here is another of my project trucks i am selling, this is a pretty original 1959 fleetside f-100 4x4, this is the first year of the factory 4x4 made in the ford factory.. previous years of early ford 4x4's were fitted with napco or marmon 4x4 units.. this truck has a 6 banger in it and previous owner installed a aluminum intake manifold and headers on it.. it sounds and runs pretty good.i can take pics of the engine bay and the work done to it but i am fixing a broken hinge spring on the hood as it will not stay up and i will upload these pics first of the week..the drivetrain is complete and seems to function fine and this truck does come with some spare parts as seen in the bed..the seats can go with it but i may use them on another project..the body is fairly straight and the interior is pretty complete..this truck could be a good resto project or rat rod it as a early 4x4 survivor..the bad on this truck is the obvious rust issues..the running boards are shot and it does have rust in the typical locations.the floor feels ok, the bed has been repaired at some point but as i said earlier it is still fairly straight..it is 53 years old and hard to find one without some rust issues.. this is a project truck and my starting price is low and my reserve is low..there is a lot to work with here but it is a factory f-100 4x4 first year made.. i can help with delivery and transport if needed.. call for more info 208 215 1591 and i will try to be of any help possible..truck has a clear title as well and is tagged for 2 more months..

Ford Fiesta rally car warms up in Sweden

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

Rallycross is seeing a sudden surge in popularity with two series bringing the racing to the US and Europe. The Ford OMSE team is competing in both championships this season, and it saw no reason not to hold practice with a highly modified Fiesta in the snow of Northern Sweden. It brought together Andreas Bakkerud from the European-focused FIA World Rallycross Championship and Patrik Sandell from the North American-focused Global Rallycross series for some training and fun. They certainly appear to be enjoying themselves, too, with some lovely pirouettes in the powder.
If you're unfamiliar with rallycross, the discipline combines the best of rallying and circuit racing. Drivers (with no co-drivers) race rally cars over a circuit that generally mixes dirt and asphalt, and unlike traditional rallying, multiple cars compete side-by-side at once. Even better, it's often a very two-fisted form of motorsports with lots of car-to-car contact. Global Rallycross and World Rallycross will both kick off their seasons in May. With spring on the way, scroll down to watch the Fiesta kick up some of the last snow drifts of the year.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Wed, 28 Dec 2011

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

Ford Mustang pinball machine has supple wrist, plays by sense of smell [w/video]

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

Ford didn't have anything major to show off at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, so it seems it instead opted to have some fun - it brought a row of pinball machines to the show. Yes, pinball machines.
We originally told you about the Stern Pinball Ford Mustang machine a few days ago, and as day two of the Chicago show is a bit of a slow one, we opted to head to the show floor and get some snaps of the bank of new machines. Not surprisingly, there's plenty for the Mustang fan in each of these machines, ranging frond different models, to logos to a full model.
Take a look below for our full gallery of live shots, available up top. Then head below for our original gallery of stock images, along with a video and press release on the new machines.
