This is the third Crown Victoria that is from the City of Chicago that I had listed here on Ebay. This vehicle runs and drives VERY SMOOTH AND QUIET WITH NO PROBLEMS!! It has a VERY CLEAN CARFAX WHICH IS FREE ON THE EBAY LISTING!! Its another Crown Victoria which was acquired straight from the City of Chicago Police detective bureau and honestly I think its the nicest one I've listed for sale!! It of course still has the ORIGINAL TITLE FROM NEW TO THE CITY as seen in the pictures which is clean and clear. It has CLEAN PAINT, GOOD TIRES, GOOD ENGINE, GOOD TRANSMISSION, GOOD GLASS WITH NO CRACKS, GOOD HEATING, POWER WINDOWS, POWER MIRRORS, DUAL AIRBAGS, AND COLD AC FOR THE SUMMER. NO RUST, NO MAJOR DENTS, NO LEAKS, NO NOISES. It has Firestone Firehawk PV41 police tires with very good tread. It has black police cloth interior with the bucket seats which is common in these police crown victorias. It has 1 antenna on the roof thats still completely intact and does not have any leaks or flaws. The interior is clean, however there are wires from the radio equipment and a console which is still in place which can be useful. Those wires are independent auxiliary wires specifically for police equipment and DO NOT effect the electrical system of the vehicle. The car has no flaws and all mechanical and electrical components are good! This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION!! Toyota hangs on to title of world's largest automaker for first half of 2013
Fri, 26 Jul 2013General Motors and Ford can have all the success they please, but it doesn't seem like America's two largest manufacturers are going to topple Toyota in the first half of 2013. According to Reuters, Toyota moved 4.91 million vehicles in the first six months of 2013, representing a 1.1-percent drop from the same period in 2012.
GM is on the rise, though, with a four-percent increase in global sales, to 4.85 million. Volkswagen, still sitting in third, saw a 5.5-percent jump to 4.7 million vehicles in the first half of 2013.
If this pace continues for Toyota, it'll finish 2013 in the top sales spot for the second year in a row. The manufacturer fell to third, behind GM and VW, in 2011 after earthquakes and tsunamis ravaged its production capacity.
Car companies used to cook up sales with recipe books
Fri, 08 Aug 2014The evolution of automotive marketing has undergone a number of strange phases. Few, though, match the strangeness of the 1930s to 1950s, when automotive marketers turned to cookbooks as a means of promoting their vehicles. Yes, cookbooks. We can't make this stuff up, folks.
This bizarre trend led to General Motors distributing cookbooks under the guise of its then-subsidiary Frigidaire. Ford, meanwhile, offered a compilation of recipes from Ford Credit Employees (shown above). The cookbook-craze wasn't limited to domestic manufacturers, though. As The Detroit News discovered, both Rolls-Royce and Volkswagen got in on the trend, although not until the 1970s.

2015 Ford Focus gets more Aston-y [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014With more and more members of the Ford brand adopting a new familial face, the Focus has been left looking like an odd man out. At the Geneva Auto Show, though, it properly rejoined the family, adopting the now familiar Aston Martin-ish grille that's proliferated throughout the range.
Overall, we're liking the refreshed Focus' look. Aside from the new grille, the headlights have been restyled and now look like elongated versions of the lamps on the Focus ST. Functionally, those headlamps are bi-xenon units, complete with an adaptive front lighting system. Out back, the rear retains the same overall look, which has been smoothed out for 2015.
In the cabin, the second-generation of Ford's much-maligned Sync system makes its debut. Sync 2, as it's called, is supposedly more intuitive than the first-gen system. Ford is promising "one-shot" navigation functions for the system. Saying "I'm hungry," should bring up a list of nearby restaurants. Of course, we'll be reserving final judgment until we can test the new system in person.
