Up for auction is a 1998 Ford E350  Ice Cream Van!

I have 2 trucks that I have been running for the last 10 years and purchased this van to help a single mother out with income!
She has since found a regular full time job so this van is really no longer needed!

The van is a Ford E350, it has a serving window, music box, power inverter and chest freezer.
This van was put together quickly and out of necessity therefore it needs a few cosmetic things done to make it really nice!
The "ice cream" logo on the sides is spray painted by her and her kids!  It is not the best job but was sufficient!
The serving window is actually an RV sliding window which needs to be trimmed properly!
Although, it has a little over 220,000 miles, the suspension and mechanical condition are good!  The guy I bought it from said the engine was replaced a few years ago so I really don't know the exact ,mileage other than it runs good!
There is also a dent in the front bumper that I never repaired.
Even with these few minor cosmetic issues this van  is a MONEY MAKER!!!

I am letting it go cheap because I don't want to store it over winter and have no plans to hire a driver next season.

This is a great starter truck that won't kill you financially on start up costs!
You WILL make  MONEY with this truck.....just create a route, drive slow, play your music and you'll be fine!!

There might even be enough time left before winter(in the midwest) to make your money back and turn a small profit!

Don't make the mistake of WAITING till next year to purchase an ice cream truck!  These vans/trucks become very pricey as the ice cream season approaches!
Buy it now and fix it the way you want it and you'll be ready to go next season!

         ALL OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED!!

Thanks for looking!

Ford starting up 2.0L EcoBoost engine production in Ohio

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of The Americas (pictured above), announced today that in late 2014, the automaker will be building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder at its Cleveland Engine Plant, a move requiring a $200-million investment and the hiring of 450 new employees. European-built Ford products will continue to source this engine from the Valencia, Spain plant where all of these EcoBoost four-cylinder engines are currently built, and the new Cleveland engines will be used for all North American-made models.
Ford is planning to build its popular EcoBoost engines regionally to maximize production capacity and meet customer demand. Last year, Ford sold 334,364 vehicles with EcoBoost engines in the US alone, and that number is expected to swell to more than 500,000 by the end of this year, with global sales expected to total 1.6 million. By 2015, Ford says that 95 percent of its nameplates will offer an EcoBoost engine.
One such vehicle that could be adding an EcoBoost engine, according to Automotive News, is none other than the 2015 Ford Mustang. The report says that Ford could use either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost or an upcoming 2.3-liter EcoBoost in the sixth-generation pony car.

2015 Ford Focus Sedan is fresh-faced and ready to defend its Most Popular crown

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

Ford has made an art of deeper-than-normal midlife updates since the 2010 Fusion, a strategy that has allowed it to keep models looking fresher in showrooms for longer without needing full redesigns. Instead of slight touchups to light fixtures, new paint colors and perhaps new wheel patterns, Ford has been digging deeper, with significant sheetmetal changes and very different front-end looks, along with an increased emphasis on new in-car technologies to keep models vibrant. Other automakers are following this trend, and Ford itself is continuing on the path with this new 2015 Focus Sedan.
There's a handsome new SE Sport Package that includes a firmer touring suspension, modest body kit and 17-inch wheels.
We first saw this sleek Aston Martin-like nose fitted to a Focus at the Geneva Motor Show last month, but Ford only showed the new look on the five-door hatchback - this is the first appearance of the sedan, which will bow at next week's New York Auto Show. The front end treatment is the same, with a new hood, new headlamps incorporating LED accents, a different grille shape and a completely revised lower fascia that does away with the 2014 model's controversial triangle-shaped corners and gaping intakes. The rear gets a new two-piece, laser-brazed trunk lid with new taillamps, but the overall look is quite similar to last year's car. In any case, the refreshed look brings the Focus sedan more in line with the design of Ford's other recently reworked cars, including the Fusion and Fiesta.

NHTSA closes Ford F-150 EcoBoost acceleration probe

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Typically when we report on the findings of an investigation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it's because the government body has discovered a safety issue and prescribed a recall. In this case, however, NHTSA has closed an investigation into a reported performance deficit without ever getting to the recall stage.
The issue revolves around the Ford F-150 - specifically those equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine - of which some 360,000 were built in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 model years. After receiving an initial 95 complaints, NHTSA opened an investigation last May - almost a year ago - into the reported issue of reduced engine power under hard acceleration. The agency has since received a total of 525 such complaints, and Ford itself reported receiving over 4,000.
Together, NHTSA and Ford determined that the problem resulted from cylinders misfiring, an issue itself stemming from water getting into the charge air cooler (CAC) mated to the turbochargers. In particularly humid or rainy conditions, water was found to get into the CAC, causing some of the cylinders to misfire, which in turn triggered the ECU to disable those cylinders in order to protect the catalytic converter from damage.
