1998 Ford Expedition Xlt Sport Utility 4-door 5.4l 297k Power Ac 4x4 Tow Package on 2040-cars
Seabrook, New Hampshire, United States
Up for auctions is a:
1998 Ford Expedition XLT Mileage: 297,160 Condition: No rust or body rot, in pretty good physical and running shape, especially considering the mileage. Known Defects: I have gone through the vehicle completely and made a few recent repairs. Some of the things that need to be fixed are the horn doesnt work, but from the checks ive done, it appears to possibly just be the horn itself, which you can purchase another one at a junk yard and replace. The front drivers seat does not move forward or backwards, its power. It does go up and down though. I have purchased a used seat switch from the local salvage yard, I just havent had the time to install it yet. It may fix the issue it may not. And the side of the seat is torn up a little as you can see in the photos. If you would like to pay an extra $100, I'll go the salvage yard and get another power seat, remove the old one, and put the replacement in free of charge, your just basically paying for the seat, my labor and time is free. Theres a minor crack in the rear drivers side tail light, but the light still works fine, and the crack isnt noticeable at a distance. If your willing to pay $40, i'll get you another tail light and replace that also, but the crack is what I would call minor and doesnt effect the lighting. The running board lights dont work, but I havent got underneath yet to look to see if its just a simple plug issue. Its not a fuse issue as I replaced every single fuse with 30amp fuses. To my knowledge those are the only issues, the horn, drivers side seat, and small crack in rear tail light. All minor issues and easily fixable. I will personally detail the car the best I can prior to any buyer coming to view and purchase the vehicle, so it will be squeaky clean. **Please do not purchase this vehicle and take the ad down if you do not intend on paying, or if you intend on trying to pay a lower price when coming to view the vehicle at pick up. If you would like to see the vehicle PRIOR to buying through this ad, just email me and you can come look at it any time you wish. The final price is the final price, no exceptions. Its a pretty good deal and wont last long with winter time coming up, everyone wants a 4 wheel drive vehicle with a tow package right now. Plenty of interior room also to bring the family around. ***VIDEO AT BOTTOM OF AD |

Leno talks racing with NASCAR racer Joey Logano
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Jay Leno has to be under significant pressure knowing the appetite his fans have for a new Jay Leno's Garage video every week. This time, Jay takes a break from his usual format (something he's been doing with some frequency as of late) and goes back to his roots as a talk show host. There's no classic in the garage his episode with an interesting story to tell and a sumptuous exhaust note. Instead, the focus is purely on interviewing 23-year-old NASCAR racer Joey Logano about what it's like to be a racecar driver in his Ford Fusion.
Logano started racing at the tender age of six and has risen up the circle-track ranks to the big show of the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The two of them talk about what it's like to compete in the sport today compared to yesteryear, and Logano shares some racing anecdotes. Of course, they also get into what it's like to be on the racetrack controlling a car with about 850 horsepower, a four-speed manual transmission and brakes without any power boost. Scroll down to watch the video.
Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort
Fri, 24 May 2013Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
Ford builds one-off 50th anniversary Mustang Convertible for charity
Thu, 08 May 2014At the New York Auto Show this year, Ford revealed a special-edition Mustang to honor the iconic pony car's 50th anniversary. Only 1,964 highly symbolic examples will be made, all of them fixed-roof coupes. But the Blue Oval automaker has just announced that it's also building a single 50 Years edition convertible that it will raffled off for charity.
The first production example of the new Mustang Convertible to roll off the line this fall, this one-off will pack many of the features on the 50 Years coupe, including its white paintjob, chrome trim, aluminum dashboard, two-tone upholstery, contrast stitching, special 19-inch wheels and special-edition badging throughout.
This unique cabrio will also be fitted with a special performance pack including Pirelli PZero rubber, Brembo brakes and a limited-slip differential to help get the 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque from the 5.0-liter V8 through the six-speed manual transmission and down to the road. It'll also feature a serial plaque with the number 0001 of 0001 and chairman Bill Ford's signature.
