2001 Ford Crown Victoria , P71, Police package. Ready to Drive.
This car was a black & white From Cleavland. I bought the car at 40,000 miles. It currently has 82,175 and does get driven occasionally. The miles I put on have been a 1-hour drive to work mostly Freeway. (RT422 & 271). My credit was week so I replaced anything it needed with top level parts so I could get to work. I maintained the car for Highway speeds. Last ticket 84 in 65. There is minor rust starting on drivers fender. You can see rust under the hood from setting most of its life.Frame is solid all major components are solid.Just cosmetic rust. The air conditioner had work done in 2007. It works great but needs charged every two years. Need done should cost . ($50-$70) Dose include a center console not pictured.(took out to clean)
(6-26-11) At 41,000 miles the Transmission went and was completely rebuilt with heavy duty parts.($2000) Also Shift cable,02 sensor, exhaust gaskets replaced.
(10-20-11) All 4 ball Joints Replaced (MOOG PARTS) Both Front Sway Links.Windshield wiper motor replaced, ($400)
(6-27-12) Both E-Brakes Removed,( Car does not have E-Brakes) Both Rear axle bearings & seals Replaced.Rear Left axle Replaced (Dorman) Rear end Inspected Mechanic said It looked very good. Also ABS sensor, Both Rear Shocks (Magnums) , Both front Shocks (Magnums) Sway bar bushings replaced (moog) ($1400)
(2-8-13) New starter at 80,948 miles.($70)
(2-9-13) 80,971 miles 4-New EAGLE GT TIRES, 225/60R16 Great on the street, Rated 10 In the snow. No leaks or plugs.Cost ($545.00) they have less than 1500 miles on them.
I bought another car in March,Vic spent most of the time in the driveway after that.
(4-2-13) New Ford racing Intake manifold with Aluminum Crossover. ($300.00) (old one had a small crack in plastic)
(4-20-13) Replaced front cracked Header panel. The hood was stuck down in the winter and I damaged the header getting it open. The header is White. So I plasti-dip the entire car & Put new head lights in. This is not painted green. The car is black,(spray paint) It is rubber coated Matte Green. It will peal off if you want it to. Not the best spray job. Some over-spray on tires. Poor texture on hood & Roof. Check out the tail lights. All the green will peal off If you want the car to look spray paint black with a white header panel. Plasti-dip is on you tube if you want to know more. You can buy it by the spray can to patch up any issues. Or change color,or camo it out. I am not hiding any body rust with the plasti-dip. I am hiding an ugly black spray paint job and some scratches & nicks.
(5-25-13) Coil replaced on one cylinder. Minor miss. Runs great now.
(7-22-13) Mid steering coupling replaced $250.00 The car has been sitting most of the summer.Got in and the steering was tight.
Its not good let a vehicle sit so I am going to sell it. Cash only. I will consider a partial trade on a 4-stroke kids dirt bike around 70cc.Or a go cart, atc 3-wheeler. CFR70,XR80,ECT..JUST ASK.
Clear Title in hand. We can get it notarized & temp tags less than 10mins away on a Saturday morning after the sale. Or I can have my part notarized with your information when you schedule pick it up. The deposit is so I am not wasting my time with the title. Car can be viewed in person in the evenings.

New car market raining on convertibles' parade
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Whether fitted with soft or hard folding lids, today's droptops are better than ever for year-round motoring. Advancements in power top mechanisms, sealing, aerodynamics, structural rigidity, rollover safety and creature comforts like heated and cooled seats mean that modern convertibles are more versatile and better to drive than ever before. Yet the segment's sales took a dive during the recession and haven't come back, Automotive News reports.
Part of that is because automakers are looking at today's more sensible buyers and simply not developing as many new models, and that lack of fresh iron is curbing sales. AN cites R.L. Polk data which notes that only about one percent of new vehicles registered in the US last year had tops that folded. Back in 2009, it was 1.4 percent, and it was 2 percent in 2006. All-in, some 151,636 convertibles were registered in 2012. That's more units more than were registered in each of the past three years, but the market has also grown as the economy has picked up speed, and as a percentage of new vehicles purchased, convertible sales are lagging.
Thus far in 2013, the Ford Mustang is America's top-selling convertible, with 6,421 units registered through the end of April, followed by its rival, the Chevrolet Camaro, at 4,751 units. The Volkswagen Beetle isn't far behind, with 4,305, but from that point, it's a steep drop off to the fourth-place Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and its 2,380 sales.
Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
Watch how Ford torture-tested the 2015 F-150
Wed, 09 Apr 2014The Ford F-150 has been the best-selling truck in the United States for the past 37 years, and the best-selling vehicle outright for the past 32. That's quite a legacy, and thus, it's no surprise that Ford worked super-duper-extra hard on creating the all-new, aluminum-bodied 2015 F-150 that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
During an event at the company's headquarters in Dearborn, MI this week, we were able to see all of the ways that Ford endurance tests, not just the new F-150, but all of its vehicles. From examining things like light exposure to interior materials and paint finishes, to making sure that corrosion absolutely does not happen when steel components come in contact with aluminum panels in the new truck. The goal: ensure that the new F-150 is nothing short of "Built Ford Tough."
But that's only a small part of the story. Of course, the new F-150 has to be able to withstand whatever a pickup buyer might throw at it - and truck buyers arguably demand the most from their vehicles. So in an effort to convey just what the new F-150 had to go through before being given the final go-ahead, Ford has released a series of videos, showing how its new halo truck was indeed torture tested.
