TOUTING BIG TRUCK TOUGHNESS, BUT THE RIDING SMOOTHNESS OF A PASSENGER CAR
This 1964 F-100 has undergone a restoration to bring it back to the way it was in '64 -   but better.  Only a few changes/upgrades have been made (new radial whitewall tires, Rhino bed liner, undercarriage rust proofing after restoration, radio was sent out by Ford dealer to change it to AM-FM, tonneau cover).  The truck runs and drives like new, but even better because of the radials.  With only 53,000 original miles and coming from California (assembled at the San Jose plant), the restoration was not a big job.  The interior is almost entirely original, the bed & tailgate look great and the undercarriage has a unmolested/new look.  You could use this truck for shows, bicycles/sporting goods, hauling stuff for weekend yard jobs and that cup of coffee at the local coffee shop.

On Dec-14-13 at 11:50:45 PST, seller added the following information:

This truck has the rare larger "B" 6 cylinder 262 engine.  The "B" on the vin. tag and the oil cap location in the center of the valve cover confirms the engine size.
Sorry for the confusion, I just learned of this.

2015 Ford Mustang GT [w/video]

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

At 50 years old, the object of fantasies, a tuner's dream, a movie star and more than nine million strong, it couldn't be truer to say that the Ford Mustang needs no introduction. This newest Mustang, however - making the biggest changes we've seen to the pony car since perhaps 1964.5 - is something Ford has been introducing all year.
We went on a Deep Dive, covered the way it looks when it was revealed, detailed the engine specs, got a ride in the EcoBoost and listened to the V8, got rolling footage and watched it do a standard-feature burnout.
The only thing left to do? Drive it. Having now done so for a few hours around Los Angeles, what we can tell you is to forget everything you know about the Mustang. This new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment.

Ward's reveals annual 10 Best Engines list for 2013

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Ward's Auto has released its annual 10 Best Engines award winners. The 2013 list covers the full width and breadth of the internal combustion spectrum, from a spate of efficient four-cylinders to the most powerful production V8 on the planet. As always, the entries must be available in a production vehicle in the first quarter of 2013 with an MSRP of less than $55,000. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S5 held on for the fourth consecutive year, and BMW earned two spots on the list with its turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.
Ford pulled in two awards for its 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and and the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500. Honda matched BMW and Ford with two wins of its own. Wards awarded the 2.4-liter four-cylinder from the Honda Accord Sport as well as the 3.5-liter V6 from the Honda Accord. Chrysler, General Motors and Subaru each garnered a spot on the list as well for the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Cadillac ATS and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder the Subaru BRZ, respectively. NHTSA and Ford investigating steering issues in Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Marauder

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

There may be more steering woes for the Ford Crown Victoria. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary evaluation into the Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis from the 2004 to 2007 model years and the Mercury Marauder for the 2004 and 2005 model years because the steering shaft can jam. The issue could potentially affect an estimated 500,000 vehicles.
According to the regulator, there is a possibility that the driver's side heat shield for the exhaust manifold can rust, dislodge, and then wedge into the steering shaft. If this occurs, it leads to a situation where the driver can no longer control the car.
NHTSA has received five complaints of this happening, including one alleged case with an injury. In that situation, the car was driving onto the highway, lost control and rolled over. One occupant was hurt in the accident.
