You're looking at a 1956 F100 Panel Truck, "ol Bessy's Garage", so named because it has 1963 Harley Panhead Bobber(Ol Bessy) parked inside.  Auction is for both.  Both are in driving/running/riding condition.  The additions on the truck are far too numerous to mention so check out the pics and ask questions.  Brief description: hot rod black, old school grn pinstriping/lettering, 302, C6, bike wheel chock, '08 Dodge caravan second row buckets for seats-allows for tilting them forward for rear access through front doors, no heat or air, cowl vent is operational and actually works well to cool interior even when driving in 90 degree weather.  Interior panels are gray tweed material, has mirrors on both rear sidewalls-allows for excellent viewing of sides of bike without rolling it out.  Full black carpet-front to back.  Bike is parked on a nice H-D rubber mat to protect the carpet as it is an old harley and does leave it's mark!  Truck has pinstriping on sides, rear doors/rollpan, grill, hood, inside of front doors, dash, and glove box door.  Is equipped with a newer cd player stereo but is not a big buck blow you out of the truck quality.  Will provide good listening though.  Speakers are nothing to fancy: 4" surface mount up front on kick panels, surface mount truck speakers mounted in back on side panels.  Has drivers side wiper only.  Have other wiper but the wiper motor was changed and wiper transmission not compatable with inside out movement needed for truck.  Would require some modification of wiper transmission.  Truck is not some trailer queen restoration but a very nice driver quality and price so reflects.

1963 Harley Panhead Bobber is an '05 build.  Full 1963 driveline/registration.  2005 paucho hardtail frame, '97 springer frontend, kick start only, sportster tank, inch and a qtr black drag bars, check out the Indian Larry style custom made kick pedal!,  panhead footboards, hand grenade/disk lock mounted on custom rear fender strut.  Keep in mind this is truely an old harley and drips oil and after not being started for awhile will exhale oil through breather on first startup.  Bike is held in place in truck with 2" "Hog Ties" into wheel chock and the ties will be included.  Also included is all aluminum "black widow" loading ramp.  Ramp does slide inside truck and is tied to left rear sidewall.

Ok, lots of missing info here but far too much to list so ask questions, either through email or if serious you may call 320-769-4303.  I will answer all questions to the best of my ability and as soon as possible.  Please do not ask me to separate the two...they are a match made in heaven!  Can't bring myself to separate, you buy them both and do as you wish once they are yours.  Feel free to make me an offer-never know how stupid I might be on any given day!!  Nothing rediculously low however.

Thanks for looking!

'Born of a Blue Sky' brings the Amelia Island Concours to you

Fri, 03 May 2013

The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance has more clout every year and is getting a reputation as Pebble Beach minus the madness. Held in March this year, it celebrated Ducati and the 50-year anniversaries of Lamborghini, the Corvette Sting Ray, Porsche 911 and the Ford GT40.
Justin Lapriore was there, and seemingly everywhere, getting footage of the various wares on display on the lawns and the sand and the runway. The resulting video, Born of a Blue Sky, is a 16-minute survey of some of the finer sights and plenty of engine sounds. Check it out below.

Ford will build Hackmobile out of Transit Connect Wagon

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

What you see in the above image is a rendering of the Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon. What is that? It's a "mobile fabrication and hacking unit" that includes tools for metal- and woodworking, 3D and electronics fabrication, a three-axis CNC machine called "The Fabber," a video projector and screen, an air compressor, an 84x48-inch work surface that folds out like a Murphy bed and oh so much more. When not in use, all of the implements fold neatly into the back of Ford's award-winning van.
But perhaps the more important question is why is that? Because Make Magazine held an Ultimate Maker Vehicle Challenge in conjunction with Ford in which ten teams created were charged with creating "the ultimate Ford Transit Connect Wagon for the do-it-yourself enthusiast." Team Twin Cities Maker won the competition with the Hackmobile, and in addition to winning $10,000, Ford has declared it's actually going to build the thing - which is great, because if they can actually engineer a road-legal Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon as envisioned, the inevitable A-Team movie reboot might need to think about including it.
Check out the video below for a cheeky walk-through of the Hackmobile, and get all the particulars in the press release below that.

Ford brings FPV Falcon production in house [w/video]

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

For the first time since 1976, Ford of Australia is bringing the assembly of its stonking Ford Performance Vehicle line back in-house to the company's Broadmeadows and Geelong facilities. That's a point of pride for FPV, which builds high-performance versions of the Australian Falcon model like the F6, GS and the heroic GT seen here.
In the video below, we hear FPV employees talking in hushed tones about the important legacy that cars like the GT have for Australian gearheads of all stripes, and how proud they are to say that hand-built machines like this GT R-Spec with its Boss 355 engine are now rolling out of their home base. For our part, we're just dying to drive this version of the Coyote V8; the engine is rocking a "Miami" supercharger from Harrop and makes some 450 horsepower.
Continue on below for the video, or you can check out some images of the new FPV at the facility, as well as a gallery of the GT R-Spec car.
