2003 Ford F150 Quad Cab 4x4 Lariat FX4 Off Road. This is a darn clean, well maintained truck that needs nothing but a new home. It doesn't have your typical Ford bed side and door rust. it was Zeibarted when new and washed and waxed regularly. It is a Lariat, so it has everything, power/heated/leather seats, power adjustable pedals, Cd/Cass player, automatic head lights, fog lights, alloy wheels, keyless entry, alarm, trailer tow package, step tubes, bed liner, the 5.4L Triton, cruise, tilt, sliding rear window, FX4 Off Road package with skid plates, tow hooks and so much more. Two nice locking tool boxes and a removable latter rack were added for lots of extra storage. It just turned 150K, which is about average miles. My Brother In Law has a pool business and he used the truck mostly for service calls, the miles are mostly highway. All his company trucks follow the factory maintenance schedules, and he has a in house mechanic to keep his fleet going. Oil was just changed and it just got a new set of Michelins all around. Only thing that isn't perfect is that it has a small exhaust leak, which they are known for but doesn't effect it other than you can hear it slightly. No sense in fixing them it will just come back. He has ten Fords and they all have it, he gave up on that long ago. Feel free to call me anytime to make a time to get together, make offer and take her home at 412-974-6789, Travis. When you call if you leave a message, specify that your calling about the Ford pick up. I listed it for my brother in law because I do all the advertising for a large car dealership and get calls on different cars all day long, this one is private owned and in my driveway currently.

A closer look at the 2015 Ford F-150
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Despite having to share Ford's Detroit Auto Show stand with the hot new 2015 Mustang, the brand-new F-150 was arguably an even more important debut. Why? Ford moved some 700,000 examples of its F-Series truck in 2012, making it not only the best-selling pickup truck, but the top-selling vehicle in the US, by a long-shot.
The 2015 F-150 raises the bar for pickup trucks in a big way, with big-time use of aluminum. Because of this, roughly 700 pounds have been removed from the truck's overall weight, making it even more efficient than before, while still offering all of the capability that pickup owners expect. And with a host of engines under the hood, including a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2015 F-150 will surely offer something for everyone.
During the Detroit Auto Show, west coast editor Michael Harley took a closer look at the new F-150, talking to some of the truck's engineers. Have a look at the full video, below.
Ford to build next F-150, outgoing model concurrently?
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is rumored to be considering concurrent production for old and new F-150 models in a bid to minimize supply chain disruptions and inventory. Automotive News is reporting that the Blue Oval will build both the current F-150 and its replacement, which we showed you testing just last month, side by side for about half a year before switching over entirely to next-generation production.
As IHS Automotive analyst Mike Jackson told AN, "In order to ramp up, you have to retool...and that means you have to take capacity offline." Building both models alongside could allow Ford to cope with the still strong demand for the current F-150, while populating dealer supplies and working out supply chain kinks for the new model before making a full-time switch.
A loss of capacity when demand is so strong, even for a short period, could spell bad news for Ford, which nets an estimated 90 percent of its global profit on pickups and large SUVs. As AN states, Ford produces the F-150 in both Kansas City, Missouri and Dearborn, Michigan, which allows it to maintain some degree of flexibility in production. The new F-150 is expected to arrive at the 2014 North American International Auto Show as a 2015 model, with a design inspired by the Atlas Concept first shown at the Detroit Auto Show last January.
This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars
Tue, 25 Feb 2014The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
