Here is a 2002 Crown Vic with only 65,000 miles!! This car is fully loaded with automatic climate control, tape deck and factory 6 disc CD changer, both driver and passenger power leather seats. This rides like a dream and the engine and transmission shifts awesome! The engine runs so smooth that you can hardly feel it running. everything works in the car and A/C is cold. I've checked NADAGUIDES.COM and clean retail on the vehicle is just over $6,900 and trade in as good as $4,800! The gas mileage on this large full frame car is amazingly good! With the cruise set at 55 mph I get about 28 mpg and with in town driving I still get about 21 mpg. The car has a small dent in the lower part of driver's side rear door and the bumper cover is cracked. I can include a door for the vehicle ($100 for the door) and you make the repairs yourself or I can complete the repairs for about $600-$700, parts, labor, and paint included. If I repairs no "bondo" will be used and the paint will be done by a local dealer. Ford recalling 205k Edge and Lincoln MKX units for possible corrosion
Thu, 30 Oct 2014After the horrible weather last winter, it's hard to look forward for the season to return this year. For those readers in much of the country, the snow is going to be flying soon, and with it comes salt on the roads. That means Ford's regional recall for the 2007-2008 Edge and Lincoln MKX arrives at the perfect time because they are at risk for corrosion.
The campaign covers 204,448 examples of the models in 21 states, plus the District of Columbia and some provinces of Canada. In total there are 186,024 vehicles in need of repair in the US and 18,424 in Canada.
According to Ford, it's possible for the area, "under the reinforcement brackets where the fuel tank is mounted" to corrode. If this happens, there might be a gas smell in the vehicle or even a fuel leak could develop. In fact, the automaker reports that one fire could be related to the problem but no injuries or accidents are reported.
2015 Ford Mustang to offer solid-rear axle, sort of
Tue, 17 Dec 2013One of the biggest knocks against the last Ford Mustang was its solid-rear axle. Not one to actively court criticism, Ford dutifully swapped out the old-fashioned rear end for something a bit more modern in the redesigned 2015 Mustang, adding an independent rear suspension across the board.
While an IRS Mustang is great news for those that value handling and ride comfort, there's one big group that it's bad news for - drag racers. See, a solid-rear axle is a big deal for drag racers, because not only is it more durable and cheaper, but it's better for the hard launches that can make or break a race.
To satiate this vocal demographic, Ford will sell a body-in-white version of the Stang, complete with a nine-inch rear axle, that will debut at the 2014 Performance Racing Industry show. The news came from gas2.org, which cited an unnamed employee of Ford Racing at this year's PRI show.
