***4x4***4x4** 1998 Ford E-350 Econoline Xl Extended Cargo Van 2-door 7.3l *4wd* on 2040-cars
Bethel, Vermont, United States
This is a Quigley converted 4x4 van I purchased from the original owner about three years. This is a one ton van. It has a 7.3 diesel engine well mantained and runs strong. I had the automatic transmision rebuilt with an upgraded torc converter and a new shift sensor in case of towing big loads. The transmision rebuild was at 102000 miles. I have all the paper work for everything that has been done to the van. The tires are 35" with stock rims I bought them used to be sure they would fit and they do. I was planning on buying new tires and rims just have not gotten that far. This van runs great and drives great. I use it on a regular bases for work. It will get on average about 14mpg. The bad part of the van is the rust on the under body. The frame is fine no weak points, but under the body has many spots in need of repair. It will be in need of exsaust woork. This vehicle is available for local pick-up. I can deliver the van to the buyer up to 100 miles from zip code 05032. Bethel, Vermont. Additionally, shipping arrangements can be made through uShip. Payment can be cash in person, paypal, or contact with ?'s. |

Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California
Fri, 01 Mar 2013A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.
Ford reports 58% drop in Q2 profits on European losses
Wed, 25 Jul 2012
Ford Motor Company announced Wednesday that it has posted a $1 billion profit for the second quarter of 2012. That sounds like good news for the Blue Oval, until you take into account that Ford posted a $2.4 billion profit for Q2 a year ago. That is a substantial 58 percent loss.
Ford also posted $465 million in international losses, with $404 million of those losses coming directly from Europe. The automaker also increased its European loss projections to $1 billion for 2012, due in large part to the economic crisis overseas, which has resulted in increased unemployment and decreased consumer confidence.
Ford EcoBoost V6 hits the dyno before hitting the track
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Ford Racing just unveiled the Riley Daytona Prototype that will make its racing in the United SportsCar Racing Championship Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, and now it has released a video showing development of twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the car. Using the same block and heads that can be found on a production Ford Taurus SHO, this new racecar benefits from the collaboration between Ford Racing and Ford powertrain engineers.
While we still don't know what kind of power this engine is putting out, it has definitely gotten a workout at Ford's 17G dyno. This area deep within Ford allows the automaker's racing program to work hand-in-hand with production engine programs, which can be a benefit to racing operations and production cars alike. Scroll down to hear a few people from Ford talk about the crosspollination between its racing and engine teams and watch the EcoBoost get red hot on the dyno.
