Up for bid is my 1994 Ford F-150 XLT. This is a great little truck that could be used as a good solid work horse or as a daily driver. The truck is very solid with little rust. It has the 5.0 V8, which runs great. I had the cooling system flushed and filled in August 2013. It also has working air conditioning that will freeze you out of the cab, great for those hot summer days. I had a new windshield installed in August 2013 due to a stone chip that cracked on the old one. The windshield was repaired at Belle Tire in Lansing and the glass tech. showed me at how solid the metal was around the windshield which apparently surprised him for the vintage of the truck. Belle Tire also rebuilt the front brake calipers and installed new brakes and rotors the same day as the installation of the new windshield. At the end of August I had all new Goodyear Wrangler tires installed on the truck. Everything on the truck works! The truck has 2 gas tanks and the rear tank does leak, but it does work when fuel is in it. The bed is in good shape and appears to have had a bed liner in it most of its life, there is one spot where the bed was damaged and is photographed for you to see (appears to be a small crack or rip in sheet metal, has never been an issue for me) I have used this to haul a small 14ft Aluminum fishing boat around and to haul a few things around. It is a 5 speed stick shift and the clutch is great. I was told that a new clutch was put in a few months before I bought it, which was in June. The steering does have a small amount of play in it and has never been an issue to me as it DOES have some miles on it, but the truck drives straight and stops straight A truck doesn't get to be this age and drive as good as this does without having been well taken care of. I'm sure this truck wont disappoint you. This is a great old unmolested Ford that is all stock like the day it was bought and that is why I bought it and kept it that way. |

Ford could post best-ever profits in Q1 2013
Tue, 23 Apr 2013Analysts are saying that Ford Motor Company may have earned a record $2.7 billion pretax profit in North America during the first quarter of 2013, a number that represents its highest first quarter profit ever. The impressive earnings are further proof that the American automaker is making a solid comeback as the economy begins to recover.
Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan Chase are estimating that Ford's first quarter North American profit may have topped 12 percent. The firm cited the automaker's fresh lineup, but noted that CEO Alan Mulally needs to uphold the pace as the company works to gain ground in the car and utility segments.
Ford's success has been led by increased demand for its F-Series pickup, the best-selling vehicle in the US for 31 years, and by the Fusion sedan that recently recorded its best-ever quarterly sales in the domestic market. Ford is expected to release its first-quarter revenue on Wednesday, of this week.
Ford Fusion and Fusion Hybrid nab five-star ratings from NHTSA
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Ford's Fusion and Fusion Hybrid have both received the highest five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The rating is a big upgrade for the Fusion, which was completely redesigned for 2013. The previous model fell one star short of the top rating, after scoring only three stars in the frontal crash test and four stars in the side crash test and rollover evaluations. The 2013 Fusion received four stars in side crash and rollover testing and a full five stars in the front crash test.
Test results for the 2013 Fusion and Fusion Hybrid were greatly improved at least in part due to Ford's Personal Safety System. The system utilizes smarter sensors to gather crash data and tailor the car's restraint systems to the occupants. Seatbelt usage and seat position are taken into account to ensure airbags deploy with less pressure for smaller drivers, more for larger drivers.
The 2013 Fusion twins also received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+ designation. Read the official press release below.
Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany
Sat, 29 Jun 2013Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
