1964 F100 Lived in barn for years. Just don't have time, resources to finish. The 223 in truck runs, it will pull on/off trailer, but needs to be changed. Have 03 Crown Vic K member installed, independent suspension, disc, rack/pinion, brakes started, but not finished. NO rust, but for a minor area at front bed floor, and small spot under battery tray. Cab, and bed are as close to 100% perfect as you could ask for on this old a truck. The boxes, and ladder racks are original from order for Mississippi Power, and Lights. Truck was ordered in Memphis Tn, built in Chicago, delivered to MP&L in 64. I am the second owner, previous owner worked for, and bought truck from MP&L in 1967. This is not yet a road ready truck. Had to pick clear title, but is sold with Bill of Sale. Truck listed locally, may be pulled from auction at any time. Have drove truck around yard as is. K frame installed with 6 inch channel steel over frame, 1 inch steel crush tubes. K Frame is bolted in but rear torsion mounts need finished. Truck steers fine at this moment, but a small work needs complete. This is a project truck, but a very solid truck. The pickup/delivery will be the buyer's responsibility. |

Ford finally issues recall for 230K minivans over rust problems
Sun, 10 Mar 2013The rust issue in the rear wheel wells of 2004-2007 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans has finally led to a recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation into the matter in 2011, said investigation being upgraded to an engineering analysis a year later while NHTSA tried to figure out how many model years should be included in the assessment.
Ford has decided to recall all of the 230,000 minivans potentially affected, namely those sold in salt-belt states and countries like Canada. The excess rust in the rear wheel wells was also able to prevent the third-row seats from locking to the floor of the minivan. To repair the problem, owners can take their minivans to dealers, and the dealers will place new panels in the wheel wells, replace the third-row seat mounting brackets and relocate the latches to an area away from any corrosion.
Ford says it will begin notifying owners during the last week of March.

If you disagree with us, we suggest you have a look at this 1990 Mustang Coupe, which just might change your mind. Although considering just how extensively modified this car - the Top Notch Mustang from Creations n' Chrome - is, we wonder just how much Ford is left in this old pony.
It rides on a custom race tube chassis that weighs a scant 700 pounds, while carbon-fiber bits and bobs help lower the overall curb weight to a mere 2,400 pounds. When paired with supercharged, 5.0-liter, Aluminator V8 from Ford Racing, the results are, doubtlessly, exciting. 855 horsepower at the rear wheels and 667 pound-feet of torque are available from that force-fed V8 should be just plenty for this car's intended purpose of running in standing-mile competitions.
The Top Notch Mustang is more extreme than just weight savings and a big engine, though. That 5.0-liter is essentially in what's known as a front-mid layout - where the engine is actually behind the front axle. In this case, the 5.0-liter V8 is 17 inches further back than a factory Fox-body, for better weight distribution. As a result, the cabin has been completely overhauled. An SLA front suspension, wheels from HRE, Wilwood brakes and Sparco interior items round out the extensive list of mods.
