For sale is an 1971 Ford F250 Ranger. I bought this truck a year ago in Maryland for a project truck. The motor had already been rebuilt about 5000 miles before I bought it. I have only driven it maybe at the most 1000 miles. Truck runs great. Needs the carborater adjusted. I'm not skilled in carbs lol. But it has a Holley carb and an elderbrock intake. It has the 360 5.9l motor. It also has the 4speed manual transmission. 1st is a granny gear. The synchronizer for 3rd gear is not great just wont down shift to third all the time.  It's 4wd works great. It doesn't have power steering or power breaks but breaks work great its drum all the way around. I did just resently paint it torch red. Love the color. It has all the trim on the truck $1600 dollars worth of crome. Truck looks great. I will add the project pics to so you can get an idea of the detail put into it. I do have the title in hand and it is switch to an Indiana title. I am getting rid of it cause I amin the process of buying a house and need the money.  But thanks for looking and happy bidding. Feel free to ask questions and if you want additional pics send me your email and I will send them soon as I can.

The restoration process;  I took it clear down to the frame and painted, painted motor and trans, the body restoration I replaced one lower door panel with metal and the cab corners with metal. The rest of the truck wasn't in to bad of shape so just used a fiberglass filler for the small stuff. The fiberglass unlike bondo if gets wet will never swell and deteriorate. So you can trust the stuff. This is the first truck I have done on my own so it's not perfect but I have be complimented on it a lot. I'm pretty proud if the way it turned out. There are still some mechanical thing that need done.  hooking the heater up. I did replace the radio with a new replica one from lmc truck. Lmc truck is where I bought most of the parts  thanks again for looking and happy bidding

Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort

Fri, 24 May 2013

Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.

Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.

eBay Find Of The Day: 1988 Saleen Ford Mustang General Tire 21R race car

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

Saleen may be making headlines these days for working on the Tesla Model S, but its history and bread-and-butter is all about the Ford Mustang. The rear-wheel-drive Dearborn pony cars singlehandedly put the company on the map in the '80s. Founder Steve Saleen was already a talented American racing driver when he started the venture, and like many auto industry businesses before him, Saleen went to the track to prove his vehicles' worth. Now, there's a chance to buy one of those early racers on eBay Motors.
Saleen Mustangs raced in the Sports Car Club of America Escort Endurance Championship - a series of multi-hour races meant to challenge man and machine. Ostensibly a showroom stock class, the cars had larger wheels, tuned suspensions and other upgrades that stretched the concept slightly. Saleen found major success though, taking the championship for its class in 1987 and winning the 24 Hours of Mosport consecutively from 1986 through 1988.
According to the seller, Saleen only built eight of these cars, and this one carries the #21R serial number. They all started life as new Mustangs from Ford dealers but were immediately stripped and prepped to go racing. Beyond obvious mods like a roll cage, they featured eight-inch wide wheels in front, an inch of additional track width, stiffer suspension bushings and much more.
