UP for auction is a 1996 Ford F-150 XLT 4X4 Single cab.
It has 154,000 original miles on it. It has a five-speed manual transmission and V-8 Engine (302 block). The seat covers are custom made and water proof. The tires have 3,000 miles on them and I have an extra set of wheels. Heat and A/C both work great! Aftermarket radio, single CD player. I have restored the truck, and the bed has been repainted and undercoated. It has new shocks both front and back, new brake lines from the cab back, new brake pads, shoes, drums, and brake cylinders. The frame from the cab back has been repainted, bed and tailgate mat, new heater core, new radiator, radiator hoses and thermostat, new battery, spark plugs, wires, and rotary cap. It has a new front fuel tank, the rear tank has been removed. It has a Flowmaster dual exhaust with stainless tips. Also has a 2'' hitch receiver and trailer plug. Fewest vehicles ever found eligible for Most American survey
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Once again, the most American car on the market is from an American brand. The Ford F-150 retained its number one spot in Cars.com's annual survey of the most American vehicles, trumping the Toyota Camry, which remains at number two.
Ford taking the top spot is small consolation, though, as the Detroit Three aren't too well represented here. General Motors scored a win at number seven, with the Chevrolet Corvette, while Chrysler squeaked in at number ten, with the Dodge Viper. Outside of those three vehicles, Toyota and Honda dominate the top ten.
What's most remarkable, though, is that there were so few cars available for this year's list.
Ford hiring 800 more salaried workers than originally expected
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is on a roll this year, with excellent quarterly earnings and better-than-expected vehicle sales leading to 800 more job opportunities with the Blue Oval. In January, Ford announced that it wanted to hire 2,200 salaried employees, but, since then, that figure has been revised to 3,000, representing a 36-percent increase over original projections. About 1,500 of those jobs remain, 80 percent of which are technical professional positions.
"Engineers and technical professionals are in as much demand as our cars, trucks and SUVs," says Felicia Fields, Ford Group Vice President for Human Resources. Helping to spur this job growth are increasing market share on both the West and East Coast and robust demand for the Ford Escape and F-150.
To find job candidates, Ford is reaching out to them via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, in addition to the company's corporate career site. The Blue Oval is also ramping up its presence on college campuses.
