2011 Ford E350 Medix Type III. We took this in from a squad that downsized their operation.

Truck is in exceptional condition. Aside from a few minor surface scratches from regular use, there is nothing for me to pick on.

Truck has all the standard power windows, locks, CD player etc. Also has an inverter and full LED package.

No funny noises, no surprises.

We never charge administrative fees, handling fees or temp tag fees. We will gladly assist with delivery and have experienced drivers standing. We also have a transporter available. If you choose to drive home, simply provide us with proof of insurance with this vehicles VIN number and we will issue a 20 day temp tag. Truck will have a full tank of gas before it leaves our facility.

This is a truck to be proud of and would be a nice addition to any fleet.

I drove and inspected this truck personally. I am extremely picky and only list products that I would use myself.

We request a $1000 refundable deposit to hold this truck. If you are unhappy for any reason at pickup, I will refund your deposit in full.

A Ferno 35A 500 LBS capacity stretcher or a Stryker EZ-PRO 500 LBS capacity stretcher is included with this ambulance. If you prefer another type of stretcher that we sell I am offering a $1000 credit toward the purchase. If you choose not to take a stretcher, I will take $1000 off the purchase price of the ambulance

Any questions please call Jay at 917 217 1362

Martin Smith retires, Joel Piaskowski in as Ford Europe design chief

Thu, 29 May 2014

The mind behind the look of much of the modern Ford global range is retiring. Martin Smith, Head of Ford Design in Europe, will give up his position on July 1 and will leave the company altogether at the end of the year. He will be replaced by current Strategic Concepts Group leader Joel Piaskowski (pictured above).
Smith has led Ford of Europe design for the past 10 years, and he was partially responsible for the brand's Kinetic Design language with a large grille and swept-back headlights found on the Focus, Fiesta and C-Max, as well as several other vehicles abroad. After stepping down on July 1 until his retirement at the end of 2014, Smith will work on a project to decide the future direction of the company's look with Moray Callum, its vice president of design.
Piaskowski already has some impressive credentials in terms of automotive design as well. He joined Ford in 2010 as director of exterior design and led the teams responsible for the 2015 Ford Mustang and next-generation F-150. He was also previously design director at Ford Asia Pacific. Before working at the Blue Oval, Piaskowski held positions at Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and General Motors. Scroll down to read the complete announcement of this changing of the guard.

Detroit automakers gain market share simultaneously for first time in 20 years

Wed, 01 May 2013

While monthly sales figures might be an easy way of tracking the progression of the auto industry and individual automakers, looking at market share might be more indicative of how each company is actually standing up against its competitors. For the Detroit Three automakers, they have collectively lost almost 30 percent of the market over the last 20 years, but now, for the first time since 1993, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have each posted market share gains at the same time.
According to Automotive News, Ford's share increased the most by 0.7 percent, GM was up 0.5 percent and Chrysler rose marginally by 0.2 percent, giving the Detroit automakers a total market share of 45.6 percent. As for the Japan's Big Three, the article reports that Toyota is up by 0.7 percent, Nissan is down the same amount and Honda has seen "little change."

eBay Find of the Day: 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra prototype

Wed, 08 May 2013

Over the last decade or so, competition in NASCAR has led to some pretty funky looking racecars. And when the sport was still up and coming, the tight competition actually led to some interesting production cars. The Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird are perhaps the most well-known cars of the sport's "aero wars" era but the Ford Torino King Cobra might have been the most memorable of all, if not for some different homologation rules established in 1970. The Torino King Cobra never made it to production and never competed in NASCAR, but three examples exist including this one now for sale on eBay.
Designed as a successor for the aero-tuned Torino Talladega, the Torino King Cobra has a sleeker front end with hidden headlights and a sloped nose. As the story goes, NASCAR made a rule change in 1970 requiring 3,000 of the vehicles to be produced, which was substantially more than the 500 units required by the previous rule. One of the three prototypes ever built - and the only one built with the Boss 429 engine - is now for sale on eBay with a starting bid of $500,000. With a little more than three days left on the auction there are still no bids, but in the grand scheme of things this seems like a relatively fair price for a rare piece of automobile and racing history.
