1970 Ford F250 Sport Custom

(special camper and trailer hauling equipped)

Has Factory radio, CB antenna Hookup, Heavy Duty Leafs, after factory tow reciever hitch, and extra camper tie-downs on bed and tie down that runs under the truck. Has a camper electrical hookup that is located near the driver door for easy hookup. also has a separate electrical hookup on the rear reciever hitch to haul and supply power to trailers. Behind the seat tool box for extra storage. Also is equipped with engine block heater to prevent cold starts.

This truck does have some minor dents and a few rust spots but nothing major that I have found. Has what I was told is a 390 engine But I'm no expert. everything appears to be original to me and in excellent condition for this year of truck.

The interior is in great condition with the factory radio in it and it still works. the seat is fading in color for the original black but it is a two tone seat with leather-like strips breaking up the fabric. there is no tears that I can find in the seat. There is an extremely nice storage box behind the seat where you can store quite a bit of stuff. The fuel gauge appears to not work although I'm not sure why could be a fuse? It has power steering which is excellent to have when driving compared to the manual steering. This is also an automatic. There is no tears in the arm rests either the wire laying on the floor is the CB antenna which you just run through the side vent and hookup to the mirror and youre ready to plug in the CB.

Has new spark plugs, Wire set, Distributor and rotor.

I am the third owner of this truck The first bought this new while in the airforce, The second had owned this truck for 35 years and used it as his dependable truck.

Truck is sold as-is please ask all questions before bidding. It runs great.

This is an excellent truck, runs great and looks excellent . don't miss out on this 1970 Ford F-250 Sports Custom Truck.

2015 Ford Mustang potentially 'leaked' by Car and Driver

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

Few upcoming debuts have been as eagerly anticipated as the all-new Ford Mustang that's expected to debut shortly as the Mustang's 50th anniversary year approaches. Well, Car and Driver magazine would have us wait no longer as it claims to be leaking Ford's new global pony car early.
Of course what you're looking at is just as likely to be a composite rendering based on what C/D projects the new Mustang to look like, but to our eyes it looks spot on. Combining design traits from the Evos Concept with classic Mustang signatures and Ford's Aston-inspired grille treatment, C/D's images - including a complete 360-degree digital navigator - show a Mustang not only for the modern era, but also for global distribution, taking a quintessentially American car to markets its predecessors were never designed for.
Those global considerations are expected to spell the demise of the outgoing Mustang's holdout live rear axle in favor of an independent suspension, and a slight constricting of the exterior dimensions. And thanks to a separate leak, coming from a digital survey, we have apparent confirmation of what will power the new pony car. While the existing 3.7-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 engines will apparently carry over with only slight adjustments in output, the survey confirms a new 2.4-liter turbo four will be positioned in between them, offering slightly more power than the V6 but markedly improved fuel economy for a manageable $560 premium over base.

2015 Ford Focus sedan shows its fresh face in New York

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

That handsome fellow you see above is the 2015 Ford Focus sedan. We liked the looks of the 2014 Focus, and the updates for 2015 only improve things to our eyes, with the adoption of the Aston Martin-inspired grille that has been permeating Ford's lineup these last few years. Sweeping, slightly bulbous headlamps join a revised, more demure lower grille opening to round out the styling updates up front. The rest of the car's look is just slightly massaged, including new taillamp clusters that look much like they did last year.
New for 2015 is the availability of Ford's 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. There's also a new SE Sport Package that adds more aggressive suspension tuning, paddle shifters (when equipped with Ford's six-speed dual-clutch automatic) and a few body kit bits and pieces. Rounding out the mechanical changes are an updated electronic steering rack that promises better feel, suspension tweaks to make the ride more comfortable and some software updates designed to make the dual-clutch gearbox better behave itself.
In addition, inside there are a few interior upgrades, as well as some added comfort and safety tech that includes available blind-spot detection and lane-keeping assist, along with other more incremental changes that all add up to a better vehicle. We suggest you check out the official press release below for all the details, but not before scrolling through our image gallery of live shots above.

Ford, Samsung shack up to bring regen braking to non-hybrid models [w/video]

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

Ford must be desperate to get itself ready for the beach this summer because it is really trying to get into shape. Shortly after unveiling the Lightweight Concept that cut the weight of a Fusion down to that of a Fiesta, it's now the rest of the line's turn for improvement. The company is wrapping up a 10-year research project aimed at developing next-gen automotive batteries to improve efficiency.
Ford claims that 70 percent of its lineup will have stop/start tech by 2017. The key to this massive proliferation is its new dual-battery system that combines a lithium-ion battery with a lead-acid one and regenerative braking. The setup works by harvesting braking energy and converting it to electricity. When the vehicle stops, the engine shuts off, but the Li-ion battery has enough juice to keep the accessories running. The engine starts up again as drivers take their foot off the brake. The layout would mean less wasted gas while idling. It's already available on Ford hybrids and is somewhat similar to the i-Eloop capacitor-based system from Mazda.
The bigger challenge is tuning the regenerative braking right. While hybrid drivers may be a little more adventurous, when it comes to getting a hang of regen braking, conventional buyers might not be so open-minded. The systems have a tendency to be a little grabby at first and then taper off at very low speeds. Ford needs to make sure it's just right to avoid turning off buyers.
