I drive the truck daily so will have a few more miles at time of sale.

I purchased this truck from Fairway Ford in Greenville, SC on 7/15/2009 with 35,025 miles. I put new tires on it at approximately 45,000 miles so they will most likely need replacing in the next 12-15K miles. I have always kept them rotated every 5K miles so they have worn evenly and are still in good shape. New front brake rotors, spindle nuts and ceramic brake pads installed on 3/02/2012 at 75,934 miles.  New shocks installed and alignment completed on 7/23/2012 at 81,575 miles.

The only reason I’m selling is I will be getting a company car and no longer need my truck.  The truck is being sold As Is with no expressed or implied warranty but I have never had any problems with this truck. No mechanical issues or leaks of any kind. Vehicle is available for local pick up.  If buyer would like to have the truck shipped they will have to do so at their own expense, but I will be glad to help.

The only known issues are the following:
·  Bumper:  Backed into a tree stump moving the truck in the yard and turned a trailer too sharp causing minor damage.(See Picture) New chrome bumper with top cover runs between $225 and $260 on Ebay.
·  Tailgate:   2 small dings from the tree stump. (See Picture)
·  I have 3 children so some minor stains on the interior (See Pictures)
·  2 small spots on the interior from previous owner. (See Pictures) We are a non-smoking family but these appear to be possible burns, but no smoke smell in the vehicle.
·  Power adjusting mirrors have never worked.

If you have any questions, want additional pictures of the vehicle or want to come by and see the vehicle please send me an email. Buyer is responsible for the shipping but I would be glad to help.

EU formally questions French government assistance of Peugeot's finance arm

Fri, 28 Dec 2012

Recently, the finance arm of PSA/Peugeot-Citroën was in such debt trouble that it was pricing itself out of the car loan market. The rates it was paying to service its debt, which was rated one step above junk, were so high that it was forced to charge car-buying customers higher rates than they could find elsewhere. This was adding to Peugeot's already impressive woes by sending revenue out the door to competitors.
Two months ago a deal was worked out with the French government whereby the state would provide 7 billion euro ($9 billion USD) in bonds to guarantee the finance arm's loans. The French government could nominate someone to join the Peugeot board, Peugeot would guarantee more French jobs, and on top of that deal, other banks would provide non-guaranteed loans. The government would take no equity stake in the car company.
Although not yet finalized, the arrangement is meant to create some breathing room for Peugeot Finance to lower its interest rates for customers, and a government-nominated board member, Louis Gallois, was recently named to Peugeot's supervisory board. The arrangement was also openly questioned by at least three competitors: Ford, Renault - which is 15-percent owned by the French government after it received state aid - and the German state of Lower Saxony, itself a 15-percent shareholder in Volkswagen.

Ford Edge Concept previews new look, can park itself remotely

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

It turns out the image we saw back in February did, in fact, reveal the next-generation Ford Edge - at least in concept form. We still have to wait to see what the design will look like in production guise, but until then, Ford is giving us a good idea thanks to the Edge Concept being introduced at the LA Auto Show.
The new styling is an evolution of the current crossover's face with narrow headlights and a prominently slatted grille, while the rest of the design adds a more dynamic appearance with interesting body creases and horizontal taillights. We haven't gotten a look inside the Edge Concept just yet, but Ford is promising a suite of advanced driver-assist technologies including a new self-park system that allows activation from inside or outside the vehicle along with obstacle avoidance and an adaptive electric power steering system.
Ford will continue to offer an EcoBoost engine option in the upcoming Edge, and it will get active grille shutters to help maximize fuel efficiency. No word yet on when we'll be seeing the next-gen Edge in production form, but as we reported recently, it will become a global model in markets including Europe, China and South America. Ford's press release is posted below, but we'll have more information and images up later today.

Ken Block rally cars go blue in the face (and everywhere else)

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Well at least we now know why Ken Block "just ain't care" about smashing up his Ford Fiesta rally car recently. It's because he's getting a full brand makeover including a new team name, new paint scheme and even a new headquarters. Formerly known as Monster World Rally Team, Block and his Fiesta will now be competing under the Hoonigan Racing Division name, which is based out of a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Park City, UT.
As you can tell in the image above, Hoonigan Racing will replace the familiar black, white and green paint scheme with a more colorful design featuring plenty of blue, purple and red; the Monster Energy logo retains some of the car's green. The new paint scheme was inspired by Block's love of skateboard graphics from the '80s and early '90s as well as "Miami Vice-era" speedboats.
Block will continue to compete in multiple rally racing series such as Global RallyCross, World Rally Championship and X Games. The new headquarters features office space on one side and a shop for the cars on the other side. The building features plenty of stuff you'd expect from a company designed around Ken Block, including a massive gaming station for racing video games, recycled shipping containers used throughout the facility and a black bear.
