2010 Ford F-150 Xlt Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 5.4l on 2040-cars
Nauvoo, Illinois, United States
For auction a nice 2010 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew Cab 4x4 with 6.5' Bed. I have three F-150s and only keeping my 2013. Wife says both the 2010 and 1999 (see other listing) need to go. This truck runs and functions perfectly. Noticed exhaust leak and had it looked at with a gasket and bolt replacement to fix for estimated bill of $200.00. Wife used this truck all Winter so didn't have time to take in to fix. I am discounting price for this fix. I have owned this truck since 91K miles and it has performed flawlessly and purchased it for another business of mine. When I purchased this truck at 91K I had a authorized Ford dealer check over everthing, had oils changed, the plugs changed, and performed all necessary service requirements. Everything looked good and I had the plugs changed anyways because I have heard they are sometimes difficult to get out with higher mileage trucks on 5.4L if you wait to long. No worry it was fine, but did anyways with the high dollar platinums. I put a new battery in her last winter. Tire are extreme blizzard snow tires with 20% remaining. Front brakes have been replaced during my ownership. Besides what I mentioned above, it has normal wear for a truck with 102K miles, like a few rock chips and very mild scratches of which have for the most part been touched up. There is no dents on the truck anywere and the paint shines. I have priced this truck considerably below retail to move it fast. You are welcome to email me through the regular ebay channels. Please serious inquires and I will not tolerate and will turn you in for solicitations and scams. This truck is for sale locally and therefore I reserve the right to terminate this listing upon an accepted offer. Mileage in photo is incorrect as my wife drove all winter so it is right at 102,500K Miles. Options include: Tow Package, Camper Package Mirrors, Block Heater, 4x4, Trailer Controller, Six Passenger Seating, Everything Power, Bug Guard, Running Boards, Bed Liner, Alloy Wheels, and much more standard XLT options. See Original Window Sticker in Photo. Noticed exhaust leak in right manifold. Had checked and a $200 fix for gasket and bolt. Truck runs and functions great.Additional photos available upon request. Appointments can be arranged to view the truck with prior notice. Good luck and any questions please feel free to contact me. I have the buy it now at Clean Trade In and we all know if you went to a dealer they would be asking a couple thousand over clean retail and would probably settle for clean retail which is $23.9K after high mileage deduction for this truck. Thank you, Tim

Americans will get a four-cylinder Ford Mustang after all? [w/poll]
Sat, 09 Mar 2013Ask and you shall receive. Remember that previous report suggesting that the 2015 Ford Mustang getting a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and that it would be sold in Europe only and not the United States? Well, according to Road & Track, the rumor is only partially true - The Mustang will get the engine, but it is indeed coming to America.
Additionally, according to RT, the 3.7-liter V6 will continue to serve as the base engine, and since it offers up a stout 305 horsepower in its current form, it's likely that the 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost will produce a bit more than that. At the top of the range, the Mustang GT will continue to soldier on with a V8 engine, which should continue to send over 400 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Finally, while we agree 100 percent with RT's heartfelt request for a paddle-shift automatic, we certainly expect that the EcoBoost 'Stang will be offered with a manual transmission as standard equipment. This is a Mustang, after all...
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a bit of a dyno issue
Tue, 28 May 2013We're of the mind that each and every dyno should come with Murphy's Law painted in big, visible letters down the side. For every ten successful dyno runs out there, it seems there's one where events to horribly wrong. Take, for example, the video below. The clip shows what happens when a Ford Shelby GT500 and a mobile dyno have a bit of a disagreement at the Performance Expo 24 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We won't spoil the results for you, but we will say there's some substantial carnage involved.
It's unclear just how much damage ensues from the dust up or whether anyone was harmed in the incident, but from the looks of things, everyone made it out without serious injury. If only we could say the same for the machines involved. Check out the video below.
Ford recalling 126,000 Fusions and Milans over wheel separation concern
Fri, 09 Dec 2011Ford has announced a recall of certain Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan vehicles after an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A total of 128,616 2010 and 2011 models equipped with steel wheels may have been manufactured with wheel studs that could crack and split over time. If that happens, the vehicle may experience a wheel separation.
According to The Detroit News, the company is aware of a total of 30 wheel separation incidents, one of which occurred on the front of the vehicle. Even so, no injuries have been reported as a result of the defect.
The problem apparently stems from the fact that the mounting pads on the vehicles' steel wheels may have been faulty from the factory. In addition, the wheel mounting face on rear disc brakes may not have been installed properly. Ford will inspect the rear disc face and replace them as necessary. In addition, the company will replace all of the vehicle's wheel studs free of charge. Head to the NHTSA website for more information, and click past the jump to view the full recall notice.
