1966 Ford F100 , Shop Truck, Rat, Patina on 2040-cars
Athens, Ohio, United States
You are bidding on 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab pickup. It is equipped with a 352 V8 rated at 250 HP with a 600 CFM Holley four barrel carb. It has an electric choke that kicks on when cold very nicely. It was an originally a C6 automatic but now has a three speed on the floor that shifts great. The interior is very nice with a new tuck and roll seat and door panels. The floor pans have been patched with new carpet over top. There are new weatherstripping for the doors and vent windows. All wipers, lights, turn signals work well. The oil pressure reads 60 lbs good pressure. The heat and defrost work well and warm. All glass is good and windows go up and down well. There is a aftermarket AM / FM tape player radio with new door speakers. It has Power Brakes with new shoes, wheel cylinders, and drums. Steering is manual. Dual exhaust with glass packs and chrome tips. Engine runs great but leaks a little oil but nothing major. If it sits in the garage for a month there's a half dollar stain of oil underneath oil pan. The body is two-tone carribean blue and white. The bed is very solid only surface rust but the cab has some rust issues around drip rail ( see pics ) . The cab doesn't leak in the rain but could use a seam sealer around the drip rain. Underneath is very solid except for floor pans. They have been patched but I have a new set of floor pans from Macs that go with the truck. Tires are 235/75 R15 and I have the original full hubcaps as well.
Had plans of turning into a shop truck but new baby forces sell. My loss is your gain. Happy bidding!!! |

Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang appears at EAA Oshkosh
Sat, 26 Jul 2014Ford is back at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture air show in Oshkosh, WI, on July 31 auctioning off its seventh Mustang for charity, and this is one seriously mean looking 2015 'Stang. All of the money from the sale goes to give free introductory flights to young people to get them interested in aviation.
We recently saw this latest EAA Mustang as a sketch. However, it looks a whole lot more menacing in person. Dubbed the Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang, it takes liberal inspiration from Lockheed Martin's latest fighter jet, and the customization makes the pony car look ready for a role in Top Gun.
On the outside, the special Mustang wears titanium-color paint that's offset by a black and yellow stripe running from hood to rear. Out back things get really wild with a mix of bright yellow and black that flows diagonally all the way to the rear spoiler. The design is based on the livery of early production F-35s. If the rousing color scheme isn't enough to get you interested, the car also gets a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, lowered suspension and a set of custom 21-inch wheels with yellow brake calipers.

Ford's Mulally makes shortlist for Microsoft CEO
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Ford CEO Alan Mulally has made the short list to take over tech giant Microsoft, lending further credence to rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would ditch Dearborn and move to Redmond.
The report comes from Reuters, which claims that alongside Mulally, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and three candidates from within Microsoft are on the short list to succeed Steve Ballmer at the company's helm, although previous reports claim the Ford exec is the number one candidate. Mulally is currently working without a contract, although Bill Ford seems to believe that he isn't likely to depart. Despite this belief, Ford was quoted just last month talking about the depth of talent on the Blue Oval's executive team.
"There is no change from what we announced last November. Alan remains fully focused on continuing to make progress on our One Ford plan. We do not engage in speculation," said Ford spokesman Jay Cooney.
