I have a 1969 Ford F250 for sale with 71,184 original miles.  I am the second owner and must sell as I got married and am moving to a home where I cannot garage this truck.  It has been garaged or shedded every night of it's life according to the original owner and at my place.  It is not a camper special but a Custom Cab model F250.  The photos show the condition as well as I can ever describe, interior is excellent, headliner like new, dash pad perfect, seat has only a few cracks in the vinyl under driver position, rubber floor mat near perfect and all gauges and controls work as well as the radio.  There have been no alterations to this truck except the original owner (farmer) did the custom dump bed welding himself, dual cylinder, electric hydraulic pump as shown in the pics.  New 10 ply commercial radial rear tires and very good radial fronts on sand blasted and powder coated 16" wheels with chrome hub caps, good usable radial spare as well.  Toggle switch left side of steering column controls the dump bed.

The paint is original with some surface rust at chips in the paint and some small dents in the hood that do not show in a photo.

The front cab mounts are in good solid shape, little rust in the rear cab corners and left front fender was dented and torn in the bottom where it usually rusts so it could use a left front fender.  That is an easy job as you Ford truck guys know.  All the inner fenders are in great shape as is the cab floor, no rust at all.

Engine is a 360 with a 2 barrel, runs good and drives good, steering is tight but manual, no power steering but it does steer very easily.  Has a 4 speed granny low floor shift that works as it should.

The  floor of the bed was primed with a high zinc industrial yellow paint and I was going to have it Rhino lined but now with my moving I will not be doing that.

The truck has all new brakes with new shoes, wheel cylinders, some lines and some hoses, wheel bearings and work great for not being power brakes.

The glass is all good, no cracks, chips or fogging and the windows operate easily up and down.  I have clear title and original owner manual as well.

Free pickup at my home near Waverly, Ne. about 10 miles northeast of Lincoln or arrange your carrier to deliver at your cost.

Payment with cash at pickup, bank certified check (title after check clears) with PayPal deposit of at least $500.

Ford Australia reveals updated Territory, Falcon via Twitter

Mon, 28 Jul 2014

Ford may have tied together much of its global lineup under the One Ford campaign, but one market where it still offers unique products is Australia. That will soon draw to a close as well, but before it does, the Blue Oval's Aussie operations are rolling out refreshed versions of its two unique products. For the moment, Ford isn't revealing much in the way of powertrain details, but it has shown off a couple of snaps of the revised products on its in-market Twitter feed.
First up is the new Territory. The SUV is neither based on a front-drive crossover platform nor on a truck frame, but shares its rear-drive underpinnings with the Falcon, taking it a step beyond the Falcon wagon alongside which it sits in Ford's Aussie range. Like the outgoing third-generation SZ Territory, the facelifted version is dominated by a narrow grille and larger front air dam, but further punctuates its big-chinned look with more rugged lower cladding and other metallic inserts that bring its look up to date.
And there's the Falcon, which Ford revealed in XR8 trim just last week and is now presenting in G6E spec. If the XR8 is the performance model, the G6E is the luxury version, swapping in more refined trim like a chrome-slat grille (instead of a black honeycomb), chrome foglamp surrounds, less-aggressive multi-spoke wheels (instead of five-spokes) and a flatter hood (instead of a power bulge). Otherwise, it looks essentially the same as the one we saw last week, its facelift bringing it more in line with the smaller, front-drive Mondeo (which we know here as the Fusion) and other members of the Ford family.

eBay Find Of The Day: 1988 Saleen Ford Mustang General Tire 21R race car

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

Saleen may be making headlines these days for working on the Tesla Model S, but its history and bread-and-butter is all about the Ford Mustang. The rear-wheel-drive Dearborn pony cars singlehandedly put the company on the map in the '80s. Founder Steve Saleen was already a talented American racing driver when he started the venture, and like many auto industry businesses before him, Saleen went to the track to prove his vehicles' worth. Now, there's a chance to buy one of those early racers on eBay Motors.
Saleen Mustangs raced in the Sports Car Club of America Escort Endurance Championship - a series of multi-hour races meant to challenge man and machine. Ostensibly a showroom stock class, the cars had larger wheels, tuned suspensions and other upgrades that stretched the concept slightly. Saleen found major success though, taking the championship for its class in 1987 and winning the 24 Hours of Mosport consecutively from 1986 through 1988.
According to the seller, Saleen only built eight of these cars, and this one carries the #21R serial number. They all started life as new Mustangs from Ford dealers but were immediately stripped and prepped to go racing. Beyond obvious mods like a roll cage, they featured eight-inch wide wheels in front, an inch of additional track width, stiffer suspension bushings and much more.

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible makes inappropriate appearance in Detroit [w/video]

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

With the polar vortex fresh in the minds of Autoblog's Detroit-based staff, we're finding it funny that any manufacturer would choose January in the Motor City to show off a new and highly anticipated convertible to the general media and public for the first time. But Ford has done just that, giving us our first real peek at the new Mustang Convertible in the flesh.
The new Mustang Convertible is more or less unchanged from the standard coupe, with some subtle styling tweaks to accommodate the retractable soft top. Engine and transmission choices are identical to the hardtop, although we should expect slightly lower performance due to the hardware for the roof. Like the coupe, neither prices nor performance metrics have been published yet for the convertible.
Hop up top for our live gallery of images from the floor of the Detroit Auto Show.
