1972 FORD F-100 PICKUP. THIS PICKUP HAS HAD THE FRONT CLIP CUT OUT OF IT AND REPLACED WITH THE FRONT CLIP FROM A 1973-1987 CHEVY C-10 PICKUP. SO INSTEAD OF I-BEAM WITH DRUM BRAKES ON FRONT IT HAS INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION WITH POWER DISC BRAKES. THIS PICKUP ALSO HAS POWER STEERING NOW. THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER WAS NOT THE MOST SANITARY INSTALLATION I HAVE EVER SEEN. IT HAS ISSUES WITH THE BRAKES (BRAKE FADE) WITH THE LIGHTS(EVERY NOW AND THEN THEY JUST GO OUT AND THE LEFT BLINKER STOPS WORKING) I HAVE NEITHER THE TIME OR THE INCLINATION TO WASTE ANY TIME ON THIS PICKUP. IT HAS HAD THE ORIGINAL UPRIGHT RADIATOR REPLACED WITH A LATER MODEL ALUMINUM CROSSFLOW RADIATOR TO HELP KEEP THE ENGINE COOL. IT HAS A GOOD RUNNING 390 W/C-6 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE MILEAGE ON THE TRUCK IS WHO KNOWS,IN EXCESS OF THE 100,00 MILES LIMIT TO THE ODOMETER. THE ENGINE HAS ABOUT 10,000 MILES AND WAS A REMANUFACURED LONG BLOCK. THE TRUCK HAS THE USUAL EXHAUST LEAKS A 390 IS NOTORIOUS FOR. HAS ONE SMALL CREASE IN THE BED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND RUST ON THE DOOR SKINS BUT NO OTHER RUST THAT I HAVE NOTICED. RESERVE IS SET WAY LOW FOR AS MUCH WORK AS THIS TRUCK HAS HAD DONE TO IT. THE REAR FRAME RAILS HAVE BEEN C'ED FOR CLEARANCE IF YOU WANT TO LOWER IT. IT WAS SITTING IN THE WEEDS SO TO SPEAK WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND I RAISED IT BACK UP TO SELL IT. WINNING BIDDER CAN HAVE THE 2" LOWERING SPINDLES THAT GO TO IT IF THEY WANT THEM. THE TIRES HAVE DECENT TREAD BUT AREW WEATHER CRACKED. SO WINNING BIDDER WILL PROBABLY WANT TO LOAD IT ON A TRAILER. ASK ANY QUESTIONS AND I WILL ANSWER THEM TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS.

The 2015 Ford Mustang is not so mellow in yellow
Tue, 14 Jan 2014When we first saw the 2015 Ford Mustang, much was made of its new, more expressive color palette, which includes the return of both yellow and orange in addition to a new grayish shade, Guard. At that time, we didn't have anything to look at but a few small scale models painted in the new colors - the only Mustangs on display were in Race Red.
For its auto show debut here at in the Motor City, Ford has trotted out a couple of as-yet-unseen shades, including the striking Triple Yellow shown above. The new shade marks a return to a paint color that enthusiasts have been clamoring for, and we must say, it looks excellent under the lights of Cobo Hall.
Stat wise, there are still a number of questions we have about the redesigned Mustang. None of the three engines have had official power figures published. The same goes for pricing information, although if any loose-lipped execs let something slip in Detroit, we'll be sure to let you know. Until then, have a look at the new Triple Yellow Mustang on display at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
Ford F-250 boots Cadillac Escalade from atop thieves' most-wanted list
Tue, 09 Jul 2013The Ford F-Series has been America's best-selling truck for decades, but along with the good comes the bad, apparently. In addition to being popular with consumers, the Highway Loss Data Institute notes that the F-Series Super Duty has risen in popularity among thieves. Based on its new study, the four-wheel drive crew cab F-250 Super Duty has topped the list for the country's highest rate of insurance theft claims, knocking the Cadillac Escalade from the top spot - a distinction the luxury SUV has held since this annual report was first established in 2003.
To reach its findings, HLDI looks at theft data from the previous three model years (in this case 2010-2012) to determine the frequency of claims for a particular make and mode,l as well as the average payment per claim. As the report points out, the claims aren't always for the theft of the entire vehicle - they can include components (say, wheels and tires) or property taken from the vehicle. At seven claims per 1,000 insured vehicles, the F-250 is six times more likely to suffer a theft claim than the average vehicle.
The Cadillac likely dropped from the top of the list to sixth due to additional theft-prevention features including a steering wheel lock and inclination sensor for the alarm, but GM's other fullsize trucks and SUVs still occupy eight of the list's 10 spots. Some of the least stolen vehicles with below-average loss payments include the Lexus HS250h, Hyundai Tucson, Honda CR-V and Dodge Journey. Head on over to the HLDI's website for the full list that shows the most and least popular vehicles among thieves from 2010 through 2012.
2015 Roush Mustang lineup officially revealed
Thu, 02 Oct 2014
Just last week, Saleen revealed initial details of its tuning program for the new Ford Mustang. And now Roush is following suit.
Available in three stages - based on the V6 (RS), EcoBoost (RS1) and V8 (RS2) models - the 2015 Roush Mustangs all feature the venerable Ford tuner's latest R7 aero kit complete with remodeled fascia, five-blade grille, gaping air dam with integrated driving lamps and splitter. Around back there's a one-piece deck spoiler and "race-inspired lower aero-valance."
