Pretty Prairie, Kansas, United States

This is a 1966 F-100 owned by my dad who drove it off the show room floor in 1966 my son and I pulled it from the pasture in the early 2000s and started restoring it. A mistake almost with the work it needed. I'm pretty sure there are those out there that know what I mean. The motor is the original 352V8 I did have it rebuilt with all new parts a few extras were added like a 4 barrel intake and carb electronic ignition ect. I do have the original 2 barrel intake for the motor. The original 4 speed transmission I replaced with a 4 speed overdrive made a big difference in fuel as 1500 RPM runs the truck at 65mph no modifications were done doing this I used the same cross member and no holes were drilled in the frame for the install the pressure plate clutch throw out bearing and pilot bearing were replaced as well and the flywheel turned to. I did have a one piece aluminum drive shaft made to eliminate the two piece carrier bearing set up.  I do have the original 4 speed transmission as well. As you can see from the photos it was taken all the way down when we started on it. 95 % of the chrome is new all brakes bearings ect are new. The door hinges window cranks door latches window molding's ect all new.The paint is pearl white interior is pearl white and blue I installed power steering as well so all components are new. The bed is rhino lined and has a heavy rubber mat in it some photos show a tool box in it that will not go with the sale unless you want it also no holes were drilled in the bed to mount that either. This is a very fun truck to drive and very solid can be driven anywhere or just sit and look at. The truck may have 10,000 miles on all the work done So if you have been looking for a vintage truck at a more then fair price as I have looked at many this may be the one for you thanks for viewing my add if you have questions ask or would like a special photo that I don't have on here just ask for that to by e-mail or by phone 620-200-1285 Dave

Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage

Mon, 03 Jan 2011

The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.

Petrolicious pays visit to tuning sensation the Ringbrothers

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

We caught up with a few projects from Ringbrothers at SEMA this year: a classic Ford Mustang body rendered in carbon fiber, and a De Tomaso Pantera-based concept that made us swoon.
It's with good timing then, that our friends at Petrolicious have uploaded their newest, well-crafted mini-documentary to the expansive airwaves of the Internet. Here, we meet the brothers Ring in person - Mike and Jim - and see how they've lent they're passion for craftsmanship to their business, along with their surname. A 1964 Ford Fairlane dubbed "Afterburner" and a 1965 Mustang called "Producer" star in this show.

Ford pits Cobra Jet versus GRC Fiesta ST, worlds collide

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

Racing takes on many forms in the automotive world. There are sanctioned events that are as varied and diverse as NASCAR, Formula One, Global Rallycross and drag racing, and to be good enough to win competitively in one discipline, you need to have a specialized vehicle. Or do you?
Ford decided to find out what would happen when its Global Rallycross Fiesta ST, driven by Tanner Foust, lined up against its Mustang Cobra Jet drag racer, driven by Roy Hill. In one lane, Tanner has just 2.0 liters of displacement to work with, while Roy has more than double that, at 5.0 liters. Evening the playing field a bit, Tanner has a massive turbocharger and all-wheel drive; Roy has to filter all his supercharged power through the rear wheels only.
So, who wins? We suggest you see for yourself in the press release and video below. And we're holding out hope that Tanner's challenge at the end results in another video from Ford Racing...
