1992 Ford F250 XLT 4X4 Standard Cab, 8 foot bed

4 speed with overdrive manual transmission.  First gear is a granny gear

This truck has 309000 on the odometer, BUT

351 Windsor was completely rebuilt less than 10,000 miles ago
Brand new Terra Trail Grappler 35X12.50X16 All Terrain tires on Brand New XD series black alloy wheels(less than 6 months old)
(I wanted a tucked in look to the wheels inside the wheelwells.  So I got a rim with an offset that keeps them inside the wheelwell, instead of sticking outside.  So at full turn there is slight tire rubbing, but only at full lock.)
4 inch suspension lift(nice height with a little rake to its stance)
Upper and lower ball joints replaced less than 10,000 miles ago
Steering box replaced
Front and rear brakes were done within the last year and a half.  Brakes do pulsate at lower speeds, because I was an idiot and did not let the shop machine the brand new rotors before they put them on.
Both gas tanks and sending units replaced within the last year.
Front headlights, corners and turn signal lenses replaced with clear lenses
Taillights replaced with stock units cause the originals were all scratched up
Grille was replaced
Interior seat was replaced with a newly covered bench seat from an earlier model
Air conditioning compressor was just replaced last summer, and the A/C system was converted to 134a
Warn front manual hubs
Alpine CD headunit with XM radio
Black Diamond plate toolbox

Don't get me wrong, this is no show truck.  It has its share of scratches, nicks, scrapes, bumps and bruises and typical starting of the usual F-series rust in some places, but it is not rotted out.  It actually looks real good and gets a lot of attention everywhere I drive it.  This is the perfect toy, perfect hunting truck, or even a great base for somebody wanting to build a really nice truck.  I'm willing to take additional pictures of anything anybody wants to see.

Plus, anyone in Maryland, this truck is now 21 model years old, which means no state inspection if you want to put historic tags on it.

I am also advertising this truck locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells locally.

We spy the Ford Mustang King Cobra early at SEMA

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

As is the case with most auto shows, waiting for the reveal of hot new models is the worst part. So, while our own Drew Phillips has been wandering the halls here in Las Vegas since they unlocked the doors for SEMA 2014, we didn't expect him to come back with any big reveals until later in the day. Until this happened.
Meandering by the Ford stand, Phillips eagle-eyed a trunk lid that caught his attention. Popping out from an otherwise draped 2015 Mustang, the matte black lid clearly has the name King Cobra embossed on the rear.
That name is interesting for a few reasons: to start, Ford hasn't used the Cobra name (without "Jet" attached) since way back in 2004, so a new snake is certainly something to take note of. Second, the King Cobra name dates all the way back to the ill-remembered Mustang II, meaning there is a clear link to Blue Oval history here.

Meet Floyd Pullin, 102-year-old honorary president of Ford trucks [w/video]

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

When we talk about trucks we often talk about how loyal truck owners are; it's men like Floyd Pullin who provide the proof. The 102-year-old man from Confluence, Pennsylvania has only owned Ford products since the 1920s, and he's done so well by Ford Trucks that the division named him honorary president for a day, not long after he took delivery of his latest ride, a 2013 F-150 STX.
That's the 16th Ford he's owned. If he bought his first when he was 16, he'd have flipped into a new car or truck about every five years. For 86 years. Not a bad run of business for either side.
Ford Trucks made a video to wish Pullin a happy birthday, which was celebrated at his local Ford dealership and was visited by a Pennsylvania state senator. You can watch it below.

Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.
Refresh your memories with the details of the car, in the press releases below. And if you head out to the Chicago Auto Show this year, don't forget to drop by the Ford stand to have a look.
