Selling my brothers 53 f-100 truck has been in the family for almost 30 years! I bought the truck from him with the intentions of fixing it up, but I have other projects that come first and I hate seeing it just sit there. Hopefully someone can get her back on the road and enjoy her! I'm selling this truck as a PROJECT. It DOES runs, but is currently not street worthy until the brakes are fixed. My brother also started to rewire the truck with a painless wiring harness,But it still needs to be cleaned up and dash needs to be finished being wired!!, Headlights, turn signals, brake lights are wired and work.

Motor is a 351m that was rebuilt some time in 1994, In 2000 my brother added edelbrock intake, edelbrock carb, mallory ignition, aluminum pulleys and a engine dress up kit. Not sure actual miles on engine,(maybe 55k)  It runs strong and sounds healthy (no weird noises) also had power steering added.

Transmission is a C6 and a ford 9" rear end with 4:11 gearing

Body is all steel and was completely stripped to bare metal in 1993 (check pics) the custom tilt front end is ALL steel and has a ton of man hours to make it,Truck was painted trans-am red and its the only paint on there (no surprises) a repaint is going to be needed or keep the 20 year old hotrod patina look!  Body is in really good condition with a few small dents and dings. There is a few rust spots on the truck but nothing major. the worst spot is passenger side rear wheel well where it attaches to the running board,(pics) the other is some superficial spots on the top cab around the windshield (check pics) the tailgate is bent in a few areas and could either be fixed or replaced. Cab is solid i cant see any rust in the known problem areas in the corner or floor boards.

Interior is in decent shape with a bench seat, custom door panels and kick panels. Does not have a headliner. driver side glass has a crack in the top and will need to be replaced ($30 bucks) doors don't shut all the time so i purchased some new strikers to fix the problem, just haven't had time to install them. Has a tilt column out of a 90s chevy with a wood grain steering wheel.

Chassis still retains its original components, It drives straight down the road, but it is a little stiff. Theirs a bunch of different set-ups for the front end these days that are really inexpensive for this kind of truck.

If you have any questions or want to come check out the truck please feel free to call me @ 818-269-8219 john, Truck is originally from socal and lived 19 years in Nevada and is now back in California. My brother is the second owner and owned it for almost 30 years!!! depoist of $500.00 is do thru paypal within 24hrs of .auction ending. Truck will need to be trailered and is not street worthy yet...Needs breaks! I will help with loading, but buyer is responsible for all shipping cost! thanks Happy bidding!!!

Ken Block is at it again in Gymkhana 6

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If there's one thing we'll say about Ken Block and his latest installment in the Gymkhana family, it's that it's far more structured than previous videos, but that doesn't mean it skimps on the entertainment. Block is on a purpose-built course which was touted as "The... Ultimate... Gymkhana... Grid... Course" in last week's preview. Unlike Gymkhana 5, which took placed on closed streets in San Francisco, this course seems much more compact.
Block has an entire array of challenges to tackle in his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta ST, and none of them look particularly easy. In fact, we'd argue that Gymkhana 6's grid course requires much more precise driving that previous titles. There are Segways, Lamborghinis and massive pieces of construction equipment that all must be dealt with.
We've got the entire 6:28 of Gymkhana madness for you down below. Scroll down for the video and then hit Comments and let us know how this installment compares to previous Block works.

2015 Ford F-150 shaves 700 pounds, adds 2.7-liter EcoBoost [w/video]

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Ford F-150 is one of the best selling vehicles on the planet. Considering that, one can imagine that when it comes time for a redesign, there are hardly any half measures. For its lucky thirteenth generation, Ford has gone all-in on the single most important vehicle in its portfolio, redesigning it from the ground up.
The big news is the F-150's new, lightweight, Atlas-inspired body. Ninety-three percent of that new body is made from a sort of aluminum alloy not unlike what the US military uses in its M2 Bradley fighting vehicles and Humvees, and it accounts for up to 70 percent of the F-150's 700-pound weight reduction. As a side benefit, the aluminum body should prove more resistant to dents and dings. Built Ford tough, indeed.
If you're wondering where the other 30 percent of that 700-pound weight loss went, 8.5 percent (60 pounds) came from the increased use of high-strength steel (up from 23 percent to 77 percent) in its ladder-box frame. Ford claims this steel is comparable to some of the heavy duty pickups used by its competitors, with a PSI rating of 70,000.

2015 Galpin Ford GTR1

Mon, 25 Aug 2014

Last year in Monterey, we met GTR1 for the first time. Galpin Auto Sports pulled the wraps off its Ford GT-based supercar, powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.4-liter V8 good for a whopping 1,024 horsepower and 739 pound-feet of torque. The thing was totally custom-made and reportedly took some 12,000 man hours to create. And there it sat on the Pebble Beach grass, $1,000,000-plus price tag and all.
This year, the Galpin was back, albeit with one big change. That twin-turbo engine? Gone. In its place, a 5.4-liter V8 with a 4.0-liter Whipple supercharger bolted on, delivering an astonishing 1,058 hp and 992 lb-ft of torque on 110-octane fuel. 0-60? 2.9 seconds. Top speed? Somewhere above 225 miles per hour.
"Some things to keep in mind: no stability control, no traction control," were the only warnings given by Galpin's Brandon Boeckmann before taking me on a quick spin in the supercar. And after having my eyes thrown into the back of my skull a few times, laughing hysterically and trying to regain full use of my hearing after my ear drums being bombarded by the apocalyptic roar behind me, Brandon pulled over and said it was my turn, if I was ready to take the wheel.
