2013It never ceases to amaze us how much video production talent you can find on YouTube, especially when considering movies like Battleship actually exist on the silver screen. It's even better, of course, when cars are involved, which is why we can't stop watching this car chase between a pair of radio controlled Ford Mustangs.
Racing through a detailed set built in the middle of a public street using just "cardboard, hot glue and spray paint," this video is possibly even greater than The Greatest R/C Car Chase Ever that we saw last year. With the exception of a fruit stand and/or a plate-glass window being carried across the street, this has all the makings of a classic cliché chase scene.
Scroll down to watch the scaled-down action ensue as well as the full-scale conclusion.
Jay Leno and Lee Iacocca reflect on 50 years of Ford Mustang
Mon, 30 Dec 2013Lee Iacocca oversaw the birth of the Ford Mustang back in the 1960s, rocketing the new pony car nameplate into million-unit sales territory in its initial go-round and cementing its place in the history books. Thus, we were immediately drawn to this latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage, in which the funnyman hosts Iacocca for a look at the origins of Ford's most iconic sports car. The legendary auto exec is looking notably more frail than when we last saw him, but if we're being asked around as a video guest when we're 89 years old, we'll consider that evidence of a life well lived.
Serial No. 0001 is on hand for the occasion for Jay's romp through history, as is the historic Mustang 1 showcar from 1962. Of course, the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT (in prototype form) makes an appearance at the end of the episode with chief engineer Dave Pericak, as well. Get some, below.
