ONE OWNER TRUCK WITH ORIGINAL CAMPER TOP HE PURCHASED. (ALL LIGHTS WORK ON TOP, IT IS MISSING 2 LENS COVERS)
Up for auction is this unrestored 1972 Ford Truck with a 351 engine and 3 speed manual transmission. It runs great and does not smoke….cranks very easily (it does drip just a little oil, not a lot). This truck has not been driven alot in the last 3 years, so the brakes grab just a little…..they have slowly been getting better as I have been driving it. The undercarriage is VERY SOLID and very clean as well (cab mounts look good and solid / see photos). Please watch videos of the doors opening and closing with ease. All door locks work with key) Recently installed dual exhaust and new flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, shifter linkage bushings and throw out bearing. It runs, drives and shifts smooth.
Please ask any questions for more information and if needed, more pictures. This is a 42 year old truck. It has very solid original sheet metal with minor surface rust in places (see photos). It has small dents, paint chips and scratches. It also has minor damage on passenger side (I was told the old man scraped the passenger side when backing out of his garage, damaging the molding, bending the front bumper and making a small crease on passenger body side (it did not even scratch the paint) and a small bend at bottom of front fender corner….see photos). I have most of the replacement trim for that side.
Inspections are welcome, just give me a call or email! You must have 10 plus feedback to bid on this truck! Please contact me with any other questions or to make other arrangements.

Watch the Hennessey Ford GT makes its record run at Texas Mile
Wed, 27 Mar 2013We said they'd probably be out with an official video, we did not lie. The Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT sat at one end of the runway at the Texas Mile sitting still. At the other end of the runway it had broken its own speed record, the twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8 pushing the aerodynamic supercar up to 267.6 miles per hour, a 4.3-mph improvement over the old mark.
There's not much in the video you haven't already seen, this just makes it official. That said, who doesn't want to see a twin-turbo Ford GT set an incredible speed record? You can watch it below.
Toyota again claims Corolla outsold Focus worldwide
Wed, 10 Apr 2013Toyota isn't convinced the Ford Focus was the best-selling nameplate globally last year. Bloomberg reports that for the second time in seven months, both Toyota and Ford are laying claim to the title. Ford cites R.L. Polk & Co. data that says the automaker moved some 1.02 million Focus models in 2012 compared to just 872,774 Toyota Corolla units. But Toyota says the actual figure is closer to 1.16 million Corolla models.
Last year, Ford said it took the sales crown through the fist half of 2012 based on information from IHS Automotive, but Toyota pointed out those numbers left out models like the Corolla-based Matrix and Auris, as well as the Corolla Fielder and Scion xB-based Corolla Rumion. Whether or not Toyota's belief that all these cars should be counted in the Corolla bucket is accurate or not is seemingly up for debate... as is the question of why it matters so much to both parties.
This time around, Ford is holding the line that the Focus is the "best-selling nameplate," with Erich Merkle, a US sales analyst with Ford saying the company's figure is, "a pure number that is verified by a third party." Toyota, meanwhile, has requested clarification from Polk.
Lincoln 'not true luxury' yet, says Ford design chief
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Lincoln is "not true luxury," according to Ford's design boss, J Mays. His statements come from a story in The Detroit News that saw candid language on the issues facing Ford's troubled premium brand. Notably, there's a need for a strong character, with Mays saying, "Every brand needs to have a DNA and a unique selling point and things in the vehicle that make you think, 'That's that particular brand.'"
With a range of rebadged Fords, it's not hard to see why that DNA is missing. Mays hinted that a full recovery for Lincoln will be a ten-year process, that's been kicked off with the MKZ sedan. While that car is still largely a Ford Fusion under its extremely pretty wrapper, it's the first Lincoln in some time to inject its own unique take both through the exterior styling and through interior features, such as the vertical, pushbutton gear selection.
Some analysts weren't so certain about Mays' 10-year estimate. Jim Hall of 2953 Analytics thinks it'll be more like 30 years before Lincoln can show a true return to form. The issue, as Hall explains it, is that, "luxury has a degree of exclusivity," that Lincoln just doesn't have. Michelle Krebs from Edmunds adds, "it's definitely a wanna-be luxury brand," comparing the troubled American brand with Infiniti and Acura, two other brands that have struggled to find their place in the luxury market.
